Crimsonthis chapter is a flashback, not told in jungeun's point of view. anything in italics is part of the flashback. this chapter is shorter than the others as i didn't want to add anything from the present onto the flashback, but i feel like it was needed to give more insight to what happened with hyejoo.
Everything was great. We were such a good team. We could take down anyone and anything. We were powerful, strong, victorious.
That was until she became too strong for us.
It started when she took charge instead of Haseul. She became independent, stronger than the rest of us. We began to fear her. She was becoming dangerous. A murderer. We were vampires, we were murderers, but she took it to another level. Mindlessly killing anyone who crossed her path. The only one she would talk to and trust was Heejin. She was the closest to Heejin. And after that Sooyoung. But she didn't trust the others. That's when we knew we had to do something.
"We have to kill her." Haseul said.
"How? She'd kill us first." Jinsoul frowned.
"She can't kill us all if we ganged up on her." Hyunjin said.
"So how do you want to do this then?" Sooyoung asked.
"You and Heejin have to trap her somehow. She needs to be vulnerable. She trust you two the most." Haseul said. "We will strike when it's getting light. She'll be weaker then."
The plan was set. Now we just had to wait.
Hyejoo came back a few hours later. Her hands were bloodied and she was grinning.
