Chapter 2: Jaejoong
Love's Elegy"You are here alone again
In your sweet insanity
All too calm, you hide yourself from reality
Do you call it solitude? Do you call it liberty?
When all the world turns away to leave you lonely."
- Kajiura Yuki, The World
Frankly speaking, Jaejoong is everything that Yunho had ever wanted in a girlfriend: He is bright, and funny, and maybe a little quirky at times but always covers it up with such a beautiful smile — Oh god. His smile could rival even those of an angel!
He's an aspiring musician who can play all kinds of instruments with long slender fingers that would look so, so good on camera; to the point where Yunho felt like trying to use a low-quality camera to capture its beauty and prove that even a poor product could produce a picture that looks spectacular. What more, they're the same age, born in the same month; albeit Jaejoong will turn 18 a few days ahead of him.
Yes, from head to toe, inside and out, Jaejoong is the only kind of person that Yunho would love to date. However, despite looking like the perfect lover, there are two exceptions:
1. He is a guy.
2. He's ... well, born blind.
To be honest, Yunho doesn't really care about his disability. Heck, Jaejoong is such an admirable person; it took him six months worth of practice to walk from the sidelines and up to the podium to perform during Uncle Jun's birthday party without aid. But Jaejoong believed that if someone founds out, he would definitely be shunned and humiliated in whatever society they both are living in.
But, even with those factors, it amazes Yunho how the pretty boy could remain happy and bright, and... so optimistic about the situation. It amazes him very much and the feeling of wanting to find out more about him continuously grows.
Yunho leans forward in his seat and gnaws on the pad of his thumb.
Just what is it that makes him so attracted to the latter?
"I hope you don't plan on making this room into another one of your picture shrine, son."
Snapping out of his reverie, Yunho turned to look at his mother and gave a lopsided smile. "No promises dear mother. My first human subject is just heavenly."
The elder elegantly made her way into the room, hazel eyes fixated on the biggest picture pinned to the wall. "...Yes, I have to agree," she mutters and stood beside Yunho. "He is beautiful." Her son nodded and leaned back into his chair. He resumed staring at the pair of doe eyes that appears to be staring back into his soul; a pair of eyes that sees, but not really seeing.
All the surrounding pictures were of Jaejoong taken both discreetly and indiscreetly (not that it makes a difference, actually) during the party and the room - even though is as big as a studio - most likely is in danger of becoming a shrine for Jaejoong.
"Something about his pictures screams despair."
"...You think so too mother?"
Yunho glances at his mother, expression as wistful as the teenager in the picture. " I know so," she whispered softly, voice trembling and her eyes were beginning to glimmer with tears. The teen kept mummed and turned his attention back to the picture on the wall as the gears in his brain continuously turned and churned, thoughts running like a bullet train.
"Yunho, there are times where peopl
