Friends [Japanese Alternative]

Description

For Marie, Suzu, Mitsuki, and Rola, it’s hard to be longtime friends when they have contrasting personalities, clashing viewpoints, and disagreeable attitudes, but they make it possible because they are more than friends.

They are family.

But their relationship comes to a breaking point when something they’ve joked about and vowed to never allow to tear their relationship apart shakes their world. It tests their trust among each other.

It tests their love for one another.

It tests their truths to themselves.

But more so than anything, it tests the values of their friendship.

Foreword

PLEASE READ:

Yes, this is the Japanese setting alternative to the Korean setting, which can be found here.

My all-time favorite Japanese ship is Ryosuke Yamada and Mirai Shida, but she’s married, so they’re a sunken ship now. Also, it’s very hard for me to like an actor or actress that much, and she was very much a highly-accepted, professional, and experienced actress on my list (she acted as a pregnant pre-teen in the drama, 14-sai no Haha, when she was 13/14! I remember an interview about how she struggled to portray a realistic pregnancy and birthing, and I was amazed at her work ethic).

Although that ship’s sunken, I’ve yet to find another Japanese ship to get onto because Japanese dramas aren’t heavily romantic, so it’s hard to feel and catch the sizzling, romantic chemistry of a pair on-screen.

That’s why I had to just pair up a random pair with actresses and actors I love.

But if she’s the only one who’s married, why not continue to use Ryosuke and another girl? My sad answer—he’s the only person I want to write with Mirai and vice versa. T_T

So, after some quick research, I found a Japanese ship featuring Taishi Nakagawa and Marie Iitoyo. Their budding romance fame came from starring in the film, Kyou no Kira-kun (I haven’t seen it nor read the manga, BUT I did see a wonderfully made FMV of them from the movie, and I was mesmerized. Unfortunately, the MV can’t be found on YT anymore).

I hope you don’t and won’t mind this pairing and will anticipate this new pair as much as I will. =)

Until then, “read” you soon,

Mstyper

Mstyper here with a new story! If you're a previous subscriber/reader, thanks for sticking with me on this new story. If you're a new subscriber or reader, thanks for trying out my kind of writing. I am NOT the best author compared to others, but I can promise that I will write with the best of my abilities.

Yes, I know the title for this story is not my best because it is simple and bland, but I have a good reason. I was actually writing this story without an official title until the fourteenth chapter. By then, I had a better perspective and understanding of where I was going to go with this story and whatnot, and my instincts really wanted me to use friends as a title. I did not like it at the time, but I knew it was the perfect name for this story and its content. So for the typies who like to read stories where the title is relatable or relative to the plot (because I am one of those kinds of reader), I hope that the later chapters of this story will be able to do that.

Thank You.

Notes:

The bolding's for personal use.

An [*] means a change into a different scene.

When a sentence is italicized and is NOT in quotes, it is the person's thoughts.

Any character's name colored in RED means that person is fictional. It will only be bolded once.

When a FEW WORDS are italicized, whether in quotes or in narrative text, it's an emphasis on the word.
