The Silent Coffee Prince“That’ll be $8.50, please.” Donghae said, giving a warm smile to the young man. The tall brunette scrambled in his jean pockets for the last of the change after handing over the crisp bills, yawning.
His face was half obscured with a black mouth mask, dark hair peaking out from a beanie that was topped with a hoodie’s hood.
He pressed the silver coins into Donghae’s warm palm, barely looking up, dazed, sleepy. Donghae chuckled a bit to himself, gently pushing forward the tall coffee cup across the counter and the plastic bag containing snacks.
“Thanks,” the quiet tenor responded in a mumble, picking up the items to leave.
“Have a great day!” Donghae replied, giving a small wave to the young man.
The door shut behind him, bell ringing.
“You have heart eyes,” snorted the voice behind the shop’s cashier. He kept his voice low, but mocking, watching as the previous customer was out of earshot. He walked down the street, out of view from the shop’s large front windows.
