A MiChaeng Angst.

Chaeyoung was sitting by a bench, staring out into the river that seemed to flow endlessly, the reflection of the purple sky and the setting sun on it, making it seem as if it was all a dream. Chaeyoung would always take walks with Mina down the river, but they never made it till the end, maybe today would be different. She was snapped out of her thoughts when a familiar pair of hands sanked around her waist and a familiar voice called her name.

"Chaeyoungie"

Mina called out, her voice as soft as an angel. Only god knows how much Chaeyoung missed that voice. Chaeyoung grabbed onto Mina's hands and turned around, tip toeing to give Mina a soft kiss on the lips. Mina only giggled at her girlfriend at how adorably short she was.

"Happy anniversary Minari"

"It's not even our anniversary babe"

"I know, but you won't be here to celebrate it, so why not celebrate it now? Besides it's not our anniversary, it's yours" Chaeyoung said, her expression and tone full of sadness

Mina's pouted, knowing what Chaeyoung was talking about, but she quickly gave her siganture gummy smile, knowing it'll cheer her little cub up, god how Chaeyoung misse that smile. Mina extended her hand and Chaeyoung grabbed onto it. 

"Shall we?" Mina smiled

"Of course" Chaeyoung replied

They walked down the everflowing river, hand in hand, talking about what has happened since they last met, it had been quite a while since one visited the other, to be honest, it was always Chaeyoung who visited Mina. They talked about their childhood, their memories together, and their life together, they walked and walked, but no matter how much time has passed, it was somehow still sunset, and finally, they did it, they reached the end of the river.

"We did it Chaengie" Mina said, smiling brightly at Chaeyoung

"I know, but..." Chaeyoung said, tears welling in her eyes.

Mina took one of Chaeyoung's hands and place it on one of her cheeks and nuzzled into it, trying to calm the cub down, it only made Chaeyoung cry even more, her face turning red, her cheeks stained with tears, her breathing irregular. Chaeyoung suddenly brought Mina into a hug, and she held onto Mina as if she was going to disappear

"What's wrong Chaengie"

"You're not real" Chaeyoung cried out

"I can be real for a while can't I" Mina said softly, Chaeyoung's hair

"No, be real forever" Chaeyoung cried, tightening her grip around Mina

"You know I can't do that" Mina said, finally crying as well

"Please... don't leave me" Chaeyoung sobbed, nuzzling her face into Mina's chest

"I'm sorry" Mina said, her voice fading

"No no no... please don't...." Chaeyoung cried

Chaeyoung tried to tighten her hug on Mina, but there was nothing there anymore, as she saw Mina fade away, becoming one with the sunset and river that they once admired. Chaeyoung collasped onto the ground, crying, her cries the most heartbreaking sound anyone has heard, but no one was there to hear her.

Suddenly, Chaeyoung woke up, she looked next to her, praying to see Mina there, but she wasn't, she wasn't real anymore, and Chaeyoung cried loudly, this had become an everyday thing for Chaeyoung, wake up, look beside her, and cry. After who knows how long of crying, Chaeyoung got up, the time was 6.30am, sunrise. Chaeyoung got up, dressed herself in her favourite outfit, well, it was her favourite because Mina liked it the best, and she drove, all the way to the columbarium. 

Chaeyoung was here to celebrate Mina's anniversary, not theirs, but hers, because today, 23 June, was the day Mina Sharon Myoui, passed away.

"Happy 3rd anniversary babe" Chaeyoung cried.
