September 24
Our StoryA/N: Guard your hearts! The first chapter is finally out! <3

September is often known as the perfect month. It's never too hot or too cold, the wind is refreshing, and the rainbow that illuminates the grey sky after a rainstorm is powerful enough to even make the worst days bright again.
Today seems to be an example of one of those bright days. After an entire night of rain, the clouds finally paved way for the sun to shine. It was perfect for a particularly special occasion that was underway.
"Amu, are you 100% sure about going to their event?" A girl's concerned voice rang out from the other end of the call. "There's going to be a lot of people there and I know you're not the biggest fan of large crowds."
"Mou, you worry way too much, Rio. I'm 110% sure." Amu replied. She placed her mobile phone between her left ear and her shoulder as she threw a light jacket over herself. "Chinen is actually picking me up any minute now and we're going to head there together. It's not too late to change your mind if you want to come along!"
"I think I'll stay here," Rio replied, placing her spare hand in her white coat. She glanced around the empty hospital staff room and leaned her back against the wall. "A lot of people actually called off work today and I think it may be because of the nice weather. The hospital isn't busy but I'll stay here just in case."
"Aww." Amu pouted. "Well, they don't call you the best doctor in Japan for no reason. You definitely earned that title."
Across the line, Rio could hear the doorbell of her best friend's apartment ring and she smiled, knowing exactly who was on the other side of it. "Tell your boyfriend I said hi." She teased.
"He's not my boyfriend!" The younger one protested but even the excitement in her voice was too much for her to hold back. "We're just close friends!"
"Whatever you say, Amu-chan." Rio smiled. "Just stay safe out there, okay?"
"I will, and you go save some lives!"
After the two girls exchanged goodbyes, Amu hung up her phone before quickly rushing towards the door. When she opened it, she was immediately met with a hug from the person she had been looking forward to seeing the entire day.
"I know we saw each other just yesterday too but it feels like ages already." Chinen greeted the girl, releasing her from his embrace. "Are you ready to go?"
The latter nodded with a smile before grabbing her bag then stepping out of her apartment. After locking the door behind her, the two headed towards the parked car outside.
Amu was surprised when Chinen suddenly stepped in front of her to open the passenger door. Still slightly confused by his sudden gesture, she took her seat and waited for him to come around to the driver's end.
As soon as Chinen settled into his seat, he reached back and pulled a bouquet of pink roses from behind him. "This is for you, Amu." He said, nervousness evident in his tone.
"Eh?!" The girl uttered in confusion. She took the bouquet into her grasp and glanced at the flowers. "What's the occasion for this?"
"It's the day that I'm asking you to be my girlfriend."
Amu's expression froze as soon as Chinen uttered his words. "Amu-chan, I know it's only been two weeks since we met but these past two weeks have been the happiest I've ever been. I know that dating someone like me isn't going to be easy but I promise that I'll put you before everything else." Chinen paused. "So... will you be mine?"
"Of course, Chii." Amu replied. Placing her bouquet to the side, she leaned over to embrace him in a second hug and her boyfriend didn't hesitate to return the affection.
"To be honest, I was more nervous about asking you out than my actual concert." The boy chuckled after the two pulled apart.
"There's no way! Any girl would be lucky to be yours."
"But Amu, you're not just any girl." Chinen replied, his words enough to transpose the color of the roses to the girl's cheeks.
Wanting to hide her embarrassment, Amu shifted her gaze in the opposite direction and Chinen smiled at her motion. After taking a last glance at his girlfriend, he shifted the car to 'drive' and began their route to their destination-
-JUMP's 15th-anniversary concert.
--
The outdoor venue was so large that no one could tell that the structure was put together only a month prior to this day. The dimensions of the venue were well needed because after all, today's event was on track to beat the record of the largest concert in Japan.
As the car passed by the front entrance of the outdoor arena, Chinen and Amu were able to take a glimpse of the long lines that were already forming. The show isn't until 3 hours but fans had already begun spilling into the arena.
After the two reached the back entrance, Chinen decided to park next to the red car, which he recognized to be one of his band members. Not wanting to bring any attention to the both of them, Amu also left her bouquet in his car before heading towards the entrance with her boyfriend.
"Here's your VIP pass," Chinen said, passing a hanging card to her. As both of them made their way to JUMP's break lounge, the girl placed the string over her neck, letting the card dangle at its end.
Chinen had hoped that no one was in their lounge room. But instead, the room bustled with staff members who were running back and forth to grab last-minute things from different places. Worried about leaving his girlfriend alone, he turned to Amu but was quickly met by a reassuring smile.
"Your friends are all here already, right?" Amu smiled, pointing to the 9-colored hooks that already had their own jackets in their place, except for one. "I'll be alright on my own. You should go catch up with them!"
Chinen softened his expression and smiled back, grateful for the girl standing in front of him. He quickly placed his jacket on the last empty hook and dropped his bag in a small basket. "Feel free to explore around. You have the same privileges as us so don't feel confined to this room."
Amu nodded then began in a quieter voice. "Will you be back before your concert starts?"
"Of course." The boy whispered back. Chinen fought against every instinct of his to hug her. 'We'll have the time later to spend together.' He encouraged himself, waving his hand at her. "I'll see you later, okay?"
The boy took one last glance at his girlfriend's reassuring expression before finally forcing himself out of the room. As soon as he stepped out, he took a deep breath and then proceeded to JUMP's dressing room to finally greet his friends.
"Chii, you're here." Ryosuke greeted, catching the attention of the other 7 guys in the room. He stood up from his dressing station and made his way over to the younger one. "You're actually late for the first time in ages. Don't tell me that Dai-chan's tardiness is finally rubbing off on you."
"Hey! I've only been late 7 out of 10 times this week. It's an improvement." Daiki protested. "Besides, I'm sure Chii has a reason."
"There's no way that reason doesn't involve a girl." Kei teased, pushing his elbow into Chinen's rib cage.
Hikaru gasped. "Don't tell me, Our Chii has a girlfriend?!" He exclaimed next, reaching over to ruffle his friend's hair.
"Hey, quit teasing him," Yuto began, placing an arm over the youngest's shoulders. "Dude, just tell them the truth and they'll stop bothering you."
"Actually... there is someone I'd like all of you to meet at our post-concert reception." Chinen began but was quickly met by flirty noises from his childhood friends.
"Well, don't say I didn't try to save you there," Yuto replied, but even the edges of his lips curved into a grin. As everyone began interrogating the boy further, Ryosuke stepped aside to finish styling his hair at his station.
"You seem down today." A voice rang from behind him.
Ryosuke turned around and found his best friend placing a chair next to his before sitting down in it. "I just have a lot on my mind." The younger one replied, lowering his arms until his hands reached the bag in front of him.
Daiki watched as Ryosuke ped his backpack before pulling out a ring case. Then slowly, the boy opened i
