One step at a time, with strides getting shorter with every metre she pushed through the thick snow and wind that pushed against her, occasionally forcing her to lose balance and topple face first into the snow, but she was determined to keep going. She promised that she’d wait for him to come back, even in the heaviest of snowstorms and this was simply keeping her promise as foolish as it seemed now. Step by step, she forced her tired legs to continue on. Her strong mentality overcame how physically exhausted she was, but the storm was strong.

An unexpected gust of wind blew hard against Dara’s tired body, and unable to resist any longer, she fell backwards onto the accumulating surface of snow. She couldn’t feel her legs, and her eyes closed, her eyelashes covered with frost. Her mind screamed at her to get up because he would be waiting there, under the largest evergreen tree that they had said their farewells fifteen years ago. They promised each other that on this day they would meet again. Her eyes stung from the cold wind, and her face was scorned by the ice droplets that constantly whipped past her face. She lay there as motionless as a corpse. She forced her eyes open when she felt strong hands lifting her weightless body off the ground, but her neck was stiff. All she could see were footprints in the snow being quickly re-covered by fresh blankets of fluff that unendingly rained from the gray sky before she completely lost consciousness.

 A/N: In a way, this story will relate to my past experiences and how I've grown and learned from them. It shows how ineffective living in the past is despite it's preciousness. I chose Dara and Wooyoung sort of out of random, and I'm not a huge fan of 2NE1 but yeah. If you disagree with any pairings that I make within this fanfic, I'm sorry, it's not like I highly support them except for maybe Nichkun and Victoria. I love the snow a lot, so why not make it my reucurring setting? I hope you all enjoy reading this, and I'd love to read any comments you have ^^ -Skye
