“Taeyeon?” he looked at her in bewilderment. 

Taeyeon wore a light pink, long-sleeved dress under a loose, beige sweater. A gray, white-striped scarf was wrapped around her neck for protection against the cold, and her curled hair was tied up into a simple ponytail.

She had no efforts of trying to be beautiful, for even with the simplest clothes, Wooyoung could consider her as a goddess. But what bugged Wooyoung was the loathsome presence of the person beside Taeyeon and how her arm clung onto his.

“Long time no see, buddy,” said the man with a mocking smile on his face. “Hey, Jiyong,” Wooyoung replied apathetically.

Kwon Jiyong was Taeyeon’s ex-boyfriend. He was a loafer who took advantage of Taeyeon for drugs, alcohol, and girls. Now that Taeyeon’s lost her memory of having married Wooyoung, she still thinks she’s in a relationship with Jiyong.

“What are you doing here?” Wooyoung asked Taeyeon. “What are you doing here with that guy?” he repeated as he glared at Jiyong. “Is it bad that she’s with her own boyfriend?” Jiyong smiled slyly. Taeyeon fidgeted on her spot, not knowing what to do.

“Can you let us be, my friend? We’re just here because we got hungry from you know... lovemaking,” he snickered as Taeyeon tugged at his sleeve, feeling embarrassed with his statement.

“Ji...” she called him, wanting him to stop. “Yes, babe?” His smile grew even irritatingly wider as he was getting into Wooyoung’s nerves.

At that moment, Wooyoung just wanted smack that smirk off of Jiyong’s face until it bled. Without any hesitation, he seized Taeyeon’s clinging arm away from Jiyong’s but he pulled her back.

“Let go of her,” Wooyoung demanded firmly but Jiyong didn’t comply. “She’s my girlfriend,” stated Jiyong. “She’s my wife,” Wooyoung snapped back.

As the tension grew, the employees crowded in one spot, watching them. “Let go, Jiyong,” ordered Wooyoung once more. “Oppa...” Taeyeon muttered softly, not wanting to let go of Jiyong’s arm.

“Taeyeon wants me, Wooyoung,” Jiyong boasted with much pride. Wooyoung’s gaze immediately turned to Taeyeon, but she looked away. “Taeyeon, please...” he whispered.

“Come on, Tae. This guy just doesn’t understand that you love me now,” Jiyong pecked her lips.

That was it.

Wooyoung seized Taeyeon and took her outside. She almost stumbled on her heels as Wooyoung got harsh on dragging her.

“What are you doing?!” she cried out, as he took her to his car. “Let me go!” she persisted, trying to break open the car door. When Wooyoung started the engines, she screamed, “Jiyong-oppa! Jiyong-oppa!” pushing his patience to the limit.

“YOU LET HIM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU?!” he yelled almost deafeningly. Taeyeon froze on her seat. She could feel tears welling up in her eyes as she kept her head down. Wooyoung seized both her shoulders. “Did you or did you not hook up with that ?!”

“Jiyong’s not an !” Taeyeon shouted, but Wooyoung answered back almost immediately. “How would you know, huh?! You can’t even remember anything!” he yelled as Taeyeon scowled at his words.

“That’s the damn point, Wooyoung! I can’t remember anything! I can’t remember anything about you! About our marriage! About you being my husband! And about everything that you claim to have happened before the accident! NONE!”

Taeyeon was panting, at a loss for air. She was so exhausted. “Now just let me go, please...” she begged, holding on to his right arm.
