"Are you sure you're a witch?" Jieun annoyingly blocks my view of the reality TV show I was intensely concentrating on

"Yes I'm sure Jieun!" I push her head away with my hand "Now move! Erik is going to break up with Victora! Finally" I drag and she whines, planting herself on the small space between the edge of the couch and my body 

"B-but you never use your powers around me!" She stomps her feet like the child she is and I sigh knowing that she will not shut up if I don't prove it to her so I grab the remote and pause the show with all my might

"You really wanna see some magic?" I look at her seriously and she nods excitedly

"Fine." 

"YAY!" Her shriek filling every corner of the home at my answer and I cover my ears while glaring at her but she just gives me the biggest smile I've ever seen the past week I've known her. 

Simply improvising, I grab my bow and arrow to use as props while mumbling some not so nice words but she continues to hum happily behind me as we make our way outside. 

"I can hear you" She sings with a big smile on her face and I roll my eyes 

"Just sit down" I grumble once the front door closes shut and we are both out the house. She does as I say and obediently takes a seat on the first step of the small porch

Knowing my emotions are a little on edge because my show had to be paused for a unimportant reason, I created some space between Jieun and I. 

"If you want magic, fine. I'll give you magic" I grouchily say to myself but when I turn around to face Jieun, she is standing upright and stunned as if she was struck by lightning

"Jieun-" I follow her line of sight and that's when I see him. 

A light grey lone wolf just a little past where my open land ends and the dense woods begin

He is big and angry with his glare pierced right on Jieun who gasps loudly from where she is but I don't even flinch at the sight of him 

"You need to leave" I tell him, the happiness that once was swarming the air was gone now that Jieun was petrified

He averts his eyes to me and growls back in anger and I simply take that as a 'no' 

"Jieun," Without saying a word to her, I call out her name and she snaps her head at me with shock when she doesn't see my mouth move an inch. I ignore any other thoughts as  I don't stop glaring at the snarling wolf "Do you remember the lake I took you to a couple days ago? The one past the big tree?" She nods her head silently, all curiosity blowing past us as she watches me hastily line up an arrow within my fingertips

"I want you to run there and hide with the nymphs who live in the lake until I come and get you." I can sense her hesitation but there's no time to waste because he looks like he's losing his patience "They won't hurt you." I look at her quickly 

"I promise." I say out loud and that's when she takes off, running towards the lake far behind us. 

The wolf howls loudly at the disappearance of the little girl and goes back to snarling knowing that the only thing between him and her was me. 

"I'm giving you to the count of ten before I kill you" I state but he doesn't move an inch 

"One" I fix my stance gracefully, implanting my feet into the ground below us 

"Two" Without any hesitation, I align the bow with my body

"Three" With soft hands, I grab the fletching and the bow string together 

"Four" I pullback with small strength 

"Five" My count gets halfway and I lock onto my victim with dead eyes 

"Six" A small sound leaves my lips but the wolf doesn't back down, in fact he is waiting for it 

"Seven" His stance now higher and his teeth more prominent, showing off his deadly bite that would easily tear me into pieces

"Eight" Just counting off the extra time now, I stare straight into the creatures eyes that are glowing a light brown and my breath catches

"Nine" I try to hold myself together, getting ready to let go 

"Ten" I finish counting, just halting a millisecond when a low voice echos through the woods 
 

"Wait!"
 

But the arrow was already lodged into his side.

"What the hell!" An unknown male yells, running up to the hurt wolf who is now whimpering in pain and rapidly wheezing 

A whole pack then appears behind him, huddling over one another at the scene  

"I said to wait!" His glare shoots up to me and roll my eyes 

"I told him that I'd count to ten before I'd shoot him and well- I got to ten"I tell him emotionlessly as my eyes scan over their faces 

There are three females and seven males, including the bleeding sack of warmth on the ground 

"Are you crazy?! I'll rip your head right off-" One girl screams, stepping up and my eyes darken at the sudden threat

And in a matter of very, very short seconds, I pull out another arrow, already aimed right between her eyes 

She gasps and everyone freezes on the spot 

"You're lucky I heard you and aimed for his side instead of his head" Without an hint of sorrow, I spit out my words like venom "But you might not be so lucky if you continue to press my buttons" 

I am still protectively standing, ready for their next move but thankfully for them, at least one person uses the brain cell they have left 

"We're sorry for trespassing miss," He has dark hair and has soft features "I know we didn't meet on the best of terms but I would deeply appreciate it if you helped us" His smile a bit cheesy 

There it was. My feelings being thrown out the window as I grumble under my breath to myself 

"And why should I do that?" My words filled with disgust 

"Because you caused it you ignorant bi-" The man who was yelling at me previously says and I change my aim towards him but he doesn't back down.

In fact he takes a step closer and my mind goes into overdrive feeling an emotion I've never encountered before 

"You are going to help us" He demands and I just watch him pad closer to me with a pounding heart as his handsome face comes into view

"Baekhyun"

The smart man calls out to the steaming male and I take his big figure in. 

He has light brown hair contrasting well with his light soft skin tone, his brown sparkling eyes on fire as he glared at me, flashing an icy blue just for the shortest second. He has beautiful pink lips that causes my breath to get caught in my throat. His arms are defined with muscles and I shamelessly my lips when they flex under his white shirt. 

Quickly, I try to gather myself as if I wasn't openly staring at him 

"I'll help your friend only if you do something for me" I mumble, lowering my weapon knowing they weren't going to hurt me if they needed me 

"Deal," The tall male in front of me says without hesitation "But first, you help our friend" 

My eyes light up at the agreement 

"Bring him inside" I more than willingly say, turning around to make my way towards the home. 

A whole pack of wolves following behind me

"Stop moving" I snap at the hurt male who is squirming in pain at my touch

Within seconds of entering my home, he had turned from a big hairy wolf to a attractive looking man but that didn't distract me from doing what I needed to do. 

Everyone watched as I quietly pulled out the all too familiar arrow causing him to scream out in agony and thankfully, there were two guys holding him down 

"It doesn't even hurt that much you big baby" I tell him with a small smile on my lips as I clean the wound lightly

"You try saying that while bleeding to death" He grunts with clenched teeth and I chuckle "You're going to be fine. Now will you just stop moving" He groans at my words but still nods with his lower lip between his teeth as he fully throws his head back onto the pillow

"Jongin are you sure you're okay?" The girl who threatened me earlier peers over my shoulder

"Yeah," He lets out a sigh of relief when I begin to wrap his wound "I am now" He mumbles and I roll my eyes at him

"Just try to keep the bandages on until you fully heal, which I think should be in a few days since the arrow was made out of iron-" 

"Iron?!" The pack all says in union behind me and I stand on my feet calmly, twirling to look at their gawking faces

"Yes" I confirm, nodding my head confirming it as if it was the normallest thing "Iron. If you didn't notice, my arrows aren't for injuring, they're for killing"  They can only stare into my cold eyes but I quickly blink it away 

"Anyways," I clear my throat "I held up my end of the deal. Now it's your turn" I demand like a mafia leader, my eyes set on a certain man

"What is it you want?" Baekhyun, as I remember, grumpily spits at me with his arms crossed over his chest as he sports an annoyed expression

"I need some of your blood"

"What is this for exactly?" Baekhyun asks for the millionth time as I quietly watch the blood flow from his arm into the tube and finally to the small plastic packet. 

He is seated in the dining table, away from all the peeking eyes since they're a little too nosy for my taste. I imagine them to be exactly like how Baekhyun is right now and I just didn't want to deal with that

"Like I said before, it's none of your business" Just like my personality, my tongue is sharp and quick 

He doesn't reply to that and we just sit in silence as the packet takes it's sweet time to fill up. 

However when he does decide to open his mouth, I almost choke 

"What are you?"

I'm coughing as my gaze flickers up to meet his own 

He has a pair of eagle eyes trained on me and I gulp silently. 

"What do you think I am?" I counter back but he scoffs, his arm slightly flexing under my touch when I extract the needle before placing a small bandaid on the small circle of blood 

"You sure act like a hunter but something tells me other wise" His tone is soft and quiet now but his expression unchanging 

"What do you mean?" 

"Your aura" He says "It's different. Not like a typical hunter" 

"Thank you?" I say quietly, zipping up the packet of blood to place it into the fridge with the others, making sure I place it a little to the side to not get it mixed up with Jieun's feedings. 

"Well, we're done now, so our deal is over" I tell him, dodging his interigation as I make my way to back to the dining room and he nods, standing from his seat

"Thanks for helping, I guess" He awkwardly says and I hum lightly

"I mean I was the one to shoot him" I cross my arms as I lean against the wall, not a hint of guilt in my words "But at least I fixed it right?" I contort my face dorkily and he chuckles softly

"Yeah" He agrees "Jongin has been a little out of it lately" The sad tone of his voice reaches my ears 

"Why?" I breathe out, suddenly feeling a wave of nerves wash over me 

"His mate was killed by this little vampire kid just a week ago" He attempts to lower the volume of his voice but I am able to catch it. 

He sighs with a shake of his head, looking down at the floor

"Tore right out like it was nothing. That little girl was ruthless" 

Then as if everything hit me at once, I perked up. 

Jieun.

"Jieun you ready to go now?" I say with my arms crossed as I watch the beautiful blue nymph braid her hair and she turns her head smiling and nodding brightly at me 

"Yes unnie. As soon as Lela finishes" She says a little too grown and I chuckle just seeing her enjoy herself. 

She is sitting close to the water but just far enough to be on the warm sand with the water nymph Lela. Jieun is wriggling her toes as the others giggle in the shallow water just in front of the duo 

"Thanks for keeping an eye on her" I make my way towards the water and take my place next to Jieun and all they do is nod at me with smiles plastered on their faces 

"I'd like to gift this to you all as a token of my gratitude" I bring my hand up and lightly wave them only to create a clearing between some trees on the other side of the small lak
