We Will Always Be Unfinished Business [Indefinite Hiatus]

This chapter is a direct continuation of chapter 4 so it will be starting off with Jiyong still in his thoughts. I know it's been a few days but I honestly wasn't sure if people were still interested in reading this as I hadn't been seeing much interaction but I've decided, 'Meh, what the heck? Why not?'. I kinda want to see myself where Chaerin and Jiyong will take off from here on out seeing as we've reached the pinacle of where these two are at this point in time in the real world so now...I've got to be creative and come up with an actual plot. LOL Enjoy!

EDIT: I went back to Ch4. and edited Ch5. as well as I've been on hiatus for quite a long time. I didn't realize that I had made certain mistakes regarding date issues with the relase of 'Siren' and the Met Gala. In regards to Seungri still being free in chapter four (as I had originally written him as) I wrote that chapter long before the full sentence he had received. I only now took an interest in Kpop once more and realized...well...he's in jail so I went back and changed part of Ch4. You don't have to go back and re-read it, It's a paragraph that I rewrote, maybe a little more but it's not an essential thing to go back and re-read.

Jiyong brought his cigarette up to his lips and took in a long drag before releasing it. He let his head fall back as he continued to run these scenarios in his head. These memories that just seemed to pop into his head at the most inconvenient times—when he was finally distracted and was given a small dose of happiness.

New York was relatively cold at night during this time of the year—his kind of weather.

'Kiko...' His eyes stared at the city below him.

He hadn't bothered to think about her until Jennie mentioned her. It had almost been as if she never crossed paths with him if he were honest. He's been single for awhile now and things such as romantic affection didn't reach the forefront of his mind anymore. Companionship and reliability is what he had thought he wanted but he couldn't even get that much.

He brought the cigarette back up to his lips for one final drag and placed it on the crystal ashtray beside him. He let out a breath, watching as the white smoke passed through his mouth and nose.

A tiny chuckle sounded as another memory popped up in his head—a memory during a time where he had once again went his separate ways from Kiko and spent more time with his label mate.

Jiyong closed the glass door behind him, having just taken a cigarette break out on his balcony. He looked over at the blonde sprawled across his black love-seat that reminded him a lot of a stretched out kitten and grinned.

Seeing him step toward her, she couldn't help but scrunch her nose up in distaste at the scent that followed him. “Oppa—you stink!”

Jiyong's eyebrows furrowed, grasping at his black and white striped Saint Laurent sweater to take a whiff and found nothing wrong, “No, I don't.”

“You smell like cigarettes!” She complained, covering her nose with the sleeve of the Balmain knit cardigan she was wearing.

The Big Bang leader smirked and leaned over her, placing his left hand against the seat and his right on the back-rest. “How about you wrap your arms around me and make me smell better?”

Chaerin narrowed her eyes at him and sunk herself deeper into the love-seat, “No—what you need to do is stop smoking!”

Jiyong chuckled, “Only if you help me, baby.”

He remembered her eyes had widened after he said that. He had an inkling of an idea that it had to do with the choice of endearment he used but she had made no comment on it. Things were very hazy when it came to them both. They were never just 'black and white' and always teetered into the borders of the gray-zone.

“How would I help you?” She asked and he assumed it was her way of writing off her pet-name, “You won't listen to anyone but yourself.”

Chuckling once more, Jiyong lowered his face toward hers, breathing out his following words, “Every time I get the urge...kiss me.”

Her face turned a delectable shade of red after that and it had him laughing as she slapped at his chest with little-to-no force in embarrassment.

Jiyong had wrapped his arms around her and pulled her toward him after that, placing a kiss to the top of her head as they stayed in that love seat, basking in the comfortable atmosphere that was being set by the music playing in the background, and as they say, the rest was history.

He bit at his lip as the song playing during that moment came to mind. It was a song that did things to him to this day if he heard it. He tried to stay away from it as much as he could but there were times when he was at gatherings and they played that song and he cursed every being because he didn't have her beside him.

'Bump and Grind' by R. Kelly

He had unofficially dubbed that their song after they got lost in each others embrace—she didn't know that though.

“Oppa.”

Jiyong turned his head in the direction of the voice and raised an eyebrow at the petite woman—scratch that...women.

“Annyeong, oppa!”

The Big Bang leader smiled at the two women, not moving from his spot against the railing, “Rose', congratulating on your invite to the Met Gala. I bet it was an exciting experience for you.”

Rose' returned the smile and nodded, “Thank you! It was definitely something else—more...posh than I thought. I felt a little under-dressed.”

Jennie giggled and sat down on the wrought-iron chairs on the patio and looked over at her member.

“You can never be under-dressed in Saint Laurent, Rose'.” Jennie clarified, setting her eyes on Jiyong with a predatorial stare, daring him to bite the bait. “We should go out and celebrate!”

Jiyong wanted to grimace at the suggestion but knew the spunky twenty-five year-old wasn't going to let him wallow in himself, he was here for the sole purpose of 'relaxing' as it were...

“Any ideas?” He asked, hoping he wouldn't regret this decision.

“I heard the Marquee nightclub at Luxe Lifestyle is poppin'!” Jennie said, bringing her hand-phone to Jiyong's line of sight, showing him pictures of the club. He had to admit, it did look interesting. A night of drinking, accompanied by two beautiful label-mates?

“Sure, why not?”

“Great! I'll make the reservations!”

With those words, they were off to get ready for the night.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Jiyong bit at his lip uncomfortably as he tried to veer his attention away from the female sitting next to him. Her outfit choice for the night was not completely lost on him. She knew what she was doing wearing that velvet cut-out mini dress. Then again, Rose' was also dressed in a short dress but he just didn't vibe with her on the same wave-length as he did with Jennie.

He reached for his glass of scotch and downed the entire cup before their car came to a stop, letting both ladies step out before following behind them. There was a long line of people in formation against the wall, waiting for their turn to be allowed into the club by its concierge. He felt slightly bad for them as he and his companions stepped right past them once Jennie showed proof of their reservation. Jiyong vaguely saw a couple make exaggerated movements at seeing them go in before them but brushed it off as he took in the venue.

It was definitely top-notch and nothing like he's seen before. It was incredible—to put it in small words. The club was in full swing having it already been passed one in the morning. There was a large disco ball encircled in an iron grate at the center of the room, LED lights flashed and moved on every wall, reflecting off of surfaces you wouldn't have imagined were there thanks to the dark colored theme the club had.

“What do you think, oppa?!”

Only one thought came to mind, 'Seungri would have loved this...'

Jiyong tilted his head slightly as Jennie shouted close to his ear. He quickly grinned in response and motioned for her to keep following their concierge to their VIP floor table right in front of the DJ,

“This is amazing!” Rose shouted, bouncing up a few times before she and Jennie leaned into the each other, conversing.

Jiyong turned away from them and focused on a cocktail waitress with a courteous smile on her face, demonstrating a tablet to him, showing him the list of drinks they offered.

He smiled back, nodding his head to thank her after he chose his drink.

The whole club was poppin', the crowd on their feet while a DJ he recognized very well was playing.

'Steve Aoki...' He thought.

Opposite of everyone else, the trio decided on sitting down to watch the performance. They would eventually get to the same point as everyone else—after they drink, of course.

He couldn't help but bob his head to the electric music bumping through the large speakers next to the stage. It's been a good minute since he's used a turn table, he was sure he would be pretty rusty if he were to pick up on using it again.

A hand fell on his bicep and he noted it was Jennie, “Great idea or what?!”

“I'll give you your props, short-stuff!” He cupped his hand over her ear, leaning in to shout at her so she can hear.

Jennie smirked, batting her lashes as she placed her hand over her chest, moving her lips to word out the word thank you before turning back to Rose' when her friend called for her attention.

Three o'clock hit and they had had their fair share of drinks—at least, Jiyong thought in Jennie and Rose's case. He had never been one to hold his liquor very well but the girls were worse if them almost falling over the other was any indication.

Jiyong was clearly the most sober of the three. Recognizing the fact that yes, he was buzzing but he knew where they were at and what they were doing.

He hadn't realized before but when he reached for Jennie's arm, he realized she was thin—extremely thin—was that normal for her age?

He shook his head from the thought and spoke when she looked over at him, giggling and all.

“I think it's time we go back to the hotel!”

Jennie grinned at the rapper and grabbed Rose's hand, letting her know it was time for them to go.

Rose's threw a small fit at not wanting to leave, grounding her heeled feet to the floor while Jennie tried to pull her. The only thing they accomplished was Jennie almost falling over. Had it not been for Jiyong reaching to grab her, she would have face planted into the hard floor.

Straightening her up right, Jiyong reached for Rose's and Jennie's wrists before pulling them toward the exit.

Once outside, Jiyong sighed, feeling his buzz leave as soon as the cold-night air hit him—he couldn't say the same for his label-mates though. They were a bubbling mess, laughing their butts off for no reason.

“Alright, you two have had enough fun for tonight.” He assessed, the corner of his lips quirking up in amusement as they both reached to hold onto his arms.

“Oh, come oooon, oppa! We can have more fun! Let's go tooo...” Rose's face scrunched up as she tried to think about a possible second destination.

“Right,” He chuckled, shaking his head at the blonde. Turning to the brunette on his other arm, he raised a brow in question, “let me guess? You also have some other place in mind?”

A grin fell on Jennie's face as she shook her head adorably, “Nope.”

With that, Jiyong asked for an Uber to take them back to their hotel room.

At the hotel, Rose's groaned, “I have a headache.”

Jiyong's eyebrow rose at the young female, “You hungover already?”

“She get's headaches when she drinks.” Jennie clarified, still riding on her alcohol cloud, and closed her eyes while she leaned on his arm as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

The Big Bang leader quietly cleared his throat but made no move to shake her off of him.

“Why is the sun out? Isn't it night-time?” Rose' asked, groaning as another ray of light hit her eyes.

The sunlight she was referring to were the many LED lights and jumbo-trons they were passing by to get to their hotel. They say Las Vegas is also a city that never sleeps but he thinks New York has them beat hands down.

“Maybe we shouldn't let you drink next time around.” He murmured, jest lingering in his tone as he heard the blonde in question groan once more before going quiet.

Jiyong looked back out to the city lights, a small smile fixed on his lips. “Chihuahua's can't hang with the big dogs.”

Back at the hotel, Jiyong was struggling to coax the two young women into Jennie's hotel room. It really wasn't a good idea getting caught right now trying to reel two women into a room at the wee hours of the morning, reeking of alcohol.

Finally being able to get Jennie's room card from her clutch, he slid it against the modern panel on the room door and pushed it open, bringing the whining women with him.

“Alright, bed time for the Winx girls.” He muttered, setting them onto the couch in the living room. Jennie had definitely gone all out for this vacation. It wasn't odd for him to spend time in luxurious places like this too but he seldom left his apartment.

“Winx girls?” Jennie groaned out, her face contorting in a way that let him know she had no clue what he was talking about.

“Never mind.” He had delved too far into his childhood—too far back that these girls would have no idea of what he was talking about.

He situated them each on the L-section couch as much as was comfortable for him to be
