It did not take long for them to get to Yoohyeon’s place. Jiu growled thanks to the taxi driver before pulling Yoohyeon out and dragging her into the omega’s apartment. Jiu unlocked the door with Yoohyeon clinging to her side. She opened the door and yanked the delirious woman in.

“Do you have suppressants?” Jiu asked with dilated eyes. Yoohyeon could tell the alpha was struggling to maintain her self-control.

Yoohyeon somewhat came to her senses, still feeling the urge to submit washing through her veins. “The cabinet.” Her words came out sultry.

Jiu was gone from her side in a second to bring a glass and the suppressants. She watched as Yoohyeon took them, trying to maintain herself. If this was someone else, she would have taken the omega as soon as she smelt her heat. She could not do this with Yoohyeon. The last thing she wanted to do was force herself on the younger.

“Go lay down. I will be here.” Jiu’s words were strained but comforting. The alpha shrugged off her jacket and wrapped it around the omega’s shoulders.

“Use this.” Yoohyeon nodded, knowing exactly what the alpha implied. The jacket was drenched in Jiu’s smell. Yoohyeon stumbled to her room and reluctantly locked it. Her clothes were off in a mere second as her heat took over her whole body. Jiu’s jacket was wrapped around her as inhaled the scent, releasing herself again and again at the thought of the alpha.

Jiu was tortured for the following days. Yoohyeon’s heat had lasted about five days. Jiu had stayed in the apartment, sleeping on the couch. She would make meals and make sure Yoohyeon took the suppressants. They helped her enough, to not make Jiu pounce on her. Jiu was frustrated, it was one of the most torturous experiences for her. Her instincts told her to claim Yoohyeon, but she forced herself not to. The moment the omega’s heat came, she wanted to claim her and mate her.

The sixth day, Yoohyeon’s heat finally came to an end. She blushed as she inhaled Jiu’s scent from the jacket. She wished it was Jiu who was there for her throughout her heat, instead, she was stuck trying to relieve herself. Yoohyeon couldn’t deny that the jacket had helped her immensely; it almost felt like Jiu was there with her throughout it. Yoohyeon got up from the comfort of her bed and left her room. Upon entering the living room, she was met with the sight of Jiu reading some work-related documents. Jiu was in casual clothes, jeans, and a simple shirt. The sight made Yoohyeon’s heart swell. Yoohyeon had never seen her in anything but her pants suit, but Jiu looked beautiful in casual as well.

The CEO looked up at the refreshing scent that filled her senses. Yoohyeon was standing before her in nothing but some short shorts and a hoodie. The sight made the omega looked irresistible to Jiu. Even with her heat over, Jiu felt the need to claim the woman before her. Jiu pushed away her thoughts and set her papers down as she stood up.

Jiu stepped closer to Yoohyeon, “Are you feeling better?” She was concerned at the sight of the omega fidgeting before her.

Before she could ask anything else Yoohyeon buried her face in the crook of Jiu’s neck. “I missed you,” she mumbled slightly, inhaling the alpha’s musky scent.

Jiu smiled and wrapped her arms around Yoohyeon’s waist, pulling her in closer. Her hand naturally went up to Yoohyeon’s hair in a comforting manner. Jiu had spent five torturous days hear listening to Yoohyeon’s whimpers and screams. The scent in the apartment was enough to leave her on edge the whole length of Yoohyeon’s heat and still rightfully so.

“Have you been here the whole time?” Yoohyeon whispered softly in the crook of Jiu’s neck. She already knew the answer, but she wanted to hear the words come from Jiu’s mouth.

“Where else could I have gone with my future mate in heat?” Jiu’s words were soft but sent shivers down Yoohyeon’s spine. Her grip on Jiu tightened and she didn’t want to let go.

Much to her distaste, Jiu pulled away first. “Let’s get you some food. Get dressed, properly.”

Yoohyeon immediately nodded and went back to her room to get herself ready. The way the CEO accentuated the words sent a pool of heat into her stomach and into her chest. She couldn’t help but submit to the alpha’s orders, it was almost thrilling.

After she got dressed, Jiu was on the couch waiting for her. Her legs were crossed, and she looked almost engrossed into the papers in front of her. Yoohyeon couldn’t deny how attractive she looked. As Yoohyeon was gaping, Jiu looked up. Their eyes met, and electricity seemed to flow between the two of them. Jiu got up slowly and reached out to her. Her thumb came to caress Yoohyeon’s cheek in a gentle manner. Yoohyeon nuzzled into the warmth, purring softly.

It took a while for the two to get out of the apartment. It wasn’t until Yoohyeon’s stomach growled that the two finally realized what they intended to do. Jiu laughed so hard at Yoohyeon’s embarrassment.

The two ate lunch together in nothing but a romantic atmosphere. There was teasing and subtle flirting throughout their time together. The only downside was when the waiter tried to hit on Yoohyeon. Jiu growled at him, much to Yoohyeon’s pleasure. She slowly started to find out that Jiu was not like other alphas she had met. Jiu tried not to be too possessive with her, even though Yoohyeon couldn’t deny she liked it when Jiu was. Yoohyeon had fallen too fast for Jiu, almost like it was meant to be.

“I have to get back to work. I will see you later tonight for dinner.” Jiu smiled and leaned forward to press her lips against Yoohyeon’s forehead. Yoohyeon had the biggest grin on her face afterwards, not to mention her cheeks were flushed.

“Take this as well.” Jiu handed Yoohyeon her jacket. “It has my smell on it.”

Yoohyeon took the jacket almost too readily. She could never get tired of Jiu’s scent. She watched with the jacket folded in her arms as Jiu drove away to her work from Yoohyeon’s father’s company. She sighed and slowly walked into the building and to her father’s office.
