Love's Elegy
Heavy droplets of water pattered against the earth surface as the thick, blackened clouds released the rain down with a loud roar. Flashes of lightning followed by the loud screams of thunder and strong winds bellowing rocked the world with it's raging symphony. Not a single soul could be seen walking under such frightening weather conditions, causing the usually busy streets of South Korea to be voided of people, now looking more like a ghost street.
Admist the rain, hazel brown eyes stared blankly at the carvings inscribed on a large stone. Even in such a place, the heavy downpour is merciless. Even then, the owner of the hazel brown eyes remained rooted to the ground as her memories began playing back like a broken video camera. God knows how long she had been standing there, staring and not uttering a single word.
"Madam, it's time to go."
The woman glanced to her bodyguard on her right, before turning her head back to the front. Taking a step forward, she placed a hand on the stone and gently rubbed it with her thumb. Her lips began to quiver and her eyes shone as tears began rolling down her cheeks.
" . . . I'm so sorry, unnie. Please, forgive me for everything that I've done. . . forgive me for keeping quiet when I shouldn't." She croaked, body shaking while breaking into heartwrenching sobs.
