yet he did say he'd do anything for her and he sure as hell was going to keep his word.
It was a good half a day after the end of their mission when Sehun awoke. He had a pounding headache and had so badly wanted to go back to sleep, except that once is eyes opened the tiniest of a fraction, Wonwoo had pounced onto him and showered him with too many kisses for his liking.
“Oh my god, bro.” Wonwoo had wiped a fake tear away as he sat back down on his bed, bringing his legs up to cross them beneath his body. “Dude, I was worried sick man.” Wonwoo groaned, wiping a hand down his face before he flopped onto his back.
Sehun could only manage a weak chuckle before slowly sitting up and grabbing the mineral water beside him, thirstily finishing it in a few gulps. His head was still throbbing and his memories of the previous night were still foggy. The only thing that he could recollect was of the girl he found so beautiful in the purple dress, sitting lonesomely at the bar.
Crumpling the empty plastic bottle in his hands and absent-mindedly tossing it onto the bedside table, Sehun sat up straighter and cleared his throat. “Where’s Sejeong, by the way?” He had tried to make his question sound as casual as possible, and yet the scratching of his neck and how he couldn’t meet Wonwoo’s eyes when he asked the question made the latter smirk as he hopped off his bed and sat at the foot of Sehun’s.
“She’s currently nursing her injuries right now.” Wonwoo had raised a hand to stop Sehun when the latter’s eyes had widened in worry. “But don’t fret lover boy, they are just superficial wounds, nothing a warrior like her can’t take.” Wonwoo grinned teasingly.
“Don’t call me that.” Sehun muttered under his breath, his cheeks flushing.
Wonwoo’s grin had only widened. “What? Lover boy? What would you prefer instead? Sejeong’s potential boyfriend?”
“Stop talking man. There’s nothing going on, and there won’t be anything going on.”
“You know for being one of the more talented agents in our team, you sure are pretty stupid,” Wonwoo rolled his eyes. “I mean fine, you might not know what her feelings truly are, but surely you do know your’s right?”
To that, Sehun could only keep his lips sealed shut as his roommate was unfortunately right.
“But I mean, if it does make you feel a bit better or something, Jaehyun said that he found ya’ll in a pretty compromising position last night.” Wonwoo wiggled his brows, only causing Sehun’s cheeks to heat up even more.
Wonwoo barked out a laugh at his friend’s extremely red face. “I kid. But seriously though, he said that when he entered the scene, Sejeong had her arms around you and was also passed out on top of you on the bed. Talk about scandalous bro,” Wonwoo winked. “I think Jaehyun said that he got a photo too before he pulled ya’ll apart to administer first aid,” Wonwoo put a finger to his lip.
“He also said he’d use it as blackmail, but Lisa threatened to snipe him in his sleep if he ever did leak the photo.” Wonwoo had ended with a shrug, but Sehun had hardly heard Wonwoo finish, especially since he was caught up with the image of Sejeong’s small body resting on his. With the heat that was emanating from his cheeks, he might’ve as well been running a fever.
“Anyway,” Wonwoo continued obliviously, “Jaehyun said that he’s going to try and shoot an apple off RM’s head with a bow and arrow and I’m kind of into those sick tricks.” Wonwoo had jumped off Sehun’s bed easily and was sauntering casually towards the door. “Rest up and I’ll catch you later, Sejeong’s .”
The door had already slammed shut as Sehun made his first sounds of protest.

The sun was casting its final glow through the sheer curtains of Sehun’s room as he sat propped up on his bed, sipping slowly on the tea that Momo had brought him without trying to burn his tongue. The camomile was effective in warming his body, yet he still set lonesomely in his bed, the duvet wrapped awkwardly over his right shoulder as he held onto the the white mug loosely in his left hand. Sehun was bored.
Being cooped up in his bed all day was something that he wasn’t used to nor liked, and even with at least one person visiting him every single hour and making sure he had something to do besides sleep, she hadn’t once entered his room yet. He knew that she needed time to recover as well, but it didn’t help that he was on bed arrest and could not get up to go see her.
Putting the mug down on his bedside table with a loud thud, Sehun slumped further into his soft pillows and wrapped the duvet tightly around his shoulders. He decided it was better for his health and the others’ as well, to not sneak out another time and cause Momo another freakout. It was traumatising.
So that was how Sehun sat, bored out of his mind as he watched the last of the sun’s ray fade away, plunging the room into darkness. He sat, waiting for boredom and exhaustion to finally put him to sleep, when the door to his room was suddenly pushed open slightly, the lights in the hallway illuminating Sejeong’s beautiful face.
Sehun had almost fallen off the bed at the speed in which he sat up, and also breathed a sigh of relief when he realised Sejeong didn’t notice as she turned to close the door softly behind her, whilst casually reaching down to flip the switch on the night light near the door. The room was bathed in a warm yellow glow, and it was just a mere backdrop for Sejeong, who had a small smile dancing on her face as she slowly approached Sehun’s bed. Her laptop was clutched firmly to her chest, while her left hand was gripping onto a white bowl with a wooden spoon carelessly poking out.
“Hey.” Sejeong’s grin widened as she placed the bowl next to Sehun before taking a seat on the end of his bed, her grip around her laptop tightening. “Shownu made some soup for dinner tonight. You should have some before it gets cold.”
Sehun couldn’t drop the smile that had crept onto his face ever since the girl opened the door, and could only nod dumbly at the girl before picking the bowl up and taking a few sips.
Sejeong looked on appreciatively whilst tapping her nails on her laptop as the room had also plunged into a comfortable silence. Sehun studied the girl carefully over the rim of the bowl, looking out for any injuries that she had sustained the night before. The baggy sweater and leggings did well in hiding any injuries that she bore, yet even though Sehun didn’t know the extent of her injuries, the bright grin that Sejeong threw his way was enough in telling him that she was completely alright.
Shownu’s pumpkin soup was absolutely delicious and Sehun finished the bowl down to the very last drop. He must’ve seemed hungry, but it was only because he wanted to finally talk to the girl before him.
Setting the bowl down with a loud clatter on his bedside table, Sehun propped himself straighter against his pillows before glancing at the girl with round, curious eyes.
Sejeong had met his gaze for only a fraction of a second before bursting out into a fit of giggles. Sehun did enjoy the sound of her laughter dancing around the room and only liked to see her happy, yet he did realise that she was laughing at him, and his eyes had only become rounder and more curious.
Setting her laptop beside her, Sejeong reached towards the tissue box next to Sehun before sliding herself closer to him. Sehun wasn’t given any time to react, before she reached for the corner of his lips, dabbing at the smear of soup he had left there. Sehun couldn’t help the warmth that had flowed to his cheeks and neck, and had quietly patted his cheeks in hopes that it would be less red when Sejeong returned from balling up the tissue and throwing it in the bin at the corner of the room.
“What are you, five?” Sejeong chuckled as she picked up her laptop once more and instead sat right next to Sehun, her feet dangling off the bed. “Anyway,” Sejeong continued in a softer voice. Sehun could only concentrate on how shy the girl suddenly got, making a smirk take over his face. “I thought that you’d be bored… So maybe we could watch a movie together?” Sejeong raised her laptop slightly before adding quickly, “but only if you want to.”
Sehun let out a tiny chuckle before shifting to his left, pulling the duvet aside and petting the space next to him. “So what’re we watching?” There was a mischievous glint in his eye as the girl slowly slid into the space next to him. The queen-sized bed had enough room for two, yet as Sejeong placed the laptop on top of his thighs, Sehun realised that they were sitting shoulder to shoulder and that their legs were touching. His breath hitched in his throat, looking at the ease in which Sejeong fixed the duvet around her before throwing him another easy smile.
“Let’s see.” Sejeong had said in a sing-song voice as she opened the laptop, revealing how she already had Netflix loaded and ready to go. “There’s horror and comedy and romance; what’re you feeling tonight?” Sehun stared, smitten at the g
