(goodbyes)
2017 started brightly, with his first full Japanese album and his second Japanese tour.
“One Voice” was received so well, that it even became the first album by a Korean soloist to top the Oricon weekly chart and Kyuhyun felt more than just ecstatic.
The amount of love he received was completely overwhelming to the point where Kyuhyun couldn’t even believe it.
He felt more than just blessed.

He was scared that all the love and acceptance he has received for the past few years would completely disappear the moment he enlists.

He did not want to be forgotten.
Kyuhyun already felt lonely.

Cho Kyuhyun is always known for showing his bright, witty side. Cho Kyuhyun isn’t supposed to cry nor feel vulnerable, that’s why at his last fan meeting he wouldn’t show his insecurities and sadness. Instead, he became whiny and seemed funnily clingy to the fans there, wanting to fulfill all of their requests and extend the meeting’s time as much as possible.
And all that, without crying or looking sad.
He broke enough times this year in front of his fans, he should just hold it all inside for now.
And at the end he just gave the fans a deep bow and a huge smile.

“Goodbye For Now” was his last gift to the fans; his last plea to them to not forget him, to at least listen to his songs once in a while.
“Goodbye For Now” was his farewell, at least for now.

On the 25thof May, Kyuhyun eventually enlisted.
…
“I drew out the day we’d meet again countlessly; telling myself not to cry, not to be nervous, as I wait for you.”
“But will you wait for me?”
