Hallucination...?

Limbo World

"Catch me if you can ... ... ... Catch me if you can ... ... ... Catch me if you can ... ... ..." With the sound of the alarm from her phone, Yoona woke up at six in the morning. She washed her face, brushed her hair, took a shower and went downstairs. There, she saw her one and only aunt waiting for her, with breakfast ready on the table.

Taking a seat, Yoona told her aunt, "Morning, aunty. Did you have a good sleep last night?"

"Well, I did..... until I heard you screaming your lungs out."

"I'm sorry." Yoona pouted, trying her best not to be nagged at. Her aegyo always worked, anyway.

"It's okay. I can have a nap later. It is you who can't. By the way, did that man appeared in your dream again?"

"Yeah. It's him again, fighting with some kind of creatures I have never seen before."

"This must be fate, considering how many times he appeared in your dreams."

"There is no way it is fate, aunty. Besides, he look very much older than I am...... He must be my father!!" Yoona stated jokingly. "Now that I come to think about it, you have never once told me about my parents, not even their names."

Yoona saw hesitation clouded in her aunt's eyes and worry written across her face but decided not to press about it. She took a glance at the clock.

"Yoona-yah, didn't you say you have to go to school early today? You are late now." Her aunt was right. She was late. So she stuffed the breakfast in and left for school.

She took the subway. She was about to go to the empty seat when she saw something red on the train's glass window from the corner of her eye.

It said, "Five in the evening. Come to the Central Park. I can tell you everything you want to know." It looked like those words were written in blood.

Yoona rubbed her eyes again and again. She looked at the words once more. Those creepy words were still there. She couldn't believe her eyes. Besides, she could not sleep well last night, could she? Doubting her ability to see, she asked the old man beside her.

"What does it say?" She pointed at the window.

"It says no smoking. Why? Do you want to?" The man seemed to be irritated. He narrowed his eyebrows.

Just then, the strange words Yoona saw disappeared and change into "No Smoking"

'This is not what I saw a minute ago. Was that a hallucination?' Yoona thought.

She arrived to her school and thus decided to ignore that little incident. Moreover, she was busy. The school was holding a festival and she had to teach the choreography to the children.

Yoona entered the hall, only to see her fellow teacher, Boram. She was teaching the children how to dance for the performance at the festival.

Boram was not only a partner at work but also a good friend of Yoona. Their first encounter was at work but they became closer day by day.

Boram was an older and more-experienced teacher compared with Yoona. Although she was in her late twenties, she looked cute thanks to her short height and plump figure. She looked as cute as an infant, causing  her pupils the lack of fear towards her. In fact, the children even enjoyed teasing her.

Boram saw Yoona standing at the entrance of the hall.

"Yoona!! What brings you here?"

"The principal told me to go and help you, unnie. She thought that you alone won't be able to teach the kids dance."

"It's such a relief that you came, Yoona-yah. I have taught them everything but the choreography at the chorus."

"I knew it. That's why I am here."

"Come on, then. What are you waiting for? Let's get started!"

After class,

"I'm so tired, now, unnie." Yoona told Boram. She took a sip of water. Boram just looked at her friend with a mother's smile on her lips.

Suddenly, Yoona felt dizzy and heard a voice that said, "Central Park. Five o'clock in the evening. You will know everything you have been wandering about."

Shocked, she looked around, trying to find the owner of the voice but there was no one around except the two of them.

'I must really be hallucinating.'
