the error of your ways

Description

Jinsoul was a thief and nothing more, far too good at what she did and far too careless for the complex, convoluted feelings that racked her simple mind and propelled her body.

At least it was fun. And that's all she cared about, really.

Foreword

art theft au. the lipsoul is kinda angsty, the yvesoul is... :-) they're rivals. cross-posted on ao3. rated T for leT's geT iT (almost mature but not quite)

this is the product of exams season when my brain desperately wanted to think of something other than what i had to study. also partly inspired by a gq article i read in august called ‘The Great Chinese Art Heist’ great read pls check it out

never expected myself to come out of my writing slump for a loona fic. i just love jinsoul...this is really just self-gratification. i will now promptly return to that slump. happy holidays to all! hope you enjoy, share this with all ur friends, comments always appreciated :)

Chapter 1: awww, yeah! you're back in the writing game and i am so, so happy! oh, god. this is amazing. you're amazing. whew. okay.
first off, wow, a lipsoulxyvesoul art thief au. i never knew i needed that. thank you so much for writing this.
second, i loved the characterization so much. especially, sooyoung's. a classy and educated art hoe who sleeps with her rival. okay, that's a super smart move. and third, jinsoul's conflict over wanting to keep jungeun somewhat happy but also subtly exacting her revenge on her unrequited love. ugh. that was so tasteful. jesus, you literally had me pulling out my hair at that part. this is so good. the concise writing style gets to me. it's amazing how you're able to flesh out this much details without making the story too long. it left me at the edge of my seat. overall, this was really good. thank you for writing it.
p.s. you're one of my fave fanfic writers in the pristin fandom so i'm really glad that you're back. i kinda associate you with minkyaebin bc no one can deny that you have a sort of magic with them but i'm super, super happy that you're writing loona too. i hope you have a happy new year! good luck with everything! ^^

First of all, as team Sooyoung, my head boils, but that's good, means the workpiece made an impact, right?

Your writings always bring fresh breezes to the fandom that the pairing resides, that's how much the quality you poured into your workpieces. Always beautiful and neat.

Sooyoung seems like someone who likes to hold grudges. I feel related as a person who shares the same birthday with her haha.

Second of all, It's not fair that you are sooyoung, an anthropology student, and we the readers are--to say the least, jinsoul, although we are in no level to be compared to her, the point is how could we know what is what --the things they took from the museums except to learn from you?

I know you're often being too critical to yourself but then again, I'm so proud of you!

Chapter 1: You wrote this really well.
'effortlessly riding the shock waves of the earthquake that was her life'
This just rounds it up really well
