Circle Media
Scandalous ◇ The Trials of CoterieKim Sungwon
Born 1972. The founder and current CEO of Circle Media. As a former singer himself, Sungwon's motto was to always treat his employees and artists as people first. He's always been personally involved in the training and day to day of his people until recent years where he's had to leave more to his subordiantes. After Burning Sun and Miyeon's departure, he's once again taken the reins to be moe fully vested in his people. He's a kind if sometimes stoic man who takes time to get to know his trainees, so he is very familiar with Coterie. Coterie are his girls and they're rushed debut was his idea.
Nam Yongsun
Born 1974. Don't call her a secretary or personal assistant. Yongsun will make your life hell if you do. After the scandals and Sungwon's return to active work in Circle Media, Yongsun is basically in charge of all logistics and coordinating. She is the one who finalizes a deal. She is the one you have to convince. Sungwon listens to her implicitly and trusts her over everyone else. Good luck to anyone who gets on her bad side. Yongsun is a business woman with a vision, and Coterie did not fit into that vision. Still, she is a professional and as long as the girls keep in line, she will indulge Sungwon on his project. Yongsun is far more human than people give her credit for though, and is still secretly on very good terms with Miyeon and protects her brother while he still works for Circle.
Han Minji
Born in 1995. Once Riot's lead vocal and maknae, Minji has gone on to being an actress and often sings OSTs. She has had one solo release in the past, but has found her momentum in acting and OSTs now. She is known for being quiet but sweet in most times. She has grown a little bitter when her groupmates left Circle and even more when Miyeon left. She tries to remain upbeat and kind, and is especially good at mentoring Coterie in vocals and etiiquette when she can.
Park Woojin
Born in 1996. Omni's manager and former Circle Media trainee.. He used to be respected for his easy going amiable personality that still managed to be responsible and reliable. Woojin is more of an errand boy these days as Yongsun's call since his sister, Miyeon, basically screwed over Circle Media, and people don't let him forget it. He appears far more carefree and happy than his inner anxious child should be letting him.
Ryu Hosung
Born in 1995. Coterie's manager and also the son of Sungwon's sister. In other words: Sungwon's nephew. He's more like Yongsun than Sungwon so the girls are going to have be on their A game if they want to impress him at all. He is mostly being their manager as a favor to his uncle and prefers to stay out of the limelight. Hosung is no nonsense, but is often the of Woojin, Sungwon, and even Yongsun's jokes as they like to and get him riled up.
Park Miyeon
Born in 1992. She was once Circle Media's main cash revenue as Riot's main dancer, rapper, and vocalist. Boys wanted her and girls wanted to be her. y and approachable, talented and full of charisma: Miyeon had it all. But then she decided she was tired of living a lie and when pictures of her kissing her long term boyfriend were released, she decided to come clean. Circle Media were furious with her and tried to take her to courts over her breach of contract. The backlash was so severe that Circle dropped the case and broke her contract. Which is fine for Miyeon snce she now lives in Canada with her man quite happily. She still is close to Yongsun and has a strained relationship with her brother Woojin and former groumate Minji.
Sara Kim
Born in 1997. The young and spunky choreographer and MUA that doubles as impromptu interpreter since she speaks Korean, English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese fairly fluently. She is currently assigned to Coterie on a personal basis by Yongsun. Circle lucked out with her hiring honestly: she's versatile in so much of Coterie's daily activities. She has a YouTube channel as well where she teaches techniques and tutorials.
Choi Gun
Born in 1998. Omni's Leader, main vocal (soft triple threat really), and producer. He was a former JYP trainee and was barely at Circle for a month when Omni was debuted and he made the leader because of his experience and age. He's had a rough time at Circle and despite being leader, is more withdrawn and introspective than the others even if on camera he is really good at being a goofball on command.
Kaiden Woo
Born in 1998. Omni's main dancer and lead vocalist. Kaiden hails from the UK and was a former contestant on Produce 101 season 2, and nearly made the final lineup after ranking 14. He's carefree and energetic and tends to flit to new things easily. He does choreograph sometimes though and takes dance seriously.
Park Ilwoo
Born in 1999. Omni's main rapper vocalist, and song writer. He's voted the quietest member of Omni, though this is not true when they're alone. Intelligent, creative, and helpful to those around him, and oh so easy to pick on since he rarely gets angry for long.
Im Dohyun
Born in 2000. Omni's lead dancer and vocalist. Dohyun is happy and exciteable. He is the group's hypeman for sure, the moodmaker and entertainer in their team who seems to make friends wherever he goes. The running joke is that Dohyun will go to the restroom and somehow come back with a new acquaintence.
Lee Jaeseok
Born in 2000. Omni's lead dancer, rapper, and visual. Jaeseok is just oozing charisma and confidence. When he walks in a room, he knows he's probably the prettiest thing there. He's not ashamed of this at all. He gets quite a bit of attention and it won't surprise anyone if and when he gets MC roles or even drama cameos.
Seo Sihoo
Born in 2021. Omni's lead vocalist and maknae. Troublemaker. That's what Sihoo is. He's gotten into trouble more than once with the higher ups at Circle. But the fans love him and his no s given attitude so what can you do, right?
Other Notable Names:
Lee Sungmin: The former VP of Circle Media who was caught and outed for his involvement in the Produce scandal. He tried to bribe a win for one of their trainees in P48 after Kaiden did so well in Produce 101 season 2 He has since been fired and is facing legal action.
Park Ilsung: A former soloist at Circle Media who was part of the Burning Sun scandal and was caught sharing illicit pictures of underage girls. His contract has been terminated and he is currently awaiting judgement for his crimes.
Jung Soonah and Song Haein: Former members of Riot who left Circle 2 years ago when their contracts came up. Both have left idol life with Soonah performing in musicals and Haein running a cafe.
