"I know who the real Amu is, and I know she's not the one I love."

Ryosuke's sudden confession shocked Daiki and he struggled to find the right words to say. He was confused and upset at the same time. 

"When did you find out?" Daiki asked him, his tone slightly angry. 

"Before I even met the both of them. I was at school early on my first day. I was told that Amu and I would be in the same class so I visited their classroom and I overheard them talking about their plan." 

"You knew this whole time?" 

"Yeah..." 

"Why didn't you say anything?!"

"I was furious in the beginning! I was pissed to hear that my parents had arranged a marriage for me. What made it even worse was that I had to transfer schools just to sit in the same classroom with the same person who lied about everything." Ryosuke explained. "I just went along with everything. I figured that I'll play their game for a while. I wanted them to stress about their plan, to give them a taste of how difficult of a life they had tried to put me through." Ryosuke paused before beginning again, "I just wasn't expecting to actually fall in love with Rio..." 

Daiki sighed and unlocked his phone. "I have to tell Amu. She has to know..."

"Wait-" Ryosuke begged. "She's with Rio right now, isn't she? I don't want Rio to know yet." 

"Why? Isn't it better to tell her? She can finally stop pretending."

"It's the same reason why Amu didn't want to tell you about her arranged marriage." Ryosuke answered. "I heard her talking about you on my first day as well. It's hard to explain to someone that you've been hiding something from them this whole time. I don't even know if she'll trust me after all this time." 

Before Daiki was able to answer him, they heard a loud thump behind the door. Ryosuke opened it immediately to find Rio on the floor and Amu helping her  up in the process. 

"Ouch." Rio said, rubbing her knees after tripping over the floor. 

"S-Sorry." Amu apologized. "But we just got back and didn't know where both of you were so we tried to find you..."

"How much did you two hear?" Ryosuke asked. 

"Pretty much everything." Rio answered, now glaring at the man in front of her. She took a deep breath before running towards him. "YOU KNEW THIS WHOLE TIME?!" She yelled, grabbing Ryosuke by his jacket.

"I-I'M SORRY-" Ryosuke began but was cut off by Rio's sudden hug. She held him tightly as she began to sob. 

"You knew..." She repeated herself again, this time much softer. 

"We'll uhh.. give the both of you some space." Daiki suggested, hinting to Amu that they should leave for a bit. After the two hurried out of the room, Ryosuke pulled Rio tighter into his frame, caressing her hair as she soaked his shoulder with tears.

"I was afraid you wouldn't love me when you find out who I really am." Rio explained. 

"There's no way I wouldn't love you." Ryosuke assured her. "I'm sorry for hiding the fact that I knew. I should've told you sooner but I was afraid too." 

Rio sighed. "We're idiots."

"Love makes you do crazy things." Ryosuke agreed, pulling away from her to give her a kiss. "And I don't mind doing crazy things once in a while. Afterall, just you changing your name has brought me to you." 

"Mmm. I guess you're right."
