hello. thank you for reading this far. I hope you enjoyed the story. to those who’ve been waiting since 2019 for me to finish this story; sorry for the long wait. for all new readers, thank you for giving this a go.

 

I feel like I owe you an explanation as to why this was on hiatus for such a long time. there’s not much to say, really. I encountered a bump with Sana’s character early on and ultimately stopped the story because I couldn’t figure out what the hell she was doing. I had hit a wall and admitted failure, so I put the story on hiatus, thinking I’d return to it when I’ve understood her character a bit better.

 

fast forward to 2022, and I’ve lost control of absolutely everyone in this story. a comment from one of my readers served as a reminder that this story did indeed exist and deserved an ending. now, we can all argue whether or not this is a good ending, or a deserved ending, or even a bad one. but I do think it is an appropriate place where we can let the characters go and do their own thing…

 

anyway, thank you for trusting me for so long. I have a few more stories in mind for Dahyun (alternative universes, of course), but I don’t know when I’ll be writing those. I also don’t know if I’ll be writing any more stories on this site. don’t worry, that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop writing. I upload stories on AO3 now, under the same username as I have here (despereauxx). I haven’t written

wow ! I had not expected you to write a full-length saida fan fiction, what a surprise ! and the suspense! your writing is amazing and a real pleasure to read <3 like most times (or actually always), your writing goes into great detail and it feels as if we are the characters, like I've been Dahyun.

Chapter 3: Oh dear! You've updated! :D And once more, it is impressive! The detail and the sensory aspect of the scenes is remarkable. Like, it feels as if I'm right there along side the characters and going through the same things. The writing is just that vivid! And you're breaking my heart in so many ways (which is a good thing, in this case XD) It's all so harsh in this world. And the chemistry and dialogue between the characters, I think it's brilliant. Like, Chaeng being feisty, Tzuyu being a mediator of sorts, and Dahyun who prefers keeping her head down. I like this tension between the School Meal Club. Then, with Mina and Sana. That MiChaeng moment was so uwu :3 And Sana taking care of Dahyun? It was so tender and loving and that one scene does so much for me than multiple chapters of other SaiDa fics (and oh boy, I've read A LOT). You gave so much insight, showing us Sana's past and how she and Dahyun became close. Ugh, I adore this fic so hard <3

Chapter 2: There's something delicious about so much misery... I absolutely love the hopeless atmosphere X) And something tells me that Dahyun's putting her brother on a higher pedestal than he deserves? I dunno. It's just the vibe I'm getting so far. Chapter 1: This is impressive and intriguing. Great world-building and detail. I felt oppressed alongside them as I read. Great work on that! The writing and the ideas are amazing. Really well thought-out. Shows intelligence! Hooked already and you have my support all the way, authornim! On to read the next one :)
