The pain swells up inside me

When I think of how many I have to protect

I feel like something’s dying inside me

And it always has that effect

I wish being an angel

Wasn’t such a pain

It feels like I’m being strangled

My heart feels at strain

Tears are always hidden

In order to not hurt or bruise

But my wounds start to widen

And I don’t know what to choose

To stay by their side

Protecting them all the way

Or make that big sacrifice

And say that “Nothing is okay”

To turn over their smile

To darken their day

Or run away a mile

Wish for every thing to be okay and pray

Confusion is all I see

Through out the happiness and sorrow.

Why does this always happen to me?

Should I wait for tomorrow?

To see if it’s a better day

To see if flowers bloom and shine,

Or should I take it all away

With the painful feelings of mine.

My thoughts of despair

Should I talk about it?

Or shouldn’t I share,

And forget all about it?

But it’s hard to fight again,

To live another day.

I don’t want to hurt my friends…

My family… the ones I love…

So what should I say?
