Chapter Two: Impression

Our Leader's Sister (CHANYEOL)

"Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Kim Junmyeon’s ugly sister, Kim Sohyun. Nice to meet you all." Sohyun said.

"Sohyun~ah! You're here! Where have you been?" Suho exclaimed.

Suho stood up and walked towards his sister to give her a hug. He then took the grocery bag Sohyun was carrying and placed in on the table.

"I just went out to buy some ingredients at the market because you told me you're coming. I was planning to cook a nice dinner for you. Oppa, you spoiled my surprise. I didn’t expect you’d be here early. You said you wouldn’t be here ‘till evening?" Sohyun pouted.

“Ah, well, I was planning to surprise you.” Suho said pinching his sister’s cheeks.

“Yeah. Surprise indeed.” Sohyun said sarcastically, looking sideways and back at her brother, gesturing the presence of the other boys inside the kitchen.

Suho immediately understood what his sister meant. He didn’t tell his sister that he invited the others because he knew she’d be against it. He quickly went to introduce the others.

"Ah, Sohyun~ah, these are my band mates, Chanyeol, Sehun and Baekhyun." Suho said.

The three boys immediately stood up and bowed in respect. Sohyun also bowed to return the gesture.

"Yeah, I know who they are… Oppa, can I talk to you in private?" Sohyun asked.

“Please excuse us.” She added, speaking to the other boys.

She didn't give her brother a chance to protest as she quickly dragged him out of the kitchen and into the library.

As soon as the siblings went out of the kitchen, Baekhyun quickly stood up to check if they’re already out of ears reach.

"I think she heard what we’ve said." Baekhyun said biting his lower lip.

           "You think?" Sehun said sarcastically.

Chanyeol hit his forehead with his palm in embarrassment.

Sohyun lead the way inside the library. As soon as she got in, she leaned on the study table and faced her older brother.

"Hey sis, what's up?" Suho asked.

Suho gently closed the door behind him and looked back at his younger sister nervously.

"What's up? What's up? Oppa, what are THEY doing here? You only told me that you were coming. I was expecting you’d come here alone. Why did you have to bring your bandmates along?" Sohyun asked her older brother crossing her hands on her chest while doing so.

"Well, about that... I just thought it would be fun to have some friends around. Don’t you think so?" Suho said scratching the back of his neck.

           "Oppa!" Sohyun protested.

"Alright! Alright! I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, okay? It's only for a couple of months anyway. Come on Sohyun. Please?" Suho said.

“Ugh! I really can’t believe you.” Sohyun said shaking her head in disbelief.

“When did you tell them about me?” Sohyun asked.

“Just today, when we arrived here.” Suho said.

"What about your fans? And the reporters? Once they get wind that half of the group is staying here, I’m sure they’d be on your heels. You know I don't like being bothered." Sohyun said.

"Don't worry, everything's been taken care of. Anyway, didn't you miss your older brother?" Suho pouted.

"Aish, jinja! I really hate it when you go all mushy on me. Be thankful that I love you." Sohyun rolled her eyes at her brother but smiled nonetheless.

"Thanks. You know I love you too. Now, come here and give your oppa a hug. I missed my little princess so much." Suho said extending his arms.

Sohyun shook her head before giving her brother a hug.

"I missed you too oppa." She said giving her brother a squeeze.

Back in the kitchen, the other three boys still can't believe they finally met their leader's unknown sister.

"I still can't believe Suho~hyung has a sister. And a very pretty one mind you." Sehun said.

"Yah! I thought you said you have no interest in girls?" Chanyeol said.

"I know. But I can make an exception." Sehun smiled mischievously.

“I wonder why he never mentioned about her. All these years he kept her existence from us. To think we’ve known each other for almost ten years.” Chanyeol said.

"Boys, I think we should apologize for calling her "ugly "." Baekhyun said.

"Yah! It's only you who called her that. YOU should apologize to her." Sehun corrected.

           Baekhyun scowled at him.

Just then, Suho came back with his sister who’s clutching the hem of his shirt like a little child. The feisty girl they met a while ago seemed to turned into an innocent little girl with the way she clung to her older brother.

"I would like to apologize if I ever sounded a bit rude a while ago. It's just that, I didn't expect my brother would take you along with him. When he told me he’s coming, I really thought he’d be alone. I’m really sorry." Sohyun said making the three boys exchange looks.

"Oh no, you don't have to...."

           "We should be...."

"It's okay, we...." The three boys mumbled making Sohyun chuckle.

Seeing her smile, they couldn't help but become mesmerized by it. Their leader’s sister has an aura that can make any guy just stop and pay attention to her.

"I know! You boys are probably hungry. To make it up to you, I'm going to make dinner for all of us. How does that sound?" Sohyun said smiling at them.

The three boys couldn’t help but just smile back and nod their heads, like three obedient kids. The three followed her with their eyes as she graciously made her way through the kitchen.

Suho can't help but just smile and shake his head in disbelief upon seeing his band mates. The noisiest members of the group have suddenly become speechless with just the mere presence of his younger sister. They’ve been together for years but they’ve never been this attentive with him.

After about an hour, Sohyun called the boys in the dining room. The boys all began to take their seats. Their eyes grew wide with what’s in front of them. There lies in the middle of the table was the most mouth - watering roast chicken they have ever seen.

As an idol, it is quite seldom for them to eat home cooked meals. With their hectic schedule and because most of the time, they had to go on a diet, they’re used to eat what’s the easiest and fastest food they can get their hands on.

They all helped themselves with the food and ate with gusto.

"How was it?" Sohyun asked once they’re all finished eating.

           "Delicious!" The three boys exclaimed.

"Sohyun~ssi, are you a cook?" Chanyeol asked.

Sohyun and Suho looked at each other and chuckle.

          "Wae?" Chanyeol asked.

The three boys looked at the siblings confusedly. Apparently, there’s a joke that only the two of them knows about.

The siblings looked at them and smiled.

"The thing is, she's far from being a cook." Suho simply said.

"Actually, I'm a writer. A novel writer to be specific." Sohyun said.

           “Wow!” Chanyeol exclaimed.

          “Jinja?” Baekhyun asked.

          "Daebak!" Sehun said.

"I wanted my novels to be as realistic as possible. So, I go to different places and try various things as part of my research. And then I use my personal experiences so that I can write effectively. The main character of one of my novels is a chef so, I’ve decided to learn how to cook to know how it’s like." She explained.

Somehow, this piqued the three boys’ interest. This girl apparently has some of their leader’s qualities but in a different way.

The next morning, Sohyun woke up early and went to the garden. With her laptop in hand and a cup of coffee in the other, she went to the wooden swing and started typing.

She was in the middle of reviewing what she typed when all of a sudden, a white dog appeared in front of her.

"Omo! Who could you be? Are you lost little puppy? Where did you come from?" She immediately put down her laptop and picked the dog up.

She craned her neck and scanned the area to look for the possible owner but there's no one there except for her.

“I wonder who could be your owner? Probably one of the neighbors. Come on, let’s go find your owner.” Sohyun said and proceeded back inside the house.

"Vivi?! Vivi?! Chu! Chu! Chu! Vivi where are you?" Sehun called coming down the stairs.

"Vivi! There you are!" Sehun said spotting Sohyun carrying a dog as they come inside the house.

           "Is he yours?" Sohyun asked.

Sehun walked forward to meet them. Sohyun then gently handed the dog back to it’s owner.

"Ne. He got out when I opened the bedroom door. Thanks for finding him." Sehun said.

Sohyun smiled and shook her head.

"Actually, It's the other way around. I was in the garden and he kind of found me. Cute dog. Bichon right?" Sohyun said brushing Vivi's fur.

"Thanks, and you're right Vivi's a bichon. How did you know? Don’t tell me one of your stories’ character is a vet?" Sehun asked making Sohyun chuckle.

"Ani. It’s just that I used to have a pet dog just like him when I was a little girl.” Sohyun said.

“Really? Where is he now?” Sehun asked.

“Well, unfortunately he got too old, so...." Sohyun said.

"Oh... That's sad." Sehun said sympathetically.

“It’s okay, at least I got to spend fourteen long years with him.” Sohyun said.

The two were having a lively conversation about dogs when Baekhyun found them.

"Oh! You found Vivi." Baekhyun said.

"Sohyun did. Hyung, do you know she likes dogs too?" Sehun said.

"Ah, jeongmal? I have a pet dog too. A Welsh Corgi, I named him Mongryong." He proudly said.

"Hmmn... okay. I should probably go back to writing now. See you later Sehun. Bye, Vivi!" Sohyun said brushing Vivi's chin before heading back to the garden.

"Wae? No "Bye Baekhyun?" or "See you later Baekhyun?". Have I turned invisible?" Baekhyun fussed.

"Don't make it such a big deal Hyung. Right Vivi?" Sehun said as he went to the kitchen with his pet. Baekhyun tilted his head in confusion.
