DARA'S POV

Wow!!

 

What a great place. Surely, this place is the place I want to go.

 

"Yah Dara! Stop gaping! Others may think that it's your first time here."

 

"But it's really my first time Jisoo.."

 

I can see the shock on the face of my best friend.

 

"What the... You're a book worm, but it's your first time to be here at National Library?"

 

We continued walking and let the guard checks our bag.

 

"As if I have time to come here my dear best friend."

 

"Well, it's your fault, your killing yourself by working too hard. You're not a mother of 10 kids Dara. You only need to feed yourself."

 

I just let my best friend blabber everything that she wants.

 

"Yeah Yeah... So here's the sermon again. You're the one who looks like a mother now Jisoo.. hahaha...."

 

I saw how Jisoo pouted on what I say but then I just cling my arms at her, and goes around the library.

 

"Yeah Dara.. It's so boring here, can't we just go to the mall. Let's just watch a movie. I'll pay."

 

 

"No... I want here... Jisoo ah... Let's just live here."

 

 

Now is my turn to pout. Jisoo laugh hysterically

 

 

"Yah! I'm trying to be cute here."

 

"Haha.... I'm sorry best friend, I'm not just used to you pouting intentionally."

 

"Whatsoever..."

 

I walk fast while Jisoo my dear best friend still continues laughing while following me... Really... this girl...

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Princess"

 

 

 

What's that? I look to my right side and left side but all of the people are busy chatting and reading.

 

 

 

 

 

"Princess"

 

 

 

Who's that?

 

I still continue looking at different sides looking for who owns that voice.

 

 

 

"Dara! What are you looking at? You look insane."

 

 

I look at Jisoo. I don't know why, but somehow I feel cold all of a sudden.

 

 

"Jisoo ah, did you hear that?"

 

 

 

"Hear what?" Jisoo asks me confusely.

 

 

"The voice of a woman calling princess."

 

 

Jisoo looks at me in my eyes. 

 

 

"Dara that will not do to me. You're not a good actress."

 

No I'm not playing around here. I really heard a voice. 

 

 

"But Jisoo.."

 

"Okay, I will not make fun of you best friend, okay?"

 

 

Jisoo smiles at me and hold my hands. 

 

 

"Wait why are you so cold? Are you alright Dara?"

 

 

I don't know why... but I feel my body is too cold, seems I was put in a freezer.

 

 

"Yah Dara? Are you hungry?"

 

 

I can see how Jisoo worries. I then smile

 

 

"No. I'm fine. Maybe I'm not just used to a place which is air conditioned."

 

Jisoo sighs knowing that I'm alright.

 

 

"next time, tell me if you're not fine. okay?"

 

"Hmm.."

 

I nod. I'm happy having a friend like Jisoo.

 

 

But that voice... Who's that... 

 

No... There's nothing.

 

What are you thinking Dara? Maybe I'm just hallucinating out of too much thinking.

 

 

"Yah Dara, wait for me, I'll just answer my phone, Dad is calling."

 

"Ah yes... no problem, I'll just wait here."

 

 

I sat on one of the chairs near the big window. I don't know why but I still feel cold. I think the coldness is eating my body.

 

 

"Princess..."

 

 

That voice again...

 

 

No Dara you're just hallucinating

 

 

Yeah, I'm just hallucinating...

 

 

"Princess..."

 

 

I immediately turn my head.

 

 

No... It's not hallucnation

 

 

There's really someone calling..

 

But who? 

 

 

I look at everybody but all have their agenda.

 

 

"Princess..."

 

 

 

I look to the direction where the voice came from. It's upstairs...

 

 

My heart beats so fast...

 

 

 

"Princess..."

 

 

What should I do?

 

 

 

I look at Jisoo, she's still busy talking to her phone.

 

 

 

"Princess.."

 

 

I know I'm afraid. But there's something inside which tells me to follow that voice.

 

Without telling to Jisoo I walk upstairs.

 

 

"Princess..."

 

 

The voice leads me to a door which is not noticeable

 

 

I breathed deeply and open the door.

 

 

I saw cabinets full of books and dust.

 

 

"Princess.."

 

 

I was about to step once again when realization hits me.

 

 

Why did I follow that voice?

 

 

For Gos's sake Dara... It's not a voice of human

 

 

Yeah that's a voice of woman, but how come that I'm the only one who can hear it.

 

I step backward and about to leave when the door immediately close.

 

 

I ran toward the door, and tried to open it...

 

 

"Help! Someone is here! Please open the door!"

 

I continued asking for help.

 

 

"Jisoo... Please open the door! Jisoo help!!!"

 

 

I'm on the verge of crying when coldness cover once again my body

 

 

"Princess"

 

I can hear clearly the voice of a woman.. I know that she's only at my back. But I can't move.

 

I'm afraid

 

What if, if she's a ghost?

 

OR what if, she's a monster who will eat me?

 

 

"Princess you're already here at last."

 

 

I try to calm myself and close my eyes. Little by little I turn where the voice came.

 

"Don't be afraid princess, open your eyes."

 

 

I breath deeply and slowly open my eyes.

 

 

"Hello my princess.."

 

 

I was shocked to see a beautiful lady standing in front of me, no... that definition is not appropriate for her. She's a Goddess

 

She's wearing a long white gown... She was covered with light and smiling at me..

 

 

"W-Who are you?"

 

 

The Goddess then bows at me...

 

 

 

"It's my pleasure to meet you Princess... Lee Hi, the angelus."

 

 

"A-Angelus? W-What are you? Are you a ghost?"

 

 

This girl, Lee Hi smiled at me innocently. 

 

"I'm not a ghost Princess. As I said I am the Angelus who guides you since then."

 

 

"I-I don't know what you're saying. A-And I-I'm not Princess. I'm Dara."

 

Yeah this Goddess is just confused, I'm Dara not Princess..

 

 

"You can't escape your destiny Princess, you'll be the princess no matter what."

 

Destiny? What is this Goddess thinking about.

 

She looks serious now.

 

No... I should be out of here.. I think talking to her will lead me to bad situation.

 

 

I immediately hold the knob of the door trying to open it again.

 

 

"Yah!!!! Help me! Help me please! Open the door!"

 

 

"Princess it's already time.."

 

 

I saw the Goddess coming nearer to me.

 

 

"Don't come near me!"

 

 

"Princess you have no choice but to accept your destiny."

 

 

"Don't call me Princess! I told you, my name is DARA!!!"

 

I'm really crying out of frustration and fear. It's my fault. Why do I even follow that voice.

 

 

"This will be your journey Princess. Can't you see the symbol in your wrist?"

 

 

What symbol is she talking about? No... Dara... Don't listen to her..

 

Come on door please open up.

 

 

As I about to punch the door out of helplessness, I saw the birthmark in my wrist glowing in white and dark color. I stumbled as I saw it.

 

 

"W-What's this???"

 

I horridly look at Lee Hi

 

 

"You... what are you doing to me??"

 

 

Coldness and warm is covering my body...

 

"It's your destiny..."

 

 

No... My heart hurts, I feel like my body is freezing at the same time burning.. I saw my wrist continue emits two color of lights.

 

 

I was helplessly lying on the floor bearing the pain I feel.

 

 

"It's time..."

 

 

I heard her voice for last time. 

 

I feel like I'm about to lose consciousness... but,

 

 

 

"JISOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

 

 

 

 

 

 

JISOO'S POV

 

"Yeah dad, don't worry I'll be home. Yeah bye."

 

I immediately hang up my phone.

 

 

"JISOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

 

 

 

I immediately turned my head.

 

"What was that?"

 

 

I look at everyone, but all are busy on their own agenda.

 

 

Maybe I'm just overthinking.

 

"Wait? Why am I here?"

 

 

Why would I go to a library. Am I out of my mind?

 

 

"What the..."

 

I'm about to leave the library when a chair near the window caught my eyes. I went near it and saw a book entitled "Lost Memories"

 

 

Why do I feel like, I was with someone a while ago?

 

 

I don't know why... But something's feel heavy as I look at this book.

 

 

"Yah! Jisoo yah! what are you thinking? Tsk... You're really insane. First, you come here to the library which is not you. For God's sake boredom will kill me here. Second, why would you come here alone?"

 

 

I was stopped for a moment.

 

 

"Am I really alone awhile ago?"

 

Why there's something telling me that I'm not.

 

I just sighed heavily, I'll be insane later, if I will stay here longer. I look at the book I was holding.

 

 

 

"I think, there's no harm, if I will read some book sometimes.."

 

"Lost Memories..."
