Marry Me, Marry Me NotKai waited anxiously for Sehun on the side of the Dog's Trust building. He wrung his hands over and over.
What should he say? What should he tell Sehun? Kai could hardly say that he was in love with Sehun's girlfriend. That was so wrong.
He couldn't do that. To fight with a friend or to lose his heart? Kai was devastated. He wanted to get to know Jiseul more, but he had caught himself. He found himself thinking of her, more and more.
Everyday he had conversations with her in his head. He only needed to blink and he would see her smile. His thoughts were narrated in her voice. Her name was the most beautiful.
Kai was ashamed. How could he have all these thoughts? He was a terrible friend. He should have never called the bet. It was a horrible idea from the start. He'd ended up in love.
Working alongside her day in and day out. Her blazing energy, her bubbly personality, her ability to stay positive, the infectious smile she gave everyone; all of her was in his heart. Kai wanted to stop. Jiseul didn't love him.
He'd actually had the nerve to ask her out. Had she said 'yes' to him, Kai would have stolen her right from under Sehun's nose. He was prepared for everything but she'd rejected him. His heart bled. He'd pretended to be cool but he'd gone home and cried. He wasn't over her. His pride had been hurt, yes, but his heart hadn't forgotten her.
"Damn, where is Sehun? I need to tell him I can't do this thing anymore."
Kai lit a cigarette. He was stressed to the max. His whole body expressed the agitation as he paced back and forth.
Sehun arrived at his usual early time. He was surprised to find Kai being early.
"I need to talk to you now!"
"What's up Kai?"
"The thing with Jiseul is off. I don't want to go for her anymore and see if she cheats on you."
"Why? I thought it was a good idea to build trust."
"I just can't do it anymore."
Sehun scratched his chin thoughtfully. He didn't know why Kai looked so upset. The guy looked like he was about to crack into pieces. Sehun felt sweat break out.
"Did she cheat on me with you? Is that why you're like this?" Sehun inquired.
Kai's mouth fell open. For a second he was tempted to say 'yes, she's mine now.' However when he tried to speak no words came.
"Is that it?" Sehun cried. "So that's why you're here like this! I never thought Jiseul would actually cheat on me. I thought I could trust her. Did you tell her it was only a test? What did she say then?"
Clamping his mouth shut, Kai turned a shade of purple. He muttered something incoherently and hurried away.
Sehun was about to chase him as Kai whipped by; when he turned around Jiseul was standing there.
"Jiseul!"
"What did I just hear?"
"I can't believe you'd cheat on me with Kai. Is that why you kept our relationship a secret?"
"I never cheated on you, you idiot. You sent your best friend to test my loyalty? Is that what I heard?"
"Um…"
"I hate you!"
Sehun flinched. Jiseul wore a murderous look.
"Listen--"
"Talk to me and I'll rip your tongue out."
Sehun gulped. Jiseul was really angry.
He could feel the wrath fuming from her in dark billows. A confrontation now could really mean the end. His throat went dry when she stalked past him towards the front door of their workplace.
All day his mind st
