explanation of school system
Epik academy does not follow a normal grading system, because of the lack of teachers. In the three years of high school, the students have a common course which everyone follows, often divided in their own classes, but sometimes the whole year follows a class together (poor teachers). They also have a specialised route that they have to choose, and that prepares them to continue to college. Routes like this are arts, sciences, handiwork, languages and more. But they still try to keep those general, for example, the arts students might follow architecture in college, but also fashion design.
The college is even harder to maintain. While principal Kim really wants to give the college kids a safe school as well, because of the lack of teachers and supplies for specific courses, the college students sometimes have to go to the nearby town's normal college to follow classes there, which are mostly the practical stuff like chemistry lab for chemistry students or working on models for architecture students. They therefor have a good connection with the nearby college, and those students don't really give weird looks anymore when an Epik academy student happens to show their powers in class.
