Noraebang
Three Sides of A HeartYun-ho and Jae-joong find themselves going to a private noraebang. Yun-ho managed to call in to one about an hour away and reserve a spot for the two of them with the promises of no invasive guests or staff. Jae-joong was just glad to be able to leave his home and celebrate. This will be his first time celebrating without alcohol, drugs, or ; the old him wouldn't even consider this a celebration, but the new Jae-joong is glad to have fun while being sober. The pair get into Jae-joong's luxury car with Yun-ho driving the two of them an hour away to celebrate.
"Thank you for celebrating with me." Jae-joong says with a smile.
The city passes the two of them by as the sunsets, it gives off a warm glow and causes Jae-joong's beauty to be enhanced. At least in Yun-ho's mind, he can't stop stealing glances at the rock star as they cruise away to the next district.
"It's no problem. We both achieved big things today." Yun-ho says with a small grin.
Jae-joong nods his head in agreement. He falls silent as he thinks about his own mother. It had felt a bit surreal to him, to hear her voice after four years, but she didn't sound mad, angry, or upset. Did time real repair the damage his drunken self caused? He can't help but worry about what will happen when they meet for lunch tomorrow. He can't help picturing his Mom being in some tragic shape physically. What if she has cancer? What if she is blind now? What if she is suddenly in a wheelchair? He can't calm down his aching 'what ifs' as Yun-ho cruises the car along the highway. Jae-joong now mentally beats himself up for not checking in on his mother in four years. What type of son does that?
Yun-ho can sense Jae-joong is having troubling thoughts. He has came to learn some of Jae-joong's body language. For a public figure, Jae-joong was quite easy to read if you were looking hard enough. Yun-ho can tell troubling thoughts are invading Jae-joong's mind by how his hands curl up then uncurl into fists. He also nibbles on the inside of his cheek which causes his dimples to be exposed. Yun-ho doesn't have time to fully assess Jae-joong, but he knows he should say or do something to calm him down.
"Do you think the noraebang will throw me out if I sing too much tonight?" Yun-ho jokingly teases.
Jae-joong snaps out of his thoughts, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion, "Why would they throw you out? We aren't going to be drunk."
Yun-ho chuckles lightly, "For my terrible singing."
Jae-joong shakes his head and lets out a loud 'tsk' noise, "Terrible singing? Yun-ho, you were one of the best trainees. Your vocals and your dance skills were one of the biggest topics of envy."
Yun-ho lets out a soft chortle, "Bull! I definitely wasn't the topic of envy."
Jae-joong sits up in his passenger seat. He can't believe how humble Yun-ho is being right now. Jae-joong knew more than anyone else that Yun-ho should have debuted. Jae-joong is still confused to this day as of why he didn't make the cut. He and Yun-ho were highly loved and respected as trainees. Jae-joong knew people envy Yun-ho because his ex-group members would talk about. They would make snarky comments and laugh, grateful they didn't have to be in group with Yun-ho and Jae-joong. They claimed to be in a group with two star trainees was only asking for favoritism.
"You were Yun-ho. From your dance to your raps to your singing, most of the male trainees were jealous. We all figured that you would have debuted first before all of us."
Yun-ho shakes his head as he doubts Jae-joong's memory. He doesn't recall any of the other trainees being jealous of his talents. Yun-ho didn't even believe his talents were enough. That is why he hadn't debut, he figured. He simply wasn't good enough and it's a dream he needs to stop chasing. Yun-ho shakes his head as he brushes the thoughts off, he keeps his eyes on the road.
"Anyway, my Mother is still insisting I go on a date with those women you mentioned." Yun-ho says with a light chuckle.
Jae-joong keeps his cool even though he feels a slight pang of jealousy, "Well... I think you should too. It's a bit pathetic to be this old and looking after someone just as old as you."
Yun-ho's eyebrows quirked up, "Ouch, I thought you said we were married."
Jae-joong can't help the smirk that forms on his lips. He did joke that they were married and Yun-ho hadn't forgotten.
"Well, I say you can have an affair. It is more interesting than watching me drink smoothies and play League."
"Is that what you're always doing on your computer? I was starting to worry from all the anguished grunts coming from your room."
Jae-joong throws his head back against the car seat and groans into the palms of his own hands, "Don't be a ert, Yun-ho. This is exactly why you need to go on a date with one of the women."
Yun-ho chuckles at Jae-joong's reaction and shrugs as he prepares to exit the highway, "If you couldn't tell, I am a bit of a workaholic, women don't like that. I am sure they will be done with me when they find out, I won't schedule for a second date."
Jae-joong sighs deeply, "You won't even try, what a shame. I mean, I get to keep more of you to myself so... I can't complain too much."
Yun-ho's face slightly heats up from Jae-joong's flirt. His eyes quickly glancing in the rock star's direction as he turns on his signal to get off the highway. Jae-joong has the smile of the Cheshire cat on his lips. He feels no shame or embarassment in his easy flirt. He is simply soaking in the tint of Yun-ho's cheeks and the tips of his ears. Jae-joong is definitely planning on having lots of fun tonight and he is glad he will be sober as he does so. He is prepared to take on Yun-ho's heart tonight or at least
