Under The TreeAfter recovering from being mobbed and asking Hyukjae the way to his homestay, Donghae suddenly praised the Goddess of Fortune for the first time of his life. It turned out that Hyukjae was working on the same homestay where Donghae stayed for three days and Donghae was more grateful that he had someone to rely on, at least during his stay.
He wished to be alone earlier but not this time, with Hyukjae accompanied him.
Along the road to the homestay, they were talking like ordinary people, throwing out random things happened in their life and exchanging some old jokes they were familiar with. Donghae couldn’t help but sighed in relief that Hyukjae saw him as Lee Donghae, the Mokpo guy, not the superstar Lee Donghae. He was so comfortable around Hyukjae, surprisingly and how much he wished to be with Hyukjae all the time.
He couldn’t wish something impossible as Donghae shook the thought away.
The black-haired guy stopped walking before pointing out the lodge on the left side of the road. It was surrounded by the cherry blossom trees and wood fences that made it looked traditional and old. The yellow sign ‘Home Sweet Home’ was plastered on the door and Hyukjae opened the door with a key that looked old than Donghae. As the door opened, a man with a dimple welcomed them, hugging Hyukjae before finally behaving professionally in front of Donghae.
“Welcome to Home Sweet Home. May I know your name, Sir?” asked the dimple man, folding his hands on his belly. Hyukjae rolled his eyes, making Donghae chuckled.
“Donghae, Lee Donghae. My manager booked a room for three days if I am not mistaken.” Donghae smiled while taking his hat off and revealing his blue-haired.
“Ah, you must be Lee Donghae that Hyukkie always –” Hyukjae cut the dimple man’s words with a hand on his mouth. Once again, Hyukjae was red on his cheeks and ears, making Donghae felt happy inside.
“Cut it out, Leeteuk-Hyung.” Hyukjae threatened Leeteuk, “I will show you the room, Donghae. Come on,” Hyukjae took Donghae’s hand, dragging him to the hallway. When they reached Donghae’s room, Hyukjae let Donghae’s hand go, making Donghae whimpered inside because of the lost contact. Donghae cursed inside his head, wondering why he got already attached with Hyukjae and why he suddenly wanted to spend his three-days off together with Hyukjae.
“Donghae. Earth to Lee Donghae,” Hyukjae waved his hand on Donghae’s face, taking Donghae out from his trance of thoughts, “This is your room, and there is a phone beside your bed if you need something.” Hyukjae said as Donghae went inside the room. The room was painted with white and baby blue color and old paintings plastered on the wall. Donghae was mesmerized by the view of the cherry blossom tree blooming and a small pond under it.
“Sure, thanks for everything, Hyukjae.” Donghae smiled brightly, Hyukjae couldn’t help but beamed happily to Donghae, the brightest smile Donghae ever seen in his life and it sent butterflies on his stomach.
As Hyukjae left, Donghae put his bag before laying his body on the bed. Staring at the ceilings, Donghae wondered how the things went in Seoul. It has been days since the recording went a halt because he threw up in his recording room. He went paled every time his manager mentioned the recording room. He couldn’t write
