Back to when they first started dating, Seungwan told a lot about Joohyun to her parents so they knew her but hadn't have a chance to meet. They once talked to her through the phone and it was a great conversation.

After 2 hours, Seungwan arrived home. It had been a while since she had dinner with her parents so she was half happy and half nervous. Her parents were also looking at her worriedly as they could realize how serious she was when she spoke through the phone two days ago. Seungwan took a deep breath before speaking then she told them everything about her plan. As she had anticipated, they were really shock when hearing it.

"What you gonna do there? Many companies here want you and now you tell me you wanna work abroad? Daughter what are you thinking?" - Her dad said after being silent for a moment

"But dad-"

"No sweetie, I can not agree with you this time and I don't wanna talk about it again"

Her dad left the table without finishing his dish. Seungwan could only sigh looking at her father walking away. But she knew it's normal that her father reacted like that, how could he not? 

But more than anyone else, her mother understood what she just said and how she was feeling

"You must have thought a lot about it, right? I can't say whether I agree or not but since it's your future, I believe you can do well whatever you choose"

"Mom.."

"For now let's not talk about it he seems angry. While you're back to school, I'll try to convince him"

"Thank you mom.."

Then Seungwan gave her mom a tight hug. As expected, she could always rely on her.

A day later, Seungwan came back to the dorm with a heavy heart. Before she left, she tried to talk to her dad again but couldn't. And now she didn't know how to face Joohyun as she didn't want her to knew it.

"Oh you're back. How was it?" - Yeri was studying in the living room when Seungwan opened the door

She sighed while sitting down. Yeri also didn't ask anything else as she could realize it through her friend's expression

Knowing that her girlfriend was back, Joohyun nervously sent a message to her

"Are you tired? I miss you"

"Coincidentally I'm walking to your room. Meet me in 2 minutes"

And they met after 2 days apart. Seungwan first kissed her forehead, she missed this feeling

"I miss you so much"

"Me too, but.."

"Hmm?"

"How are your parents?"

"They're good, still healthy" - Seungwan hestitated a little bit about what she gonna say

"How was the talk?" - Joohyun was also nervous when asking about this

"Well..everything is fine. They just need more time to think about it"

Seungwan was just so bad at lying, she repeatedly blinked and this is also the first time she lied to Joohyun. She would never want to do this.

But Joohyun already knew the moment she looked into Seungwan's eyes. Joohyun kept looking at Seungwan warmly as she knew her girlfriend just didn't want to make her feel more sad about this. 

"They don't agree, right? Wan ah you don't have to say like that"

Seungwan hesitated because of sudden question

"No Joohyun it's just--"

"It's okay Wan. I can understand that. If i were your parents, i would do the same" - Joohyun said while looking down

"They were just shocked, they will think about it. Don't worry"

Seungwan took a step closer and hug the person in front. She tried her best to comfort Joohyun although she also needed it herself.

Imagine you're the one who has to choose between your girlfriend and your parents, what you gonna do? It's like choosing left hand and right hand. And that's exactly how Seungwan was feeling

Then they just stood there hugging each other for a while without saying anything more.

A month had passed with those final essays before graduation. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief except for two persons

Although Seungwan already called her mom to ask about the situation but it seemed like she needed to go back again as their graduation day about to come. But this time, for some reasons she didn't want to let Joohyun know.

Sitting in the living room, Joohyun was silent and had been staring at nothing for almost 30 minutes. Seulgi who was sitting next to her looked at her worriedly then she secretly sent a text to Seungwan

"Just so you know she kept on sighing"

"Thanks"

Receiving it, Seungwan hurriedly sent a text to Joohyun

"I miss you, can we meet?"

5 minutes then 10 then 30, still no reply from her

Meanwhile, Joohyun's phone rang as the text came, she looked at the screen for a while then turn it off. 

"Who's that? Is it Seungwan? Why you didn't answer?" 

"Idk.."

"You already broke up with her?"

"I think I have to.."

"What?? But-"

Someone knocking the door made Seulgi couldn't finish her sentence. Opening it, she realized it was Seungwan

"Hmm.." 

Seulgi hestitated for a little bit then she turned to Joohyun

"It's Seungwan"

Hearing it, Joohyun looked over the door and she made an eye contact with her girlfriend. Because Seungwan was already here, Joohyun stepped out and they found a quite place to talk.

"You didn't answer my message so.." - Seungwan said while looking deeply into her eyes

While Joohyun evaded it by looking down and didn't say anything back. Feeling something wrong, Seungwan held the other's hand tightly 

"Hey i know we're gonna graduate soon-"

"Seungwan ah.."

Irene suddenly looked up

"I've been thinking a lot and i know you have too..."

She kept on hestitating

"let's just end it here so that both of us won't get hurt anymore"

Joohyun said while letting go of her hand

"What do you mean..we can do it together, just not this way, please" - Seungwan was completely shocked, her voice started shaking

"Is there any other way? And don't conflict with your parents just because of me"

And then she turned away but Seungwan grabbed her elbow in time

"I'm trying my best..don't Joohyun..don't"

"then you don't have to try anymore" - she said with a cold voice that she had never talked like that to Seungwan before and left

Behind was Seungwan looking at her leaving. No words could describe her feelings at this time

As soon as Joohyun closed the door, she shed a tear. Seeing that, Seulgi hurriedly run over

"What's wrong?"

"I broke up with her..i just did.."

And then she cried louder. Seulgi didn't know what to do, she gave her friend a hug who needed it the most right now
