After four months, things at Jungkook’s new job was looking up. Jungkook was able to earn a raise from all his hard work and most of the workers began to take notice of it. Taehyung was adapting to the job well alongside his best friend, but things back at his grandfather’s company was still hanging on by a thread. No one had seen Jungkook’s grandfather anywhere, no sign from the relatives or his assistants. Just about everyone who had worked in the company was hunting his grandfather with torches and pitchforks. Jungkook had to keep it low for a while, but his focus was as long as his family was safe, he was doing what was important.

“A cup of coffee is just what I needed.” Taehyung breathed out, dropping his body on the chair.

“Your coffee contains mostly creamer, you need to lessen on the sweet side.”
Jungkook chuckled at the blonde

“Oh please, drinking black coffee straight up feels like my soul is being taken away from me.”
Taehyung had closed his eyes, dropping his head back, face towards the ceiling.

A couple murmurs and laughs made there way in the rooms. A couple women walked in the break room, waving to the two.

“Hello Ladies!” Taehyung waved.

“Taehyung, when are you going to treat us to barbecue?” one of the girls asked followed by a small giggle,

“ When did I promise that? You ladies should find yourself a single man to treat you to barbecue.” Taehyung wagged his finger

“What about you Jungkook? Are you seeing anyone? I don’t see a ring on that hand.” One of the girls implied.

Jungkook glanced down at his hand. Of course Jungkook hadn’t worn his wedding band around at all. His girlfriend Daehyun would be upset about the whole situation as well.
He didn’t even know where he last placed his wedding band.

“ Sorry ladies, I’m a married man.” Jungkook laughed awkwardly before downing the rest of the coffee and tossing the disposable cup away in the trash.

The rest of the entire day at work. Jungkook couldn’t help but wonder where did he put the ring? After being evicted out of their old house, it was probably long gone and taken away with the rest of their belongings. He recalled back at home, Yeri would always wear the ring at all times. Had Yeri ever felt noticed he never had worn it around the house? Well, it’s not like it mattered to him. The title of marriage was only a label and nothing else. For some reason, this time, he had been thinking about the term more and more.

Once he got back home, he found Yeri teaching his son basic numbers, preparing him for his first year in Kindergarten which started two months. Yeri had a very creative way of teaching her son, always implementing puppets or drawing. Jungkook walked into the living room, eying his family quietly. It was astonishing how much Jaehyun was growing up to look like Jungkook more each day, and that he had Yeri’s eyes. It felt like just last week the two had brought this small child to their home.  A smile crept on his face as he sat on the sofa watching his son trying to repeat the shapes back to the dolls.

“ Hey. You’re back early from work.” Yeri had noticed soon as her husband entering the room.

“Yeah. I was released early off work. You have your hands pretty full I see.”

“Yeah but Jaehyun is getting more at the hang of his numbers now. Isn’t that right?” She looked back at her son, pinching his nose.

“Dad! I can count up to ten! Mom’s been teaching me so I can be a tax consultant like you.”

Jungkook couldn’t help but smile back lovingly at his son. Yeri stood up, trying to get her balance. He noticed how Yeri’s eyes bags were pretty darker than usual and how her complexion was absolutely pale.

“Are you alright?” He questioned,

“Yeah, I just haven’t been able to get much sleep. I’m going to go and make myself some hot tea, do you want some?” She began making her way to the kitchen.

“Uh sure.” He eyed concerned.

She walks to the kitchen and Jungkook stood up to follow her from behind. She tried her best to maintain her balance and began warming the water onto the Kettle. Jungkook leaned his body against the doorframe and just stared at her quietly. He noticed she had worn one of his jackets he never really worn a lot, Usually he would be upset if she touched his belongings but was she sick?

Jungkook approached her from behind, she had reached up the cabinets, trying to grab two cups in front of them. But because of her butter fingers, she accidentally knocked one of the cups out of the shelf. She gasped, taking a step back, but Luckily Jungkook was taller than her, and a closer proximity to catch the cups from behind her.
Both his arms were closed her in side by side. She opened her eyes to see his hands catch the cups, turning around, she looked up seeing her husband right there, face to face, looking down at her.

“Thank you Jungkook.” She spoke up shy.

“Yeah… No problem.”

His body was so close to hers. Their bodies were so against each other and Jungkook seemed to have no intentions to back away for some reason, he stared down at her as he slowly put the cups down on the counter.
