I wrapped my arms around her waist, from behind, and rested my chin on her shoulder. “What’re you doing?” She asked me.

“Hugging you.”

“Obviously,” She said. “But, it’s not obvious why.”

I could tell her that I felt her pulling away from me because she no longer wanted to be with me. Or, I could tell her that I wanted to ask her to marry me. But, honestly, I didn’t want to go down that road again. She was going to say no.

“I love you.”

“Is that why you’re hugging me?” She asked me.

“Yes.”

She giggled. “My sweet Hyun Woo…”

“Yes?”

“You really just… you make me feel so special. I hate it,” she said, in such an endearing way.

“Why do you hate it?”

“Well, whenever I go out into the real world, outside your little world of love, I feel like I want to be back here, as soon as possible,” she joked.

“Can we just go away for a while? Like Jeju or some shady motel? Just you and me?” She asked me.

“Then, take a few days off. We’ll go. I want to go.”

She moved out of my hold and turned to face me. I knew that she loved me, I knew that we were fine, but there was a strange nagging feeling at the back of my head. It was gnawing at me. I wanted to be with her forever, but forever wasn’t long enough.
