Eden: BTS' Top Recommendations
When the three of us started this rec fic, we had something specific in mind. As writers who post to this site, we've been noticing a decrease of activity within the BTS fandom and we wanted to change that. We've noticed that people are subscribing to the recommendations, but not many people are actiely commenting, upvoting, and supporting stories that deserve attention.
Let me put it this way. If authors didn't want others to read and respond to their work, then they wouldn't post it online. Comments, upvotes, and feedback can often make someone's day, and more often than not, a lack of this is incredibly discouraging. The idea of authors encouraging active reading has somehow been branded as "attention-seeking," but there's a lack of perspective with this. The writers spent time writing a piece, and a large majority of people expect writers to continue pumping out their work, and that somehow staying silent and going back to check on the story every once in a while will lead to a magic notification to pop up. In reality, writers on this site post their work and hope that someone has something to say about their work, and they take it into consideration as they continue to try to write for fun. The lack of reader response comes across as indifferent towards the story, which makes the writers almost indifferent. Readers are massive contributors to fanfiction because reader response lets writers know that it's worth finishi
