Taeyeon pauses for a moment,

 

(I was about to call you earlier just right when I finished an assignment, but then I looked up Joy’s stories and seems like you guys are having fun so I thought I’d wait for you)

 

Irene’s smile grew wider, she questions herself whether she only has crush on Taeyeon or she just.. really likes her.

 

(So.. are we still up for tomorrow?) Taeyeon continues when she heard no reply from Irene.

 

(A-ah y-yes unnie, of course.)

 

(That’s good then, do you want to have a dinner after? I mean, it’s okay If you don’t want to.)

 

(I would love to unnie! What should we have then?)

 

(Great! Well, do you have anything in mind?)

 

(I’m in the mood for seafood to be honest. Wendy’s been nagging me to eat seafood.)

 

(Sounds great! How about we have a dinner at that seafood restaurant I forget what it’s called, Héarth Resto?)

 

(That’s the restaurant that Wendy’s been mentioning lately unnie, she said the food there is really good.)

 

(Alright, it’s settled then!)

 

(What time should we go unnie?)

 

(How about I’ll pick you up at one? It takes probably an hour to get to the bookstore, then it’ll take another one and a half hours to get to the restaurant, we can watch the sunset after dinner. How’s that?)

 

(I love it! Can’t wait unnie, I love sunset)

 

(Kkk bet you are, I looked up through your feeds. I’m curious, why is it so quiet there? I thought you’re at Joe’s?)

 

(Ah, I walked to a more quiet space unnie, I can’t hear you clearly there.)

 

(I see. Well, I guess I’ll see you tomorrow then? Your friends probably wondering why you left your seat for too long)

 

(No it’s okay unnie, I had enough anyway. And I was going leave to early though, they are still having fun so I’ll call for a cab.)

 

(You didn’t bring a car?)

 

(No, Wendy drove us. She was supposed to drive me back but I’ll just take a cab.)

 

(It’s already past ten, do you want me to pick you up?)

 

(No! no unnie, it’s alright. It’s not that dark, beside it’s only fifteen minutes away. I’ll be fine.)

 

(I’ll come pick you up. You wait there, okay?)

 

(Unnie.. it’s alright unnie..)

(I insist. I’ll be there in ten minutes and guess what? You’ll be the first one who ride my car kkk)

 

Irene chuckles and smiles. She knows a fact that she really likes her senior and It reflects from how her cheeks are turning red at the moment.

 

(Alright unnie, I’ll be waiting then. Sorry for the trouble..)

 

(It’s not a trouble at all! I’ll text you when I’m near.)

 

(Okay.)

 

Irene walks back to her friends then she packs her bag and fixes her hair.

 

“Where you going?” Wendy asks, looking confused. “I’m gonna head back guys, I don’t feel like drinking too much tonight.” 

 

“I’ll drive you back then, wait here.” Wendy was about to stand up and go to the rest room before Irene held her back.

 

“Taeyeon-unnie is on her way to pick me up…” Irene whispers very quietly making sure no one can hear,

 

“Who?”

 

“Kim Taeyeon.” Irene answers again, quietly.

 

“WHAT? WHY?” her best friend shouts then looks around through the glass window, succeeded to make everyone in the room turned their gaze to both of them.

 

“Yah! Ssh!”

 

“It’s alright guys. Go back to your business.” Wendy answers then drags her best friend away from the group while Joy’s too drunk to even talk.

 

“I was about to call a cab then she insisted, said it’s too dark and dangerous outside.”

 

“oF CoUrse it is dangerous. Alright then, since I like her, I trust her with you.”

 

“You like her!?”

 

“Not in that way! Geez!”

 

“Thank God. Go back then, I’ll wait here.”

 

“I’ll wait with you.” 

 

They decided to talk about how Irene and Taeyeon will go to the restaurant that Wendy has been talking about, Irene asks her for their menu recommendations for the next eight minutes until a figure with her long dark grey coat and a mid-length hair girl approach them.

 

“Irene-ah.” It was the first time Taeyeon dropped the honifirics. Which surprising the two best friends.

 

“Unnie.” Irene stands up followed by Wendy, they bow and replied by Taeyeon’s bow.

 

“Hello, Wendy-ssi. I hope you don’t mind that I drive your best friend back home.”

 

“It is totally fine unnie! I trust you, promise us that you’ll make sure she gets home safely.”

 

“I will, I promise.” Taeyeon only smiles and chuckles as she opens up her paper bag then gives Irene a black scarf, “I brought you this, it’s cold outside.” It took her for three seconds to take the scarf and wraps around her neck. 

 

“Alright, let’s go then. Lead the way.” Taeyeon then invites Irene to walk first then they bid their goodbye to Wendy.

 

“Yah! Was that Kim Taeyeon? She looks like her.” Jennie couldn’t help but to ask when Wendy reached her seat.

 

“It was indeed Kim Taeyeon.”

 

“She’s driving Joohyun back?” Jennie continues, Wendy nods as she takes another sip from her glass,

 

“So she is the one? That you guys were talking about when we had that Kimchi Guksu?” Seulgi asks, her eyes are rounded.

 

“Yeah. But don’t tell her it’s from me! Let’s just keep this between us!”

 

“Yaaah Daebak! Can you imagine the power this couple has if they are a ‘thing’?” Rosé joins the party and Joy just sleeps there, her head right on the table. She’ll go nuts tomorrow morning for missing out about her best friend and her crush tonight.

 

“Everyone will definitely go crazy about this. Guys in our faculty alone always asking me Joohyun’s number.” 

 

“Even one of our alumni came to me the other day just to get her number.”

 

“You didn’t give them the number right?”

 

“Of course not. I acted stupid said I lost my phone that day. Kkk”

“You’re right unnie, why is it so cold tonight?” Irene says as they walk out to the open parking lot, silk black scarf tied under her chin, she puts her hands inside her coat pocket.

 

“I heard it’s going to be rainy tomorrow, maybe that’s why.” 

 

“Be my guest.” Taeyeon opens the left door to let Irene in and the latter gives her smile “Thank you.” Then she rushes to her door.

 

“I like your car unnie.” Taeyeon chuckles then she fixes Irene’s scarf that tied loosely. “You have to tide it tightly, so you won’t feel cold.” 

 

“Unnie! Please give me a warning first before you get closer!” Irene says half shouting, making the other girl look surprised. “Ah I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to.. I thou-“ 

 

“It’s not that! My cheeks are getting redder, I’m embarrassed unnie..” Irene cuts her as she tucks her cheeks under her scarf. 

 

Taeyeon only chuckles, “Alright then, I’ll tell you first next time.” Irene nods, she believes It’ll be better since she can’t hide her feelings most of the time once they she gets closer to someone.

 

Seoul city weather tonight looks set to be the coldest of this week. Taeyeon's car cuts through this quiet city, the street lights are still bright and not many vehicles are passing by, public transportation has finished operating. 

 

For a moment, neither of them speaks. Taeyeon steals a quick glance at her right side, noticing how the figure beside her smiling while looking at the window in front of her,

 

Taeyeon coughs a little, “You’re smiling.”

 

“I am.” Irene replies then she smiles at her.

 

“May I know why?”

 

“It’s been too long since someone other than my best friends, driving me home. It’s just.. it feels nice. Thank you unnie.” Irene replies followed by Taeyeon’s chuckle.

 

“You’re welcome. When was the last time?”

 

“I can’t remember, I guess.. a year ago? It was with my ex.”

 

“I see..” Taeyeon was about to ask her questions but too hesitate to even look at her, so she remains her silence.

 

Irene couldn’t help but to notice the tense, “You can ask me Unnie, it’s alright.” 

 

The brunette shakes her head, “No need too. You can tell me whenever you’re ready.” 

 

“It was two years with him, with Kim Taehyung.” 

 

“Why did you guys break up?”

 

“Like the last time I told you unnie. He was just a basically being a jerk. Everyone knows that.”

 

Taeyeon only nods, she was just curious and didn’t mean to pry. “How about you unnie?”

 

And right on cue, the screen of Taeyeon’s phone lights up to notify her of another incoming call.

 

Irene looks at the phone by reflex—before she could take it and turn the screen away—and has apparently noticed the F letter in the contact name.

 

“Aren’t you going to answer unnie?” Taeyeon shakes her head, “It’s just Fany, she’s probably calling cause she’s dealing with some kind of difficult case for our next exam. “It can wait.” Taeyeon continues. 

 

“You probably should send her a text unnie, don’t want to make her wait too long..”

 

She only nods and she types, “I’ll call later, I’m driving.”

 

The message is read almost immediately and the screen once again displays an incoming voice call.

 

Irene chuckles, “Unnie you should answer her call, maybe she’s worried.” 

 

Taeyeon finally gives up. “Hey,” she says unenthusiastically.

 

“Yah Kim Taeyeon! Why are you driving late at night!?” the reply came out too loud even Irene can hear it clearly.

 

“I’m driving Irene home, what is it Fany?”

 

“What!? This late!?”

 

“It’s not that late, beside it’s only twenty minutes away. What is it? Make It quick.”

 

“Nothing! I was just bored.”

 

“Alright bye.”

“Wait!”

 

“Seriously, you know how dangerous it is calling while driving.” Taeyeon decided it to put it on the speaker because there’s no way Tiffany is going to end the call soon.

 

“Can I call you later? Text me when you get to the dorm.” 

 

Taeyeon takes a glance at her right side to find Irene furrows her eyebrows a little, “I don’t know. I think I’m gonna head back a little bit late.”

 

“That’s okay, I’ll wait for you.”

 

“Aright, I’ll see what I can do.” Irene turns her gaze away out the window beside her, she just couldn’t handle the disappointment and she didn’t want to hear the conversation.

 

“Yay! Alright, call you later Taetae.”

 

For five seconds neither of them speaks, “What was it that you were asking me?” Taeyeon suddenly remembers their last conversation.

 

“Ah right. You probably already heard. Tiffany that you saw the other day and was calling seconds ago.. she is my ex.” There was a brief moment of doubt when she tells Irene the fact that she was dating a girl but chose to finish her statement.

 

Irene didn’t even flinch. “Why did you break up unnie? She seems.. nice and caring.”

 

Taeyeon takes a deep breath, “I was always very clear about what I wanted, and… she wasn’t.” 

 

“and.. that’s it.” she mumbles, shaking her head after letting everything sink in for a moment. Irene noticed that Taeyeon’s voice was a little bit trembling, 

 

“We can talk about anything else unnie.”

 

Taeyeon smiles, feeling grateful of Irene for being considerate towards her.

 

“It’s alright. It’s all in the past. It hurts less each day.” Taeyeon pauses for a moment, “And she’s still my best friend.” She continues as she glances at the girl beside her.

 

“I was a little bit surprised you didn’t even flinch.”

 

“Why would I unnie?”

 

“Well, I guess it might sounds a lot less shocking if my ex was a cute or jerk guy instead of Tiffany. And that would make me a lot less weird.”

 

Irene only chuckle, “You’re not weird, for one.” Irene pauses,

 

“And it wasn’t shocking at all unnie. I had a big crush on this girl in middle school. I basically fell in love with her, I even gave her a love letter kkkk.”

 

“Really!? What did you write?” 

 

Irene feels much better and at ease to hear Taeyeon’s excitement, 

 

“I told her how pretty her ribbon was and how her earrings were so cute that I wanted to steal those.”

 

Taeyeon laughs hearing the confession, “That’s not a love letter Irene-ah!” 

 

“That’s not..? ! I didn’t know how to write a love letter at that time! My best friend even helped me unnie.” Irene pouts as she looks over the older girl, Taeyeon only shakes her head still laughing, “Did she reply your letter?”

 

“She did.”

 

“What did she say?”

 

“She said that I was pretty and she liked my hair, she also mentioned how she beautiful my eyes were.”

 

“Now.. that is one love letter.” Taeyeon stops laughing, feeling relieved after their talk.

 

“No wonder Umma laughed at me when I told her about it turns out It wasn’t a love letter..”

 

“Kkk it’s alright. Now that you’re all grown up, you don’t have to send love letters if you like someone.” Irene laughs a little, “You’re right unnie, I’m just gonna tell them straight to their face.”

 

They spent another minute talking about school and stuff, not to mention they also decided to wear a dress code for tomorrow, a casual yet comfortable clothes with dark color on top. They just thought their pictures will give great aesthetic pleasure since they definitely will take a picture to mark their first encounter outside school together. 

 

They also talked how they like beaches and how they always find the sunset, migratory birds, white and smooth sand, low and high waves and endlessness in the direction forward and sometimes scores of stalls fascinating.

 

Turns out they also share similar hobbies and activities. Both of the girls enjoy their weekend hanging out in their rooms, watching movies, listening to music, even iron clothes -even though Irene already has her maid, she just enjoys It a little bit too much, or just relieving the stress that they have thanks to their packed schedule with a good quality sleep without interruption and the need to wake up early.

 

“Alright, here we are.” The brunette gradually slowing the pace as they soon reach Irene’s front door.

 

“Thank you so much unnie. I am so sorry for the trouble.” Irene replies as she takes off her seatbelt, 

 

“Your welcome and you’re not a trouble at all. Let’s go, let me walk you to the door.” 

 

“No it’s okay Unnie, it’s cold.”

 

“Are you sure?” 

 

“Of course! Text me when you get to the dorm unnie, so I know you’re safe.” Taeyeon’s smile grew wider, secretly being grateful of the attention given from Irene.

“Alright then. See you, have a good rest Irene-ah.” Irene only smiles, again with the fluttering feeling whenever Taeyeon calls her name casually.

 

Irene walks out the door and close it softly, “Bye unnie!” Taeyeon replies with a wave, she then walks to the door carefully, noticing that Taeyeon’s eyes still on her as she makes her way to the door. She bid her last goodbye to the brunette from her door, wondering why Taeyeon’s car doesn’t move a bit. 

 

After she gets into her living room, she takes a quick glance at her window to find Taeyeon’s car finally move and disappears into thin air. She realized that Taeyeon was watching over her shoulder from the moment she walks out of the car until she gets home safely. 

 

Irene let out a small chuckle feeling happy and finds herself smiling as she walks to her room, drops her bag to the floor and pick up her towel and get ready for bed.

 

Fifteen minutes later she got out of the bathroom then she throws herself onto the bed to find her phone lights up to notify her of an incoming text.

 

“I’m safely arrived to the dorm, have a good rest Irene-ah :)”

 

She can’t stop smiling, she just can’t. 

 

She types, “Good night unnie :)”

 

She spent another ten minutes just looking at the ceiling until she drifted off to sleep.

She wakes up with a groan after her phone rang for the ninth times. She answers the call half conscious, “You didn’t have to wake me up this early Fany-ah.” she mumbles, eyes still closed.

 

“Let’s hunt some discounts! I heard B&Beyond offers a great deal.”

 

“I can’t.”

 

“Why? We don’t have any classes today.”

 

Taeyeon yawns, eyes searching for a clock to check. “I’m going to go the Attic today.” Taeyeon answers as she walks to get her towel lazily.

 

“Why? Did you lose something?”

 

Taeyeon fills up her glass with some water, “Not me, Irene.” 

 

“I’m going to drive her to get her lost book. It’s a rare book.” Taeyeon continues then finish her water.

 

“Are you her driver or what? Isn’t she rich? Why is she asking you to always drive her?”

 

“First, I’m not her driver. Second, she’s not asking me, I offered.”

 

“Well, how nice of you to offer such generous actions. Even drove her to home late at night.” Says Tiffany in a slight irritation.

 

“What is it with you and Irene?” Taeyeon couldn’t help but to ask, she knows it’s going to be out of her hand if this keeps happening, she doesn’t want to yell at her ex slash best friend. Not when she tries to enjoy every little moment that she can cherish, she had enough with her past haunting her with heartache, sorrows, distress, even guilt.

 

“Nothing. I just can’t get why you seem so close with her lately. You guys barely know each other.”

 

“You don’t know what you’re talking about and I can’t see why I shouldn’t be close with her. She’s nice, kind, caring, friendly, she’s fun to talk to, she’s genuine.”

 

“Do you like her?”

 

“Fany-ah, it’s still 7 in the morning and I don’t want to pick a fight with you.”

“Answer me.”

 

“No, I don’t.”

 

“Why? Like you said, she’s pretty, kind, she’s friendly, she’s car-“

 

“Enough. Okay? I don’t like her. I’m not going to say I’m not going to like her in the future. But let’s just, take this as adults.”

 

“So.. you ‘will’ like her someday.”

 

Taeyeon takes a deep breath, “Maybe I will.” She answers without a doubt.

 

It’s Tiffany’s turn to let out a heavy sigh, “I’m sorry. I was too noisy.”

 

“It’s okay. It’s not your first time.”

 

“Yah!”

 

Taeyeon chuckles, “Alright, I’ll call you later. I’m going to wash up.”

 

“Send her my greetings? Just say Hi.”

 

“I will.” Taeyeon hung up the phone then decided to make breakfast first before taking a shower cause it’s a lazy day and she’s too lazy to brush her teeth twice.

Irene fixes her hair for one last time in front of the standing mirror. She looks at herself, just to find the fact that she’s smiling nervously. Today is not a date, obviously. Taeyeon just happens to be one of the kindest and friendly senior that offered her some help. But she just couldn’t help but to think about their dinner after, the idea of watching sunset together with Taeyeon is like she’s about to have a date. And she’s excited about it, very. 

 

She puts the last touch on her lips, thickening her lip-tint. Then she rubs her pants on her hips noticing a stain of powder on her shorts. She wears a simple black shirt with Guns N’ Roses logo printed on it, not that she even listens to the band’s songs, don’t ask, she can’t even remember who gave her the shirt, and also a black denim shorts that revealing her legs. 

 

She then takes the soft pink bandana that matches her shirt and puts it over her hair. Perfect. She then grabs her sling bag and goes downstairs and finds Taeyeon already leaning on her door while looking at her phone.

 

Taeyeon wears a dark gray t-shirt with long denim pants and a pair of white sneakers with a black cap and ‘sinners’ logo printed on it. 

 

If only Joy was here, she’d just shout that they pretty much look like a couple at this moment without a doubt.

 

“Unnie.” 

 

It goes quiet for a good three seconds as Taeyeon looks up to find the voice’s source, Taeyeon tries to suppress herself to compliment the younger girl, but what’s coming out of was “You look so pretty.” She just can’t help it. Not when Irene standing there with her casual look yet still look chic and gorgeous that she is.

 

“Thank you. I can say the same thing to you unnie.” Irene replies, looking down as she’s trying to hide her flustered cheeks followed by Taeyeon’s little chuckle.

 

“So how was last night? Did you sleep late unnie?” Irene asks while struggling buckling up herself.

 

“As soon I got home, I immediately took a shower then went to bed.”

 

Irene furrows her eyebrows “Didn’t Tiffany unnie asked you to call her?” There’s a pause before the girl continues, “I mean.. she asked you to. On the phone, last night?” Irene cursed herself under her breath, why would she asks Taeyeon about it? 

 

“Now that you mention it, I totally forgot.” Taeyeon’s eye meet the girl then turning her sight to the driveway. 

 

“No wonder she called me very early this morning.” Taeyeon continues, “Anyway, how’s your preparation before the exam?”

 

“I have studied for it the whole week, I hope I can do well.” Irene bites her lip then turn her gaze away, hoping the brunette won’t notice her.

 

“Hey, what’s wrong?” Taeyeon asks after hearing Irene’s trembling voice. Exam always scares her, it makes her anxious and sometimes she also can experience extreme distress.

 

“It’s nothing unnie.” Taeyeon sensing the tension from the latter she keeps her silence for three seconds, “You’ve studied, now let’s just get some fresh air shall we?” She asks, followed by Irene’s nod with a smile on her face.

 

They spent another twenty minutes talking about college, friends, their plan for their career and what they want to achieve, how Irene planned to be an intern at her Appa’s law firm, joking around how Taeyeon will spend her clinical years back again from an oldest senior at college to the most bottom of the food chain in a hospital. 

 

After feeling satisfied with their talk, Taeyeon noticed how sleepy Irene was because Irene woke up at three am and she couldn’t go back to sleep so she lets Irene slept for another thirty minutes before they reached the bookstore.

 

Taeyeon parks her car, she then notices how packed the parking area and forgetting the fact that it’s the week where SNU students release their stress before exam week coming up, they often go to malls, cafe, beaches, some will study and others will just enjoy their last day before preparing for their exam.

 

The brunette stares blankly, smiling when she sees Irene is sleeping peacefully beside her. Once again she enjoys Irene’s companion, even though she has been sleeping for the past half an hour, she likes it. Taeyeon likes the fact that they got closer, close enough to tell each other’s dreams, hopes and plans for their career. But Taeyeon also notice how the girl will become quiet when it comes to school performance, exams. Taeyeon is aware of how low the girl’s self-esteem. Also how Irene said she will never take the screening test for any olympiad related to her studies even though some of her professors suggested her to at least try.

 

There were lots of doubts heard and how Irene's voice drastically changed from cheerful tone to very low volume and hesitant tone. But Taeyeon kept her silence and didn’t ask any further, she believes Irene will tell her when she’s ready.

 

After five minutes only staring at the girl beside her, Irene stirred. She tries to open her eyes slowly, adjusting her vision to the sunlight shining on her.

 

She the finds the brunette smiling at her, “Unnie.. why didn’t you wake me up?” Taeyeon only chuckle, “You seemed tired, so I thought I’d wait a little bit longer.”

 

“You waited? For how long?” Irene let out a sigh, “I’m sorry unnie..”

 

“It’s alright, it’s only been five minutes.” Taeyeon reaches the younger girl’s back then rubs it soothingly, “Now let’s go, we haven’t had lunch.” Taeyeon continues then she fixes her cap while Irene unbuckle her seatbelt then fixes her hair.

 

They walks out of the car, making their way to the bookstore side by side. Taeyeon then opens the door for her and follows her after.

 

Taeyeon was right, the bookstore is indeed pretty crowded today, she can even notice some of her classmates and her juniors are there, reading, talking while having a coffee since the bookstore has its own cafe.

 

Taeyeon secretly hoping that her cap will help her to be unknown and can completely hide her identity. 

 

“I didn’t think it will be this crowded unnie.”

 

“Yeah, me too. Let’s just hurry and get your book so we can get outta here.”

 

Irene nods as they walk to the law section, “I already asked, it’s in the second shelf.”

 

“Unnie do you also want to find a book?”

 

“I guess so, I kinda need to find an urology book.”

 

“You can go unnie, it’ll save us time.”

 

“Do you think so?” Irene nods then gives her smile, giving a shoo sign to her senior while Taeyeon only reply with a chuckle.

 

Taeyeon walks to the medicine section then looking around for the book, minutes later she still can’t find the book so she walks a little bit further to the bookshelf around corner near the open-glass cafe,

 

“Annyeonghaseyo, Taeyeon-sunbaenim.”

The voice makes her jerk in surprise and she turns around to see familiar figures give her a slight bow, “Oh? Anyeonghaseyo.” She replies with a smile.

 

“What are you doing here, sunbaenim?”

 

“Ah I’m looking for smith’s urology.”

 

“They run out of stock sunbaenim, my friend was looking for it yesterday.” One of the three girls answers,

 

“I see.. well what are you guys doing here? Hanging out? Or studying?”

 

“We’re studying, but like, more talking, chatting, playing and less studying.” said the tallest one making four of then laughing,

 

“No worries, I’m sure you have studied a lot, you guys need this.” The three juniors nod, agreeing with their senior’s statement.

 

“Anyway where’s Ji-eun? You guys usually like one package” Taeyeon replies with a chuckle. “She’s upstairs unnie, reviewing some materials.”

 

“I see. Well she studies a lot, I have a plan with her in the weekend though.”

 

“Yeah we know that unnie, she told us yesterday. We thought how lucky she is to learn from you.” 

 

“What lucky? I can be scary you know.”

 

“I don’t mind.” Says one of the girls, “Me too sunbaenim.” “Me too, as long as it’s Taeyeon-sunbaenim.”

 

Taeyeon lets out her laugh, “Ah..Jinjja..”

 

“Are you alone sunbaenim? You can join us if you want..” Yena says then her two friends nudge her elbow, “Yes sunbaenim! You can join us!” Exclaims the other girl happily. 

 

“Ah no it’s okay, I actually came here with someone..” The three girl’s faces immediately fell.

 

“Tiffany-sunbaenim?” Asks Yena again,

 

“No, she’s probably sleeping at this hour.” Then they talk a bit more and laughing over a small joke until the familiar figure approaches them,

 

“Unnie.” Irene calls her softly, 

 

Taeyeon turns around to find Irene holding a book, “Irene-ah, you found it?” Irene nods, she looks up to see the three girls looking at her confusedly but blankly, “Yes. I need to pay this first then we can go unnie.”

 

“Alright. oh, and Irene-ah this is my juniors, they are the same age as you, this is Yena, Soojung, Sooyeon.” 

 

“Annyeonghaseyo.” Irene greets them with a polite bow, the three girls still keeps their silence until one of them nudge the others. 

 

“Annyeonghaseyo.” They reply with a smile and slight bow.

 

“I’m going to pay this first unnie, you can wait here and I’ll be back.” Taeyeon nods with a smile, “Geurae. (Alright)” Taeyeon answers.

 

Irene then walks away from the group to pay her book and Taeyeon finds it funny when the three girls’s gaze still following Irene,

 

“She’s so pretty.” Yena says unconsciously, “Agree.” 

 

“You came with her sunbaenim?”

 

“Yeah, she’s a law student by the way.” Taeyeon answers,

 

“She goes to our university!?” Exclaims Yena in disbelief,  “Heol.” She continues.

 

Taeyeon laughs, still finds it pretty funny that the three best friends were in awe because of Irene’s beauty. They aren’t wrong though, even the brunette herself still can’t get over of how pretty the younger girl is.

 

They talked a bit more about the upcoming exam until a girl with long and black hair approaches them with a bright smile, “Taeyeon-sunbaenim!” She then greets Taeyeon with a bow.

 

“Ji-eun ah!”

 

“What are you doing here sunbaenim?”

 

“Like your friends right here doing, but I’m more relaxed. I was only looking for a book, but Yena said they run out of stock.”

 

“I see… well, do you want to join us sunbaenim?”

 

“No it’s alright thank you by the way for the offer!”

 

“She came here with someone Ji-eun ah.” Yena says nonchalantly. “Ah really? Tiffany-sunbaenim?”

 

“No..” Taeyeon answers as she looks around for the girl, “there she is.” she continues when she finds her walks towards them.

 

“I’m done unnie.” 

 

“Alright then, oh Irene-ah this is Ji-eun, also my junior, they’re friends.”

 

“Annyeonghaseyo.” Irene greets her with a polite bow,

 

Ji-eun doesn’t reply and only raises her eye brows until Yena nudge her elbow, “Annyeonghaseyo.” She finally answers.

 

“Sunbaenim, we’re still on for weekend study session right?” Ji-eun asks and bringing her body closer to Taeyeon without looking at Irene as if the girl’s not there.

 

“Yes, I’m gonna text you the detail and I’ll send the materials the day before alright.” A big smile begins to spread on Ji-eun’s face as she swings her body showing her excitement,

 

Irene raises her eyebrows, feeling slightly irritated by the girl’s act, she doesn’t like it. “Shall we go unnie? I’m afraid it’ll be too dark when reach the beach. We haven’t had lunch.” She finally had to do ask that question.

 

Sooyeon cough as she takes a sip from her coffee, “Taeyeon-sunbaenim and Irene are going to the beach? So fun!” 

 

Irene smiles and nods “We were also planning to have a dinner there.” She continues.

 

“That’s right. Alright kids, we better go, enjoy your last day before exam!” 

 

The brunette and Irene then excuse themselves and bid their goodbye giving their slight bow to the four best friends.

 

“Here unnie, water.” Irene says as she gives her a bottle of water that she bought at the cashier, Taeyeon takes it and immediately drink a half of the bottle, “How did you know that I was thirsty?” She asks when she finish it.

 

“My uncle is a doctor, he takes care of his fluid very well unnie and whenever he goes, his 1L of water always tags along.” Taeyeon only chuckle, she then caress Irene’s back slowly as if she’s telling her that she’s grateful for the little act.

 

Little do they know that the four girls behind still eyeing them until their figures disappear.
