The morning began itself with light pours of rain and thick, gray clouds masking the bright sun. Waking up from the cold temperature, she muffled herself with a thick blanket before staggering out the bedroom.

The house was silent, completely muted, except for the light patters the raindrops were making on the roof.

She searched for her husband who she found not on the couch anymore. She walked over to the kitchen, then upstairs to one room, half-decorated with light pink paint, and half-furnished with a crib, a high chair, a small wooden dresser with glow in the dark flower stickers stuck on its surface and a small music box, studded with tiny silver crystals. Walking forward, she turned the clockwork and the box sprang open with a princess and her prince, holding onto each other as they danced to the classical tune the music box was making.

She hummed the melody with her sweet voice, and anyone who would hear her would become jealous of her kids who are able to listen to this voice of hers every day of their lives... well, only if she had one.

The thought pained her, making her think again if it was one of the reasons why Wooyoung was mad at her. She couldn’t get herself to believe his words from yesterday that it was fine if they weren’t able to have children. She then felt confused as memories from last night played back inside her head.

“Taeyeon.” Wooyoung was right behind her, standing at the doorway of the baby room.

She turned back with swollen eyes, tears pooling at their edges, and she immediately avoided his gaze, walking pass by him, and out the room.

He chased after her, striding forward to catch her at the exact moment when she tripped over the blanket she was holding around herself.

She pushed him away, stubbornly escaping him as she walked to nowhere in particular. Just a few moments ago, she was looking for him. So why was she running away from him now?

“Baby, please,” he called her as they continue their chasing game.

“Go to work, Wooyoung.”

“It’s Saturday.”

She felt herself flush the same color as the baby room, and she sighed in relief at the fact that she wasn’t facing him, or else he would’ve seen her blush. She headed out to the main door, and she heard him panic behind her.

He grabbed her arm, pulled her to himself, shut the door back close, and kissed her—hard. His lips grazed against hers in the most passionate way. His throat sounded a deep groan as he continued to nibble her lips.

Using all her strength, she pushed him away, wanting to make him feel the same level of rejection she had felt last night when he pushed her away.

“Don’t push me away,” he said as he enveloped her in his arms.
