Ghost of winter snow was still visible on the side of the street when Hyewon decided driving home to her apartment in Seoul. 

She just moved a few weeks ago for school that's starting next week. She really don't know anyone.

It's the 18th of March today and the cold breeze was flowing on her slightly opened car window. 

She look at her clock dashboard and sigh when the colored bright red clock says 10:29, Only a couple of hours and the 19th will start. No wonder not so many cars was passing by now, it's almost midnight. 

Hyewon hum when her favorite song comes on the radio. She live for moments like this.

Her driving in the middle of the night, wind brushing her lightly, her jam playing and the citylights. She loves the tranquility it brings. 

But that serene moment didn't last long when she caught herself in the headlights of someone else's car in front of her. The car swerve fully avoiding Hyewon and a loud crash was heard after. 

On reflex, Hyewon hit her breaks hard and her eyes widen in shock. What did just happen? Her heart start to hammer. 

She looked at her rear view mirror only to find smokes coming out from the car that almost hit her. It hit a huge cement barricade on the side of the road. The car was a wreck! 

Fear was slowly eating her. Her eyes caught the red numbers displayed 12:00 on her car dashboard but she ignore it. Hyewon quickly get out of her car and run to the one that crashed. 

"A-are you okay? " She pants.

The girl inside was obviously hurt and seems like her lower body was stuck on the smashed part of the car. There is a blood gushing from its head, it scares Hyewon. 

The girl didn't respond, instead she tried to reach something from the backseat. Hyewon can hear whimpers and groans of pain from her. She then smell the gasoline and saw it leaking from the cars gas tank. 

Hyewon panic. 

"H-hey I'll try to help you okay. Stay still. "

Hyewon was pulling the car door really hard but it's not opening. She tried for so many times, putting all her strength on it. She was even sweating now but to no avail. 

"Goddamn it! " She hissed. Why did she ing left her phone on her car. 

"I-it's..okay. "

"This is my fault. This is my fault. This is my fault. " She grab a handful of her ownhair while walking back and forth thinking what to do. She look at the helpless girl. 

"Stay here, I'll call for help."

Hyewon was about to run back to her car when the barely alive girl stop her on her wrist. 

"I-it's a..lready to la..te"

"What are you saying?! No I can get you out of there. Stay her--"

"Ssshh"

Hyewon can't believe it. Tonight will be her nightmare if she can't get the girl out. 

"I-- i've lived ...my life well."

The girl handed her a box and that caught Hyewon off guard. What is this? 

"Take care of her or else..." The girl cough.

"I----i'll haunt you."

The girl smiled softly before it slowly closes her eyes. 

"Take care of her... "

Hyewon saw the little fire near the leaking gas. Uh oh.. This is bad. 

"...... for me. " 

"No, I can get you out!! I can ge--"

"P-promise me"

"I promise." The girl smiled contentedly. 

Hyewon tried pulling the cardoor again but it's hopeless. The front part was so smashed it cannot be recognized as a car anymore. 

Sparks was now seen on some part of the car and Hyewoncant help but to cry while still trying to open the door. 

They heard something erupt only to find the fire getting bigger. 

With the girl's remaining strength..she shouted at Hyewon.

"RUN---!! "

"No I can't! We  need to get out together!! You can take care of her, well get out togeth--"

"I said GO!"

"No I ca--"

Hyewon feel a pair of arms pulling her away from the car. She fought so hard but failed. 

"I can't let her die!! " Hyewon shouted while sobbing, clinging unto the box given to her. 

"It's too late." The man behind him answered. 

She was so focus on getting the girl out that she didn't notice the police and some people witnessing far from the scene. 

"It was  my fault! It was my fault!"

And when the dark night lighted with the strongest sound Hyewon can't possibly forgot, she dropped on her knees, crying so hard and loud she didn't know she's capable of. What have she done?

I killed her.

It was dawn when the officers calmed her down. 

S​​​​​​he look at the box given to her, slowly opening it.

There are words written there and it says "Love, your cherry blossom." A sob escape . 

Is she the "her"? 

​​​​​Take care of her. 

Another tears escape her eyes. " I will."

Hyewon took a deep breath as she wipe her tears, tiredness and sleepiness was now kicking in her senses. 

I'm sorry, cherry blossom. 

She muttered before closing her eyes.
