AND IT ALL STARTED WITH A LETTER

GANGNAM PARK SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

4:45 PM

TAEYEON’S POV

The sky is dark clearly visible that clouds are forming to rain. According to the news a thunderstorm is threatening to fall this evening I just wish that Mr. Kwon will come on time so that we can get to the nearby café or restaurant to avoid the heavy rain. I came here 15 minutes earlier on our meeting place at the park near the school. The Park is crowded with family’s who spent quality time with their children. Here I am sitting on the bench in front of the fountain watching it while waiting for him.

5:30 PM

Looking at my watch 45 minutes had passed. I’m starting to doubt if he read the letter yesterday. I’m still here waiting without any assurance that he will come.

6:15 PM

I my lips. Looking at my watch for the nth time monitoring the time. Still waiting like a fool. People are staring at me whispering, I shrugged the thoughts and continue to wait with the same position.

Suddenly my heart beat faster when I saw a black car same as Mr. Kwon when he picked up Jiyeon yesterday. I stood up and look at the person who gets down on the car. I feel disappointed that he’s not the person driving the car. I continue sitting on the bench playing some music and games on my phone entertaining myself.

It’s my fault after all. I assume that he will come without confirming anything.

7: 21 PM

The park filled with people earlier now emptied. People started to leave slowly until I left alone. I’m actually willing to wait until 8 PM but the rain starts to pour heavily

“Aish! Great Kim Taeyeon you forgot to bring an umbrella!” I shouted I immediately call a taxi giving him the address of the person I’m supposed to meet.

Though I forgot to bring an umbrella. I never forgot to know the address of him and Jiyeon I know all of this because I’m her teacher! Yep I’m actually prepared except for the umbrella thingy hahaha

GALLAERIA VILLAGE

8:05 PM

“Woah Daebak!”

I said in owe admiring in front of me a two-story house that looks so magnificent from the outside what more from the inside indeed Jiyeonie’s dad is a well-known Architect. I don’t care if the rain is still pouring hard.

Ding ding ding

I press the doorbell of the house. Waiting patiently for the owner. Maybe he didn’t hear it because of the loud noise the rain is producing

Ding ding ding 

I press it again and then an old woman hurriedly went to the gate where I was standing.

“Young lady! Why are you standing there in the middle of the rain!” She exclaimed with a tone of concern is evident in her voice.

“Annyeong haseyo Kim Taeyeon imnida.” I bowed still smiling even though coldness engulfing my petite body. “Is this Kwon Jiyong’s house?” I asked

“I’m sorry but who are you?”

“I’m Jiyeon’s teacher. I’m supposedly meet his dad today but he didn’t come. Is he inside?”

“Aigoo sorry, Ms. but he’s is not here. He just leave around 4 pm”

“Really? He didn’t tell me” I felt so sad knowing that he didn’t even show a slight interest in coming on our supposed ‘date’

“Come in. I’ll prepare some hot coffee and a warm bath for you, Ms. Kim”

Together we enter the house. My jaw dropped seeing the paintings on the wall. A beautiful chandelier, expensive appliances, and furniture. All in all this house looks so stunning

“Is Jiyeon here Ahjumma?”

“Teacher Kim is that you?!” Jiyeon yelled in owe while holding her coloring book

“Yes, Jiyeonnie! Oh no no no you can’t hug me I’m soaking wet”

“What happened Teacher Kim?”

“I just love to ahhmmm shower in the rain! That’s right!”

“Jiyeonnie talk to your teacher later she needs to take a bath”

“Wait for me okay?”

“Yes!” She nodded excitedly

If I can’t impress his dad today I’ll probably win his daughter’s heart

I took a bath and the ahjumma let me borrowed the clothes of Jiyeon’s dad. When I came out of the bathroom I saw Jiyeon sitting in front of the door.

“Why are you sitting there Jiyeon?”

“I’m waiting for you” and then hugged one of my legs 

“This is my room Teacher!” Jiyeon said pulling me to her room

“You’re room is so cute Jiyeonnie?”

“Dad said, my mommy, design it for me Teacher”

“Jiyeon call me Teacher when were inside the school, but now you can just call me…..

“Mommy! I want to call you mommy! Can I call you that Teacher?”

“Of course you can Jiyeonnie”

“Teach- I mean -mom-mommy?”

“What?” I said smiling

“Can you please read me a book?”

“Of course why not”
