Winter Passes and Flowers Bloom

Description

Nothing really changes, but feelings keep growing. It takes two to realise and two to take it further, right?

A short Moonsun story, based on their real life schedule, but you get to see the stuff that happened behind instead (isn't that great?). And it's chronological. Wow, normal.

Note for later: preparing actual descriptions.

Note (also for later): becoming good at it.

1st chapter is about how Yongsun and Byul came to write Star Wind Flower Sun.

2nd chapter is about what happened when Byul was filming for the show It's Okay to Go a Little Crazy (with, more or less, Eric Nam).

3rd chapter is about the fear of new beginnings and the pride taken in achievements, surrounding Solar's first solo concert.

The epilogue is about that step you won't take back right before the curtain rises.

Foreword

Erh, so I haven't written fanfictions in like... 9 years or so (lol, makes me sound old af... but last time, I was really really young. Like a baby). And lately, all I've been writing is theses and dissertations. Also, although I study English literature, English is not my mother tongue (I think my use of past tenses often betrays that). Bear with me and my annoying style as long as you can. Any comment will be appreciated. I'll try to get better if I ever get other ideas.

Chapter 4: Every chapter was great. I really enjoyed the “close to reality” genre and you write and capture them well. Hoping for more of that in the future. Thanks!

Chapter 4: wow, this is just so well written. There's a warmth feeling while reading this kind of piece, it's more like all you wanna do is keep reading the descriptions, no matter if the story plot wise is doing something you like or hate, all you cared about while reading is the soft words and very smart put details of every scene. The right is quite good too.

I got chills from all the emotions narrated. Sincerely, thank you.

Chapter 4: 'failures are often just due to the terror their shadow inflicts upon uncertain hearts' - this is really a deep sentence. Damn, I can really hear Yongsun's voice in this short piece! That determination and letting go of her fears in the last sentence! That is a short yet impactful sentence. I got a good kind of chill reading this chapter (and no, it's not from the cold weather I'm having now). I think how this chapter spans out is really interlinked with the part I quoted. I also find it touching that Yongsun still thinks about Byul and giving her encouragement as this point of time where usually people think about themselves before the curtain opens, but then again, Byul has taken up such a huge part in her life. This chapter beautifully sums up the three chapters before it. Thank you for this beautiful story. I'm looking forward to seeing more stories from you. :) (I just need to add how much I love the title of the story. 'Flowers bloom' really represents the name of Solar's concert 'Blossom', and 'winter passes' shows the hardship and emotional roller coaster she went through for her own self to blossom. Again, I'm not sure if this makes sense aha...)

Chapter 3: Damn, the first paragraph already got me hooked. Love the description of the urban jungle. Ah, it's both saddening yet a relief (not sure if that's the best word to use) to read stories about Yongsun's failed auditions. She's really an amazing person to continue pushing for her goals. I really like this part: ' (...) fears never really get away. They simply change, with time, taking on new shapes, putting on new clothes.' This ties in very well with the countless number of failed auditions, and it's understandable to see Yongsun here still feeling insecure because after overcoming one hurdle, another one comes her way. I have no words to describe just how much I adore the paragraph describing the world in their eyes and the paragraph about building walls. It's really interesting if these paragraphs are to be compared, because while it seems like they still have this boundary between them, they ultimately still recognise that the other has something to hide, but they are able to still understand each other amid that boundary. Am I making sense, sigh. Ahh, gotta love how you linked back to Byul's cover of the song. Maybe it's really about Yongsun huh.

Chapter 2: I love how you build up the setting of the cold winter. Wow, for some reason I can really imagine the real Byul thinking of whatever that you wrote here, about her train of thoughts of being the temporary leader, and her worries about herself and Yongsun. This is quite a meaningful chapter about needing to meet expectations and the means of escaping/relaxing, even for a short while. Gotta say I love this line: 'Loud people sometimes have more meaningful silences.' I like this feeling of silence that I get throughout the chapter, which is quite fitting of the setting. This chapter makes me feel so soft, with the silence not being overbearing but more of them understanding each other even without words, like how Byul is able to tell how much Yongsun trusts her. It's a pleasant surprise to see them already as girlfriends here, and then with Byul saying that they've been a thing even before they became a couple, it shows that they know they had something special going on between them.

Chapter 1: Ah, I enjoyed reading this. There are so many part I like, like the part where Byul was observing how focused Yongsun was. Aww at Yongsun getting flustered in trying to explain how important Byul is to her :') Gosh, I was expecting something else from Byul too. That tension! (interesting how Byul got inspiration for lyrics from being in that close of a proximity with Yongsun though...) I also like how you said 'Hearts do not always reach, but words can help.' and then you linked the last sentence back to this.
