#5. How you love to iron. Ironing. It’s that one thing you love to do so much. I always wake up with nice and fresh clothes ready to be worn to work. I always ask you why you like ironing. You always answer with the same thing every time. “Because I get to iron your clothes, and doing something for you makes me happy.” You’re always a kind and gentle girlfriend. I can’t ask for more because you already gave me enough. _____ Monday: It’s another Monday. Just like any other Monday’s. The first day of the week. I was checking over the files until a knock was heard. “Come in,” I said and the door immediately opened. “Mrs.Kang, the CEO said to give you this file. He said to finish this and give it to him when you’re done. The deadline is next week.” A voice said and placed a file on my desk. “Yujin, why are you being so formal?” I chuckled and checked over the files Yujin just gave me. “I don’t know. You just look ‘more’ formal today.” Yujin said while doing quotation mark at the word “more”. I chuckled and answered, “Don’t I look formal everyday?” I close the folder and looked up at Yujin while smiling. “Pffft. You look more like a potato than a formal person.” Yujin laughed while I frowned. “Yah~You little-“ I was about to smack Yujin in the head until she said, “Your clothes looks straighter than usual! Please spare me.” Yujin said, but whispered the last part. “What do you mean?” I lowered my arm down and Yujin sat down in front of me. “I don’t know. It just looks straighter. Did you iron your clothes this morning?” Yujin asked and stared at the picture frame on the table. “No, I never do. Hyun always does all the ironing and stuff.” I shrugged and looked at the files again. “Maybe she put extra time and love on this outfit. I mean, it does look good on you and all.” Yujin smiled and stood up. I smiled unknowingly. “I bet you, your Wonyoungie would probably do the same.” I ‘winked’ while Yujin cringed. “Speaking of Wonyoungie, she’s calling. See ya Seulgi. Remember the files is due next week.” Yujin jumped happily and left. “This kid.” I chuckled and looked at my outfit. It does look straight and formal. Cute. “Would you like some help?” I walked over and looked at how professional you looked while ironing. I heard a chuckle. “No, Seul. Either one, you’re going to burn your hand. Or two, you are going to burn the shirt. So, I wouldn’t recommend my bear ironing. It’s too dangerous for this precious bear.” You tapped my nose and smiled. “As you say.” I sighed and went back to the bed. I kept switching the channel, trying to find something interesting. I stopped at a random channel and it happens to be Bob Ross, painting on a canvas with his utensils. The quality wasn’t good, probably because it was filmed back in the old days, but the painting is. “Babe?” I called out, eyes still glued on the TV. “Hmm?” You hummed. “Why do you like ironing?” I asked and looked over to you. I saw you smiled. You stopped and stood there, thinking. “Because it’s fun.” You shrugged, still satisfied with your answer. “Why do you like ironing MY clothes?” I emphasized the word ‘my’. Again, you stood there thinking. “Hmm..because doing something for you makes me happy.” You smiled widely. I blushed and looked away. I already knew your answer, but I just wanted to ask you again. To see if your answer is different, but it’s the same every time. That’s good, because you are happy to be with me and I am VERY happy to be with you. You love to do things for me. You know so much things I don’t and I know so much things you don’t. But that’s okay. That’s how relationships work. You learn from your other half and work your way through together. That’s what being in love is, right? Not all relationships is about rainbows and unicorns. Of course, there is always ups-and-downs, rain and sunshine, mad and happy. But we work through them. We hold hands and walk down the path together. We will always walk down this very, very, very long path because our love is forever. _____ Wednesday: I came home after a long day of work.
