haseul felt someone nudging her arm. she let out a groan and opened her eyes, looking around. surely enough, kahei was sitting upright on the bed next to her.

"humans require five to six cycles of sleep and you slept through six, please wake up." kahei was saying, still tapping haseul's arm.

"i'm awake, kahei..." haseul mumbled, stretching slightly before sitting up. "how long have you been up for?"

"i was fully charged two hours ago." kahei said with a small smile. "yeojin tried to wake you up, but i told her that you had not slept enough yet. she is now waiting in the living room."

haseul suddenly gasped and grabbed her phone, checking the time.

"kahei, we're supposed to be taking her to yerim's!"

haseul jumped out of bed, grabbing the nearest items of clothing before she turned to her girlfriend.

"go make sure she's ready, i'll be out in a minute."

kahei nodded before she left the bedroom. yeojin was still on the couch watching tv.

"is she awake?" yeojin asked. "i'm gonna be late otherwise."

"haseul has now had her six cycles of sleep and is ready for the day." kahei said. "are you ready to go?"

yeojin nodded before frowning. "you only stopped me from waking her up so she could sleep..."

"haseul stayed up very late last night. humans need to have a certain amount of time recharging for all their systems to run optimally." kahei said, watching as the small girl grimaced.

"sometimes i forget you're a robot." yeojin mumbled.

"a robot with feelings." kahei tilted her head slightly. "haseul does not like to talk about me being a robot."

"yeah, i know." yeojin said before she turned the tv off, got up off the couch and approached kahei. "can you carry me on your back again?"

kahei quickly bent down with a nod and yeojin climbed on, laughing and screaming with joy when kahei started zooming around the living room. eventually, haseul came out and saw them.

"we're leaving now, come on, text yerim and tell her you're coming!" haseul called as she opened the front door.

kahei instantly zoomed through the open door and over to the car before she bent down to let yeojin off her back. they all got in the car, haseul driving, kahei in the passenger seat and yeojin in the backseat.

"so, what are you and yerim gonna do?" haseul asked.

yeojin shrugged. "she said chaewon and hyejoo are there, so we're probably gonna watch movies and then maybe to go the park."

"hyejoo's going to be there?" haseul gasped. "she's so adorable, i just want to pick her up and squish her and put her in my pocket and--"

"haseul, stop! that's embarrassing!" yeojin groaned, kicking the back of haseul's seat. "why did mom have to leave me with you?"

"because i'm your big sister and you're stuck with me whilst mom's on vacation." haseul said, laughing before she pulled up outside yerim's house. "we're here! can i see hyejoo?"

"no." yeojin grumbled as she started to get out. "bye, kahei. haseul, don't be embarrassing."

"wait!" kahei suddenly dashed out of the car before bending down. "i'll take you."

yeojin laughed. "you don't have to, but okay!"

she climbed up onto the robot's back and kahei zoomed over to the door before knocking. a few seconds later, yerim answered and there was an excited squeal.

"yeojin! you brought kahei!" yerim squeaked. "kahei, i missed you!"

"i missed you too, yerim." kahei said with a smile as she let yeojin down from her back.

"is hyejoo there?!" haseul yelled from the car.

"hi haseul! she's inside!" yerim yelled. 

kahei glanced up at the window to see hyejoo stood with chaewon, they waved at haseul who started squealing.

"haseul, shut up!" yeojin whined before turning to kahei. "go take her somewhere else or she's gonna get out of the car."

kahei nodded. "have a nice time, yeojin. goodbye, yerim."

kahei headed back to the car and got in.

"where do you want to go?" haseul asked.

kahei stared at haseul for a moment, going through all their memories together, trying to find a place she knew made haseul happy before she came across one.

"the cafe in the park." kahei said.

"good choice." haseul said, smiling before she started the car again, driving to the park.

"are you going to have coffee? it's important for humans to stay charged up." kahei frowned.

"you're too precious." haseul giggled. "i'll have coffee, and then we can go home and watch a movie, is that okay?"

kahei nodded, watching haseul drive for a moment before she felt a familiar warm sensation. kahei wasn't sure when she developed feelings, her creators hadn't originally meant for her to get feelings, she was just supposed to be a maid for a rich family, but when kahei started acting more human, they let her go. that was how kahei found haseul. it had taken haseul a short while to understand that kahei was a robot with feelings, but eventually she saw past it and got to know kahei and somehow ended up falling for her. kahei liked haseul, a lot. she had the most feelings when she looked at haseul.

"i love you." kahei said, reaching to hold haseul's hand.

"i love you too." haseul said, squeezing kahei's hand.

haseul made kahei happy, and that was all that mattered.
