“Taemin-ah!”

Kibum’s voice forced every sense of Taemin to wake up that Sunday morning. “Hyung... I just woke up. Couldn’t you be a little gentler?”

The latter just laughed off his dongsaeng’s raspy voice. “Ya, you haven’t told me anything since I set you up with Son Naeun! It’s your fault that I got extra curious!”

“It’s not even that urgent to disturb my sleep. Geez,” Taemin pouted, propped himself to go back to his slumber.

Kibum sighed, “It’s already noon, young man. Come on, you’re meeting Naeun today!”

Taemin halted.

“So, weekend trip, you say?” Taemin unenthusiastically rephrased Kibum’s words, roaming his eyes around the vast Seoul Color Park they were at.

Kibum approached his ears to whisper, “It’s a double date, you fool.”

His eyes widened as he instinctively glanced to the brunette girl who’s currently talking with Eunji. They seemed like talking about something fun, as the girl laughed widely, showing her neat pair of teeth. Stunning. It’s a big lie to say otherwise.

Kibum moved near Eunji, putting his arm around her shoulder. “Let’s have a walk.” Eunji nodded and the two started walking ahead, leaving Taemin and Naeun behind. “Ya Lee Taemin, kaja! It’s our precious Sunday after all!” Kibum shouted at Taemin who lazily followed after.

“I supposed to sleep all day long...” Taemin murmured to himself, but loud enough to be heard by the girl beside him who eventually smiled,

“I’m sorry about your day off, sunbae...”

Taken aback, Taemin hurriedly clarified, “What? Why are you sorry? No, it’s Kibum-hyung all along!” he managed to let out an awkward laugh while cursed inwardly for ruining the mood. They’re supposed to have fun here, after all.

Naeun unexpectedly continued their talk, “Is Sunday always your day off? Or has this week been busy for you?”

Taemin smiled, inwardly thanked Naeun for taking the initiative. “It was a busy week... practices everyday, it’s tiring.”

“I’m sure your effort’s gonna be paid off. The showcase was a hit,” Naeun uttered.

“Well, everyone worked hard preparing the show.”

“But it’s clear that you worked the hardest. I can tell, just by watching your perfomance.”

Taemin turned his head to Naeun who’s now looking at anywhere but him. She obviously couraged herself to say that. She actually had courage in her. Sometimes she surprised me...

Ignoring the strange feeling he’s having inside, he uttered, “Thank you...”

It took him a moment before finally gathered himself together and said in delight, “Ah, it’s nice. It really feels like it’s all paid
