hey guys, i said this a while back, but i'm going to start working on planning the story now. everyone who has currently applied has been accepted (though i might have to change a few things to fit the story better), and there's one applicant left who has a WIP, but i've contacted her about it.

so here's the deal. i really wanted to fit every applicant and their love interests into the story, but there are just too many applicants for district 3. there are a few paths that this story can take if i incorporate the extra characters, but it depends on a lot of dynamic elements. i'm going to wait a bit and then... maybe i can incorporate the other district 3 applicants into empty districts following the rules from the 'feb 23' update.

regardless, i just wanted to let yall know that things are going okay! this story is definitely happening, no matter how slow i am! that being said, i feel obligated to reveal some of my plan in apology for being absent for such a long time:

- there will only be one winner left alive, no twists

- there will be no rebellions in this story (though if yall really want to, i could always make a sequel applyfic uwu)

- i will be starting the story with the character teasers, right when they are being reaped (and if i am not able to incorporate the extra district 3 applicants into the stories, they will appear in the district 3 reaping teaser with a cameo as a thanks for applying)

that's all i really have to say today. again, thank you all so much for putting up with me!! i'm really sorry i left this story off for so long, but hopefully things will start looking up now uwu

hey everyone, the updates page was giving me major issues, so i just deleted the entire thing. i just wanted a cool updates page ;; why is aff like this...

anyway, i'm going to drop some news that might be good and also might be bad. i'm closing apps.

please don't freak out! if you're still working on your app and would like to submit your character, comment below or pm me! i will definitely give you the chance! it's just that i have enough characters to start the story, and if i don't start soon i'm going to lose all motivation.

but, since so many people applied to district 3/11, i'm going to have to change some people's districts. here's how it's going to go down:

- i'll pm you with a district that's currently empty

- you will probably have to change your character and love interest's genders

- if you want to come up with new backstories, you can do that!

- if you're uninspired, you can leave it up to me, and i'll try to give them the ending that you originally wanted.

tl;dr: i'm closing apps but giving extensions; if you get a pm from me, it's because i'm moving your character to a different district, and you might have to change their faceclaim

1. extensions until march 30. there's still time to apply if you really really want to!

2. everyone who's accepted makes it into the story, no questions asked.

i know i've changed the story so many times, but i think i'm going to make it a free-for-all. basic concept still applies (even districts only send girls, odd districts only send boys), but there each district can send more than one character >:)). i might make it so that the ultimately number becomes 24, but i haven't made up my mind about that yet.

there is only one plotline left that's empty, and that is district 12. if i don't get an application for 12, i might end up switching someone else to it, or i might make my own character... which is like, i thought ppl would apply to 12 because of the books, but i guess that's exactly why no one applied LMAO.
