SooYoung’s P.O.V Something was wrong with Vicky since we left Star King, and she wasn’t very good at hiding it “Vicky what’s wrong?” I asked “No….thing….I’m….fine…..SooYoung” she was wheezing, she wasn’t fine “Vicky, you lying. Since you won’t tell me, I’m calling Sunny” and that’s exactly what I did Sunny’s P.O.V “Riley can you go in my purse and get my phone, I think it’s ringing” I know I’m not hearing things “Yea sure… It’s SooYoung, answer it?” “No let it keeping ringing…Yes, answer it and put in on speakerphone” man people are slow today “ Hey SooYoung what’s up?” “Hi Sunny, I think something’s wrong with Vicky” “How so?” “Well since we’ve left Star King she’s been coughing a lot, and really short of breathe, and when she talks she makes this wheezing sound” Me and Riley shared a glance “You have got to be kidding me. Alright SooYoung, what I want you to do is tell the driver that he needs to go to the hospital, when you get there I want you to tell the lady at the front desk that she is having an asthma attack, and for those of you that don’t know what asthma is I’ll explain it at the hospital, we’ll meet you there” “Alright see you soon” “How can you be sure that it’s an asthma attack Sunny” asked Mason “Because you know how Bekah told you that I had 2 friends growing up, Riley and Saveah?” “Yea what about it?” asked Ben “Well growing up, Saveah had asthma, and she had attacks frequently so Riley and I can spot an attack from a mile away” “Alright guys you’re going to have to take the vans back to the house, I’m staying at the hospital with Vicky, the medicine that she needs takes 9 hours to fully work through her system, so we’re going to be here overnight” “But Sunny we want to see her and make sure she’s fine, and you still have to explain what asthma is” said Jessie “Alright we’re here, you can come in and see her, but only for a little bit, the vans aren’t going to wait forever and you all need sleep” “Deal” said Mason The vans were already here, so I knew that they had beat us to the hospital which is good, so Mason, Ben, Jessie, Riley and I walked up to the front desk, I had to find the rest of our group “Hi there, I’m looking for a patient named Vicky, she was brought in with 8 other people, and she was having an asthma attack” I asked the desk nurse “She’s in room 218 on the 3rd level” “Thank you” and with that we made our way to the elevator, and I honestly thought we could go more than 3 days without something bad happening “Hey how you holding up” asked Ben as we walked into her room “I’ve felt better” she tried to laugh but started coughing “Relax Vicky, you’re not helping your asthma” I said “So Sunny, what exactly is asthma” said SooYoung “Asthma is a lung condition, were different things can trigger an attack, stuff like stress, mold, dust, pollen, running, or season change which we are in right now. When a person with asthma gets an attack, their airways in their lungs fill with mucus and start closing, so it makes the person have a hard time breathe, as you saw in the vans. Vicky why didn’t you tell anyone you had asthma?” I said “Because it only acts up when the snow melt, and I had lost track of time because of training and our schedules, to realize that we are going into the season change from winter to spring” “I’m sorry to interrupt, but she needs her rest, only one of you can stay with her since she underage still” said a nurse “I’ll do it, I have a car so I’ll be able to take her home when the treatments done” “Alright ma’am, the rest of you have to leave in 5 minutes please” “Guys go home, she’ll be fine, and I’ll call in the morning when we’re about to leave. But one of you guys is going to have to make breakfast tomorrow since I won’t be back in time to do it” “I’ll do it, but what does everyone eat?” asked Riley “I’ll text you it later” “Alright, Vicky feel better” said Mason, everyone said their goodbye and went to the vans to go home “You know I’m going to have to call the president right” “Yea, I figured that would have to happen soon” she said through the mask “Good evening sir, I’m sorry to be calling you so late” “It’s alright Miss. Bent, but what is this about” “Well I thought I would tell you before you heard it in the news or online, but we had to admit Vicky to the hospital for the night” “And why is that exactly” “She failed to mention that she had asthma, and that it only acts up when we’re going through a season change, which would be right now. She got an attack while in the vans on the way home from taping Star King, and SooYoung didn’t know what was going on, so she called me and since one of my friends had asthma as we we’re growing I knew what was happening so I told them to take her here” “And how long do you suppose she will be in the hospital” “It depends on the dose they give her, 4 dose-which is the regular amount- take 9 hours, so I don’t expect us to be longer than that” “Are you going to stay with her for the next 9 hours” “Yup, and when she’s discharged I’m going to take her home, I have my car parked outside” “Alright, thank you for calling me to let me know Miss. Bent” “You’re welcome Sir, Good Night” “Good Night Miss, Bent and do tell Vicky that I hope she feels better soon” “I will sir” I hung up “What did he say?” asked Vicky “He understood, and that he hope you feel better soon. But you should get some sleep, it’s going to be a long night, but sleep helps to pass the time quicker” “Alright, see you in 9 hours” “Night” I said and got up and turned the lights off so it wouldn’t be so bright for her, but I left one set on so the nurse could see. I was woken up 3 times during the night by the nurse so she could change Vicky’s mask, and thank god that Vicky was a heavy sleeper because I didn’t need her waking up, she needed the sleep (8:00 the next morning) “Excuse me, Miss” the nurse shook me awake “Yes” I said tiredly “Your friend is ready to go home, we just need you to sign some paper, and we have to give you a prescription for Symbicort and Ventaline. It would be wise to fill the prescription ASAP” said the nurse “Alright thank you for everything you and the doctors have done for us, and respecting our privacy by not letting anyone else in” I said with a warm smile “You’re welcome ma’am, we get a lot of idols at this hospital so we’re use to this” After that we left the room so I could sign Vicky release paper and get her prescription, finally time to go home “Hey Vicky, wake up” “Yea Sunny?” she said half awake “I know your tired but you’re being release, I need you to get changed, you can sleep in the car since I have to make a pit stop to fill a prescription they gave to me for you” “Alright” still she didn’t sound awake, but she made her way to the bathroom to change, while she’s doing that I’m going to call the house to let whoever is awake that we’re on our way home “Hello?” “Hey Riley, how’s breakfast duty going?” “Hey Sunny, I have no idea how you do this every morning this is way too much” “You get used to it that and a lot of coffee, but hey Vicky just got release from the hospital I’m just waiting for her to get changed, then we’ll leave but it’s going to take a little longer than usual, we have to make a pit stop at the pharmacy to get Vicky’s prescription filled” “Let me guess Symbicort and Ventaline? Same as Saveah” “You got it, so we’ll be home in maybe 30-45 minutes” “Alright, well do you want me to have yours and Vicky’s breakfast ready for when you get home?” “No it’s alright we’re probably both going to go to bed, it’s been a long night for us” “Alright see you soon” “Bye Riley” “Bye” Just as I hung up the phone Vicky came out of bathroom “Ready to go sweetheart?” “Mhmm” She’s still so tired After I finally got her into the car, I drove to the pharmacy to fill her prescription and they said it would be ready in 4 hours. It’s going to feel really good to sleep in my own bed instead of a chair “Sync call house” “Hello?” answered Riley “Hey it’s me again, who’s all awake right now?” “The Twins, Mason, SooYoung, Amber, and Ben, why?” “Well I’m pulling up to the house, but I don’t want to wake Vicky up can you please send Ben and Amber outside, Ben to carry Vicky to her room and Amber to let them into their room” “Yea, no problem” “Thanks bye, sync end call” As soon as I turned the corner to our house I could see Ben and Amber waiting at the front door for us, so I pulled into my spot and parked the car “Morning Sunny” they said together “Hey guys” I’ve being trying so hard all morning not to yawn “How’s she doing?” asked Amber “She’ll be fine, they gave me a prescription for her for 2 different asthma medications, it will be ready in 4 hours, and thanks again for coming to get her, I didn’t want to wake her up again” “No problem” said Ben, after he got her from the car I locked it and walked into the house and by time we got home everyone else was awake “Morning Sunny” said everyone from the kitchen who was eating breakfast “While the 11 of you eat breakfast, I’m going back to bed. I’ll be up in 4 hours, I have to go back to the pharmacy and get Vicky’s prescription then we can gave our movie marathon like we planned” Mason P.O.V “In 11 years I don’t remember her ever looking this tired” said Riley “She even looks more tired than Vicky and she was the one who had the asthma attack” said Ben “Well from rooming with Vicky I can tell you that she’s a really heavy sleeper” said Amber “Whereas Sunny is a light sleeper, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t get much sleep at the hospital with all that goes on there” ‘Knock Knock’ “Jessie can you go get that?” I asked “Yea… Oh Good Morning Sir won’t you come in” From the sir part of the sentence I’m guessing the president was here “Thank you Jessie, Good Morning New Future” “Good Morning Sir” we all said “I just came to see if Vicky and Sunny were back yet?” “Yea they’re home, their up in their rooms sleeping for a couple extra hours” I said “Well that’s good, just a few more questions. Who first noticed that Vicky was having difficulties breathing?” “That would be me sir, I tried asking her about it but she said it was nothing, so I called Sunny” “You called Sunny while she was driving” “Sir, she never took her hands off the wheel, she asked me to get her phone for her and put it on speakerphone” said Riley “She never misses any of our calls” began Jay “Just in case something like this happens” ended Jason “Well just makes her an excellent leader than. But be warned somehow the press got a hold of Vicky being admitted last night so you might be getting house visits from the press but just ignore them, and just stay home today” “But sir, we were planning on going out to eat because Vicky made a full recovery quickly” said Jessie “Well I’m sorry guys but that is going to have to wait till some other day” said the president sadly “Yes, sir” “Guy’s don’t worry about it, I’ll make something for dinner” said Sunny as she walked down the stairs Sunny’s P.O.V “Sunny, I thought you we’re sleeping?” said Mason “I was, but I kept waking up, and I have to go get up soon anyways to go get Vicky prescription” I said “Sunny, you can’t leave the house, the press is outside and will be for some time” “With all due respect sir, Vicky’s health is way more important than the press, and with the season change happening right now Vicky’s asthma will only get worse without that medication. So, in 30 minute I’m going out there to my car and I’m driving out my driveway and getting that medication for her” “You’re not going to take no for an answer for you?” asked the president “Not a chance, sir. New Future is my family, and I’m going to take care of them as a family” “Alright fine, but you have to take Mason with you and then you come straight back here, deal?” “Deal sir” “Besides the 2 of you, no one is to leave this house. Now have a good day New Future” “Good bye sir” we all said “Ok someone please tell me that there is still coffee left” I said “We made an extra pot just for you” said Ben “You guys are the best” I said walking to the kitchen “So Sunny, are you really going to go out looking like?” asked Amber “Yup” I said as I poured myself coffee into a travel mug “But you’re in sweats, tank top and sweater” said Ben “Your point? Soon I’ll be un UGGS to” I said “Nice Sunny” laughed Mason “Good question for myself, where are my car keys?” I said out loud “You brought them upstairs to your room, instead of leaving them in the basket by the door” said Riley “Thanks Riley, Mason get ready we’re leaving soon as I get my keys” I said and kissed Riley on the cheek as I ran by him I know the president said that was press outside but I didn’t think he meant most of our front lawn was press. So while Mason and I made our way to my car, we are ambushed by questions from the press, from was it true about Vicky to did we have any gossip about any other group we’ve worked with so far. One thing about being an idol I know I’m going to hate, is all this press, but thank god my car was close “Man, I will never get use to that” said Mason “Same here, but the quicker we get Vicky’s medication the quicker we can get back inside our house, where the press can’t get us” we laughed The drive to the pharmacy took roughly 15 minutes, so I quickly ran into the pharmacy grabbed her prescription and ran back outside. Then 15 minutes it took to get back was way too quick, I was dreading to have to deal the press, but when we got there I chose the spot that was only like 7ft from the door, I hope this time its quick. When I park the car, Mason and I booked it from the car to the door, I locked my car as soon as I was at the front door. “Yea, defiantly none of you are going out there today” Mason said, catching his breath from the sprint “Has Vicky woken up yet?” I asked also trying to catch my breath “Yea she’s in the kitchen eating her breakfast, well lunch now” said Riley I walked into the kitchen and there’s Vicky eating maple syrup covered pancakes “You know, Riley doesn’t make as good of pancakes as you do” she said and then took another bite “I know he’s a guy, that and he doesn’t have my recipe that I’ve tweaked to your guys liking. But hey I got your medication that the hospital gave you” “Alright what do I got to take?” she said finishing her pancakes “You need to take your Symbicort twice a day for 2 weeks, and then your Ventaline is in case of emergencies, and you need to take one puff of Ventaline anytime we are training before we start and right after we finish” “Great” she said sarcastically “I know you don’t like it Vicky but you got to do it, if not this could put your dream on the line. Think about it you could guilt trip the boys into watching any movie we want, cause remember today is our movie marathon day” “Right, and I know exactly what I’m going to make then watch” she had an evil grin on her face, and I automatically knew which movies she was thinking about (time skip 15min ahead) “You want us to watch what!” yelled Ben “Every single twilight movie” smirked Vicky remain very calm “But those are chick movies” said Mason “Riley do you have anything to say” I said glaring at him evilly “Nope not a thing” he said looking scared “Whipped” said the twins “Hey, I’m the one remaining in her good books” smirked Riley “But guys it’s only fair, Vicky just got out of the hospital and since we couldn’t take her out to dinner, she at least deserves this” said Jessie “Guy meeting” yelled Kevin “You know they have a point” said Kevin “Yea but twilight is a chicks movie” said Xander “But Vicky deserves this” said Mason “Good point” said Xander “Guy meeting adjourned” said Kevin “Fine we will watch your stinking twilight, but next Sunday we’re watch all the Fast and Furious movie ” said Jay “ Deal” said the girls So we got maybe through the first 2 movies when I fell asleep in Riley’s arms Riley’s P.O.V “Dude she’s asleep” said Jason “Dude don’t you think he knew that” Jay replied sarcastically “Will you both be quiet, she’s a light sleeper remember, and she needs to get some sleep” I said quietly “Sorry” they both said “Jessie which room is yours and Sunny’s?” I said quietly picking Sunny up “Upstairs to the right, 1st door on the left, door should be open, we only close it if one of us is asleep” “Alright thanks” I replied and quietly made my way upstairs to their room “Alright Sunny, get some sleep. You deserve this at least for all you do for this group and all you sacrifice. I love you Sunny, sleep tight” I said to myself as I tucked her into her bed Sunny has got to realize that if doesn’t start taking care of herself as well as she does the rest of her group, then she’s going to get sick and be out of commission soon. With Pledis’s trip to Canada in less than 2 weeks I don’t think she can afford that happening. “How is she?” asked SooYoung when I got back downstairs “Good, still asleep” I said “At least she got out of watching these crappy movie” said Ben, which earned him a smack upside the head from Vicky who was sitting right beside him on the couch, which got all of New Future laughing
