The Arrival

"Okay..." She said, "As long as there're foods for me"

It was rather easy to convince Hyewon. Yujin has prepared a long explanation and proposal for Hyewon but Daniel laugh at her and said, "She won't be impressed with that!" His eyes disappeared as he laugh his heart out, "You only need to bring some food and she'll gladly become your subordinate"

So Yujin went to buy a cake, dress comfortably, and go along with Daniel to pick her sister from airport. 

Kang Hyewon, Duke Kang's youngest daughter. A strange kid, that's what she know, Yujin barely talk to her. The only memory she had about Hyewon is how that girl save her from being bullied. 

She's been bullied by other Prince for the identity she had. Magically, no one knows how and why. That day Hyewon stand up for her, hiding little Yujin behind her back and said, "Being a Prince doesn't mean you can't be pretty! Girl can be prince too!"

It was inspirational and unexpected... Don't you think?

Sadly, they're not talking to each other after the incident. Even in the noble family gathering, Yujin always stay inside her room meanwhile Hyewon wondering around for food. 

When Yujin turn 12, she heard that Hyewon was send to United Kingdom to study more about healthcare and medical system.

Now the same Kang Hyewon who protect her 10 years ago, sit right next to her.

"You've grown tall I see..." Hyewon said, "And beautiful as well"

Yujin blushed at the compliment, "Y-yeah.."

"So you're in?" Daniel grin at Hyewon, "You know we got to do this right?"

Hyewon nod, "But... Do you think this will work?" She look at Yujin "You're still young, Ahn Yujin. Finding an ally before the King let go of the throne, they'll think that you're rebelling against him"

Yujin went silent for a while. She knows the risk, that's why she's doing it secretly. She'll talk to Kaeun occasionally about it but other than that... No one knows. 

"I know," Yujin simply answer, "But that doesn't mean we didn't prepare ourself for the risk"

At Yujin's glance, Daniel nod and continue the talk, "We've been doing this in secret, slowly but sure we got several powerful people from under world"

Hyewon's reaction was slow but the way she did it was rather comical. It is enough to make Yujin laughing.

"Are you guys crazy?!" Hyewon snapped at them, "Underworld are prohibited area! The King, your own father banned everyone from going there!"

"Because it is banned" Yujin said, "Because they won't allow us going there, that's why we decide to build a connection with them"

"Ahn Yujin, you better not kidding me..." Hyewon said, "You're going to make yourself expelled from becoming the next ruler"

Yujin smile at the glimpse of concern in Hyewon's words and expression, "It'll be worth the risk Hyewon, I promise" she smile, "They might be rebellious but I know their loyalty is better than anyone, even you"

"Are you sure...?"

"Yes, I am"

Hyewon seems so doubtful about this. Underworld had become 'curse' for their Kingdom, yet the Prince herself, Ahn Yujin decide to break the barrier and open the way back to that cursed place. She was about to cancle what she said until something ticked inside her mind,

"You've got your question, Hyewon?" Daniel said, patiently waiting for his little sister to say something.

"Why...?" She finally got their attention back, "Why you're doing this Yujin? Why so persistent about this?"

Daniel took a glance at Yujin, waiting for an affirmative nod. After finally got her permission, Daniel answer the question, 

"I found a small crack within the King's administration..." He sigh, "There is a sign of corruption"

Hyewon was taken aback, looking back and forth at Yujin and Daniel for a while, "What? Just now?"

"A couple of month after you leave exactly" Daniel said, pulling out a stack of paper from his bag, "You can see there are some odd or strange things happened all this years and no one seems brave enough to point that out..."
