"Why did you switch it off, Mother?" Hyeri placed the remote down as she watched her only son descending the stairs. She let out a deep sigh, "I don't think I can stomach this situation, son," and leaned her head back against the sofa. Yunho fiddled with the buttons of his cuff as he took a seat beside the elderly, and he stared blankly at his reflection on the TV screen. 

Yunho agrees.

Hyeri closed her eyes, raised her fingers up to her temple and begin to rub them in an attempt to ease the impending migraine. "I. . . I don't think this is a coincidence mother," Yunho whispered, voice cracking slightly. She did not respond, but instead let out another sigh; of course it's no coincidence. People don't just, die, one after another within the span of months. 

"Madam, young master. The car is ready." Yunho turned to face the chaffeur, nods his head and smiled. "Thank you Uncle Won." The elderly bowed slightly, and made his way out of the door. Yunho stood up and glanced at his mother. "Aren't you coming?" Hyeri exhaled. "Yeah, you go ahead first. I'll be out shortly." 

If given an option, she would rather stay home and not attend the funeral. But, one, she's already dressed and two, it would be rude if she did not attend the funeral of the man who had helped her many times when the company was facing multiple problems. Society would definitely pin her as a divorcee with no sense of gratitude. The worse thing would definitely be the fact that her ex-husband's presence there. He'd definitely be there. And there's no doubt, he would start making advances to her once again. 

'Advances with impure intentions. . . huh.'

A tiny smirk graced her lips and her eyelids opened slightly.
