Aren't you forgetting something?
Flower ShowerEunbi groaned and snuggled closer to the body next to hers, craving for more of the warmth surrounding her. The dancer inhaled deeply, and a sweet fragrance filled her nostrils, making her happily sigh.
She lazily opened her eyes and her vision took its time to focus to the dim light coming from the window. Eunbi moved a little, mind still foggy from sleep, and allowed the memories of the previous night to come, one by one.
Ah, that week had been a tough one; she was only getting worse and worse and they wanted to do the surgery and all she wanted was Yerin. That was all she wanted.
A small smile came to her face; she got what she wanted.
“Eunbi-yah?”
At the sound of Yerin's raspy voice, she raised her head and smiled. “Good morning, eonni.”
The older dancer blinked a few times and then, as if she finally realized where she was, Yerin pulled back, sitting up on the bed. With a soft huff, Eunbi complained at the loss of the dancer’s touch.
Yerin gasped. “You okay?!”
Eunbi frowned and slowly nodded.
“Y-you looked so bad yesterday, now you’re talking—what?”
Closing her eyes, Eunbi tilted her head to the side, feeling the soft pillow underneath her cheek. “I don’t feel bad.”
“Alright, but, um, what about the flowers? Are you breathing okay? Oh, my God, I should call the nurse, shouldn’t I? Where’s that button? Should I just scream for her? Or, or should--”
“Eonni.”
Yerin’s ramble was dryly cut by Eunbi’s voice. The older dancer swallowed and looked down to Eunbi, who had a very annoyed look on her eyes. “Y... yes?”
“I’m tired. I want to sleep.”
“Oh, okay, um, I’ll—”
“Where do you think you’re going,” Eunbi whined and wrapped her fingers around Yerin’s wrist before she could leave the bed. “We’ve been apart for far too long already. How am I supposed to sleep if you go?”
To say that Yerin blushed would be an understatement; the girl’s face heated up so bad that she thought she would spontaneously combust. “Okay,” she exhaled and lowered her body down.
As soon as she reached the mattress, Eunbi pulled her closer and returned to their previous position, sighing contently. Yerin felt her heart swell; , Eunbi was just perfect, wasn’t she? The older dancer smiled and nuzzled her nose on Eunbi’s head.
They were silent for a short while.
“Aren’t you forgetting anything, eonni?”
Yerin frowned, a little confused. “What do you mean?”
“I… I got better, didn’t I?”
“You did…?”
Eunbi let out an annoyed huff. She pulled back and Yerin’s heart skipped a beat; Eunbi was pouting.
“Weren’t you supposed to do something when I got better?”
The younger’s voice sounded upset, but Yerin couldn’t help but smirk at those words. “Oh, was I?”
Gaping, Eunbi slapped Yerin’s arms lightly. “Just forget it,” she mumbled and started to turn her back to Yerin, but the older was quicker.
Yerin raised her upper body and placed her forearm on the other side of Eunbi’s head, caging her. The younger’s eyes widened cutely and Yerin’s smirk turned into a grin. “Are you sure you want me to forget it, Eunbi-yah?”
Eunbi stared at her, surprised and embarrassed. She slowly shaked her head and Yerin chuckled.
The older girl lowered her head and Eunbi’s breath hitched. Yerin’s lips hovered above Eunbi’s for a long, tortuous second and, as if nothing bad had ever happened, they kissed.
They kissed slowly, savoring the moment like they had all the time in the world. Yerin’s lips were soft and the pressure they made on Eunbi’s mouth together with the ghost of Yerin’s tongue made the younger girl moan softly into the kiss.
It felt amazing, but what really got both of them lost was how much emotion there was.
Weeks of an intense chaos, filled with fears and pain and black roses were finally over. It was over, and they were together.
“I think I love you, Hwang Eunbi,” Yerin whispered against Eunbi’s mouth.
The younger girl smiled.
“I think I do, too, Jung Yerin.”
Ah, Eunbi sighed. Finally.
