Moon Byul-Yi's POV

I my phone as I sat on the edge of my bed. I placed it beside me before I slightly bent to tie up my bootlaces. "Hello, Byul-Yi. You have thirty missed calls, ten voice messages, and fifteen unread texts over the last few hours," Siri notified me. I spontaneously grabbed my phone. I scrolled through my seemingly endless notifications. My heart beat faster at the sight of her name. Yong. I let the voice messages play as I walked to my drawer.

I could barely make out the first three voice messages. The rest were unfortunately mere statics. I thought of my wife and my son even more when I caught on the endless cries towards the end of the third voice message. I called her many times after that but my calls went straight to her voicemail. I suddenly heard a deafening crash coming from the outside. It was followed by some heavy thuds. I quickly holstered my gun. I rushed to my front door.
