Chapter 6: Meanie
TrioAfter classes Wonwoo headed to the library so he could start reading on his lessons, and on his way there he remembered what his cousin Jun told him earlier in class.
"I can't believe I even offered to help him!" shouted Jun angrily "Offered what?" asked Wonwoo confused "I offered to help Minghao" said Jun matter of factly "And who is this Minghao?" asked Wonwoo "Jeonghan-hyung''s cousin" replied Jun "Your friends with a Yoon?" asked Wonwoo shocked "No...not anymore" replied Jun "So you were friends with a Yoon?" Wonwoo asked again "No I was not!" defended Jun "But you said "not anymore"" replied Wonwoo "Which means that you were friends with him" he continued "I was his friend for like... 15 minutes" defended Jun "You became friends with a Yoon for 15 minutes?" asked Wonwoo surprised "I didn't know he was a Yoon ok" defended Jun "Oh sure you didn't" replied Wonwoo mockingly "Hey its not like I have eyes that can tell me who's a Choi and who's a Yoon" defended Jun "Hmm well yeah I guess your right" admitted Wonwoo "Pluss he was Chinese" replied Jun "Wow who would have thouht that Jeonghan-hyung would also have a Chinese cousin" replied Wonwoo teasingly "Not funny Wonu" said Jun "HAHAHA ok ok but seriously tho" said Wonwoo "What a coincidence" he continued "Right" agreed Jun "But you know Wonu for some reason I feel sad" he continued "Sad?" asked Wonwoo "About what?" he continued "About Minghao being a Yoon" admitted Jun "I had a good feeling about him, like we were gonna be best friends. Too bad he's a Yoon" he continued "Don't you wanna be friends with a Yoon?" asked Wonwoo "After what happened between Seungcheol-hyung, Jeonghan-hyung and Joshua-hyung I think I don't wanna be friends with a Choi or Yoon" replied Jun "Its ok Jun" said Wonwoo "Im sure you'll have other Chinese friends that aren't a Yoon or Choi" he continued "YAHHHH WONWOO!!" shouted JunAfter that little chat Wonwoo told Jun that he was going to the library and it just so happens that Jun also had to go to the Dance Room so he could sign up for the Dance Club and so the two parted ways and just promised to meet at the school gate where DK and Joshua will be waiting for them. Once Wonwoo arrived at the Library he wenrt to the Head Librarian's desk first.
"Good afternoon Ms. Lee!" greeted Wonwoo
"Ahh Wonwoo Im so happy to see you!" replied Ms. Lee
"Im here to join the Library Club again" explained Wonwoo
"Wonwoo how many times do I have to tell you not to call me Ms. Lee" said Ms.Lee annoyed "Call me Ms. Sunny" she continued
"Why do you want me to call you Ms. Sunny again?" asked Wonwoo
"Because I was born in California and my english name is Sunny" replied Ms. Lee
"But your in Korea and your korean name is Lee Soon-kyu" defended Wonwoo "Pluss the name Sunny is a little hard to pronounce" he added
"Sunny is easy to pronounce Wonwoo" defended Ms. Lee
"Alright Ms. Sunny I was just joking" admitted Wonwoo which made Ms. Lee laugh
"Here you go Wonwoo" said Ms. Lee while handing him a long white paper "I heard the kids talking and they said they want you to be club president" she continued
"Me? President of the Library Club?" asked Wonwoo "That can never happen Ms. Sunny" he continued
"And why not?" asked Ms. Lee
"Because Im not cut out for that position" admitted Wonwoo
"Yes you are Wonwoo" said Ms. Lee "And besides you are going to be the eldest in the club" she admitted and it was true because Wonwoo has been in the Library Club for 3 years now
"I don't think Im ready" said Wonwoo sadly
"You just gotta believe in yourself darling" said Ms. Lee "Atleast just think about it" she continued
"Alright Ms. Lee I will" said Wonwoo leaving the Head Librarian's desk and started walking toward the bookshelves.After getting 5 books wich included Math, Science and English, Wonwoo took a seat and started reading. Wonwoo was a fast reader so in a matter of minutes he was done with the first book and was about to read the next one
"HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU MINGYU THAT YOU SHOULDN'T BE NOISY IN THE LIBRARY" shouted Ms. Lee which distracted Wonwoo. So he went to where Ms. Lee was and saw a really tall guy bowing his head out of embarassment
"What happened Ms. Sunny?" asked Wonwoo once he approached the scene
"Mingyu here is being nosiy again" said Ms. Lee while pointing to the tall guy
"Im sure there's a valid reason Ms. Sunny" said Wonwoo defending the tall guy
"And what reason would that be?" asked Ms. Lee and for a moment Wonwoo was caught off guard cause he didn't know what to say but then he saw the book the tall guy was reading
"He was reading the book entitled 1000 Jokes That Won't Fail To Make You Laugh am I correct?" asked Wonwoo and when Ms. Lee went to inspect the book the tall guy was reading and it was indeed that book.
"Alright then! Mingyu please be careful of the noise you make" warned Ms. Lee for the last time
"Yes Ms. Sunny" replied the tall guy who's name was Mingyu, and so Ms. Sunny walked of with both Wonwoo and Migyu following her withe their gaze.
"OMG! Thank you!" said Mingyu when he made sure Ms. Sunny was out of earshot
"Its no problem..." said Wonwoo
"Mingyu" replied Mingyu "My name is Mingyu" he continued
"Ahh yes Mingyu-ssi" said Wonwoo "May I ask why your reading that specific book here in the libarary?" he continued while looking the book in Mingyu's hand
"Ahh I was bored so I looked for an entertining book" said Mingyu
"But all books are entertaining" defended Wonwoo
"For you maybe, but not for me" said Mingyu
"Excuse me?" asked Wonwoo irritated
"Just so you know Im part of the Basketball Team" admitted Mingyu
"Wait, your captain is Choi Seungcheol right" asked Wonwoo
"You know my hyung?" asked Mingyu
"Yes I know you-" and Wonwoo wasn't able to finish what he was about to say because something Mingyu said suprised him "Wait he's your hyung?" he continued
"Well yeah Im a Choi" said Mingyu proudly
"Your a Choi?" asked Mingyu
"Yes. Im Choi Mingyu the youngest of the Choi siblings" Mingyu explained
"And you are?" asked Mingyu
"I'm Hong Wonwoo" said Wonwoo
"Wait as in Johua Hong kind of Hong?" asked Mingyu
"Yeah got a problem with that?" asked Wonwoo
"No. I don't" said Mingyu "Excuse me I have to go now" he continued and then left while Wonwoo was stuck staring at Mingyu
