"I think you seriously broke me" Baekhyun grunts as he holds his left shoulder in pain, scrunching his face up as he takes a seat on the bed. His brown hair still damp and messy but I just chuckle at my mate

"I'm sorry," I pad lightly towards him and he opens his eyes to watch me but I just bend down to peck his hurt shoulder. 

"Ktin odhy potarub'' As the words roll off my tongue, automatically the magic fixes any pain he has in that area and his posture straightens up "But that's why you never challenge anyone who doesn't know defeat. You'll get hurt." I tell him cockily but he doesn't listen as he stares at my bare legs before him 

"I think my neck hurts too" He finally looks up at me through his wet hair and I raise an eyebrow at him but instead of brushing it off, I comply and straddle his lap, my actions getting bolder by the day. 

He doesn't look phased as my big shirt raises up higher and he firmly wraps an arm around my waist to keep me balanced. I place one hand on his bicep and the other on one side of his neck "Tell me where it hurts Baekhyun'' I breathlessly whisper as my lips hover over his skin and he gulps, his adams apple bobbing 

"E-Everywhere" His lie is evident yet I still choose to play along as I connect my plush lips with his beautiful skin. He sighs in contempt when I begin lightly and in his most sensitive areas. His grip on my waist tightens but I suddenly stop, pulling back to look at his dazed face 

"Feeling better?" I act aloof but he just groans, letting go of me and falling backwards onto the bed "No" His voice strained and raw

"What about..." I trail off, my hands itching to touch him inappropriately but I fight the urge, deciding to attack his sides with tickles instead "Now!" He begins to let out the biggest laughs I've heard him give and he squirms underneath me, trying to get me off but my thighs are tightly glued to his own so he pleads instead "P-P-P-Please! NauEUN!" He roars with happy pain and I continue until my own energy dies down with his. 

We are both panting as I rest my forearms on his chest, bending over to give him an out of breath kiss on his lips which he thanks me by landing a hard slap on my cheek which causes me to slightly jump "Baekhyun!" My eyes wide but he just smiles mischievously, groping the now throbbing area 

"That's just a little punishment," He says nonchalantly, the veins on his neck protruding as he stares into my eyes "Mine is far worse. Trust me" I blush madly, now aware of the hard on that is pressing against the inside of my right thigh "You don't think-" 

"That I'm going into heat?" He runs his hand up my shirt to soothingly rub the side of my bare waist. I nod with hopeful eyes, the excitement written all over my face "Yeah baby," He lets out a small chuckle seeing my willingness "I'm sure my wolf is gonna go crazy soon. I've been trying to be good but you don't make it easy for me" I bite my lower lip, trying to hide my smile 

"Well," I fully sit up as his hands fall back to its original spot beside him "We can make him come out early" I seductively offer but he just shuts his eyes achingly, shaking his head harshly "No no, I'd probably break the wall and we'd get the whole pack complaining for months if we do" His reasoning makes me pout but he just pushes himself up, our chests now pressing against one another 

"Soon," He leaves a long kiss on my lips "I promise" I just roll my eyes dramatically but he lands another echoing smack on my "Ouch!" This time, I yelp in pain but he seems to enjoy it since he's sporting a diabolical smirk on his lips

"Seems like I'm not the only one who's going into heat"

As a few days flies past us, Baekhyun and I seem to be bonding immensely which would have been odd if you asked me to months ago. I learned he had an older brother who was just a couple of years older than him and was the Alpha for his own pack back in Baekhyun's hometown. He simply didn't want to join his brothers pack because he had made a promise to Junmyeon after he saved Baekhyun from an ogre attack as kids. I guess that explained the loyalty between the pack, their timelines of friendship was much longer than I initially thought. 

He further admitted to me that his ex-girlfriend of three years dumped him heartlessly after finding her mate and he hasn't dated since I came along.

 "But are we really dating? I thought we were way past that" I tell him, my legs supporting his head as a pillow but he shrugs. His body laying flat on the grass below us as the flowers sway in the wind

"What does it matter? We're together." He states, his eyes innocent and sincere which causes my heart to blossom with affection "You're mine forever" He reaches up to my cheek and if it wasn't for the annoying birds chirping around us, I would have gotten lost in the vastness of his words 

"You're right" I smile, nuzzling into his warmth which causes him to beam back at me. He pulls away and turns his attention to the moving clouds above us. They travel slowly across the sky, touching places where we can only dream. 

I watched with him for a moment before blurting out "Do you think we would have found each other if I didn't drink your blood?" I ask curiously and he ponders for a second before answering honestly "I don't know but it seems like the fates were planning on it. We're so different but so alike at the same time, not in a million years did I think I would have a witch as my mate but I still wouldn't ask for anyone else" 

"Sure, Yubin and the other mates are wonderful girls but you," His gaze meets mine once again, the sappy version of him just pouring out in front of me "You are so striking."

Silence follows as we just stare at one another, our emotions all over the place 

"I hate you" I randomly exclaim and he lets out a shocked sound, taken aback at my ridiculous claim "I hate you for making me feel like a highschool girl in love" I prop myself back on my hands and tilt my head back

"My mom would die knowing that I'm actually enjoying it here. With you." Baekhyun giggles at my tough words, fully aware that it's my way of showing affection "Why don't you call her to visit'' My head snaps down to him and he nods, already deciding but I shake my head in protest "I can't Baekhyun! The embarrassment!" I cry but he flicks my forehead 

"Bull. What's embarrassing? You don't want me to meet my beautiful mate's parents?" 

"Ugh," I groan, my neck rolling out of annoyance "Fine I'll call her but I don't know how the pack will feel about it" Mainly focused only on one person and Baekhyun hums, already aware of who I'm speaking about 

"Maybe it's time to talk things over," He requests while getting up "Without trying to tear each other's throats out." I huff as he places a hand out for me and I take it reluctantly, brushing the grass off my bottom after standing 

"Okay but you better be there" I grumpily stomp towards the house as he skips happily

"So..." I start, uncomfortably shifting in my seat on the fluffy couch as Jongin sits across from Baekhyun and I, blankly, may I add. 

I don't say anything after which makes Baekhyun bump his shoulder into mine while giving me a 'you better do it' look while pointing his chin towards Jongin. I roll my eyes before taking a deep breath "I'm sorry Jongin" I mumble "I was inconsiderate of how you felt and how you still feel towards Jieun and I. It wasn't my intention to make it worse" I actually mean what I say as he stares intensely at my bowed head 

"It's okay." The simple words shocking us as it rings through my ears but his dull eyes are focused as he continues

"I replayed the same night in my head over and over again thinking about what I could have done different but that didn't make the outcome less real" His confession sad and discouraged

"We were ambushed Jongin. We all wish we could have saved Areum, it's not your fault so don't take the blame" Baekhyun sternly tells him and he nods flatly 

"I know hyung. I don't blame anyone anymore. Jieun was just blindly following orders. At first I thought she was rubbing it in my face every time I saw her running around in the yard and acting as if she was a kid but it took me a while to finally realize
