Soulmate Up10tionA/N: I went with a typical choice for a soulmate au but hopefully it went well

- Color. Think about it; it’s a strange word but we know it’s how we differentiate objects in our lives
- In your life, everyone starts out seeing the world with only two colors: black and white
- Nothing fancy about those two, it just happened to be that way
- In school, everything was concentrated around the idea of soulmates and what to expect when you find yours
- Today happened to be the day your teacher would cover the affects of finding your soulmate, everyone was excited, ecstatic even
- All of them were, but you. So why is that?
- “Soulmate this, soulmate that, what a bunch of crap. I don’t believe in love at first sight and I don’t believe in things that are meant to be”
- Oh yeah…that’s why (moving on..yikes you know you’re very particular)
- Your teacher explained that finding one’s soulmate reveals all the color in the world to you, instead of seeing just black and white
- Thankfully Soulmate 101 was your last class and that meant you could go back home to relax
- The teacher went on and on about how getting light headed is a sign that your soulmate is near and feeling pain in your heart or chest is normal
- “Dizziness my …I hate this class”
- Geez, my girl, chill out it’s only to help you out in the future (unless you want to know nothing then in that case be my guest)
- Finally, you heard the bell ring, signaling the end of the school day, and you booked it right out of there
- School wasn’t a joy in your life and hearing about soulmates was getting on your nerves
- All your life you’ve been told the same information and by now it feels like you’re being fed the same stories
- As you thought to yourself you phone vibrated in your back pocket
- You pulled it out, checking the ID: Life Giver
- UGH
- Dinner was being delayed due to your sad excuse of a brother not going shopping earlier for food and now she was making you go instead
- At least it would give you something to do, and provide a distraction from all this nonsense
- The weather was nice, a warm breeze rushed over your skin like water on a beach, your hair flowing with the movement of the air
- Many families were outside with their children, some headed for the park and some headed towards the lake
- While there were many things in life that didn’t put a smile on your face, this however was not one of those things
- You loved seeing families together enjoying the day with each other; the children with big smiles on their faces as they walked with their parents
- In moments like this the world felt real and unbridled, unlike in the classroom where no one could get past themselves and making themselves perfect
- On a certain level it disgusted you, but you could see deep down where it came from; that need to be perfect for that significant other in your life
- You made the shopping quick, getting only what your mom asked for and headed back out as soon as you could
- The trip took about an hour, that includes time walking from school to the store, getting the food, and then heading back home
- “I’m home!” kicking off your shoes in the process before someone takes the bags out of your hands
- You figured it was your bother, so you decided to give him a piece of your mind
- “Jordan I told you before, don’t put your jobs on me. I know you ‘have plans’ but I’m in an older grade than you and have much more homework. Next time this happens I’m not getting the food.”
- “Uh…not Jordan but I’m glad you got here in time. And thank you for inviting my parents and I over.”
- Whipping your head up to see who was talking, you came face to face with a boy
- His eyes, you could tell, were supposed to be a deep dark brown like chocolate
- He flashed you a quick smile before taking the bags back to the kitchen, where you assumed your mom and brother were
- As you watched the boys figure move away from you, something about him set off an alarm in you
- Your head started to spin, quickly you reached out for the banister but missed by a mile and a half
- Before you could hit the ground someone caught you, again it was the same boy who took the food from your hands
- Neither of you said anything, just looking each other over in silence that was neither comfortable nor uncomfortable
- Your eyes ran over his features, he was down right beautiful you had to admit and he seemed like a very nice charming guy
- Then you stopped dead in your tracks as another wave of dizziness hit you and suddenly a smile broke out on your face
- “So that’s what blue looks like.”
- You were able to the light blue of his button down, fingers running over the soft fabric slowly
- His hair was pitch black, reminding you of coal and yet…it felt comforting to you
- He flashed another smile at you before tucking a piece of your hair behind your ear, in doing so his eyes widened
- “Ah, so you dyed your hair red. I like it.”
- Neither of you could say anything else as you started blushing like mad
- How was it that this boy made you so damn giddy and you just met him…three minutes ago?
- Then it hit you; the symptoms, feeling dizzy, pain, seeing colors for the first time…this was the boy you were meant to be with for the rest of your life
- His lips parted, slowly forming the right words but all you could concentrate on was wanting to kiss him
- “I guess your my…”
- “And you, mine. May I?”
- He didn’t give you time to respond as his soft lips just barely grazed yours, asking again for permission, which you gladly gave him
- His right hand came up to cup your cheek, tilting your head just ever so slightly to give him more access
- Everything stopped, the dizziness, the pain in your heart, it was all gone the moment his lips touched yours
- You moved in perfect harmony, occasionally he nipped at your bottom lip with his teeth
- After a short make out session he pulled away, breathing heavily as his eyes stared back into yours
- The edge of his lips curved up into a cute smile as he kissed your forehead gently before pulling you to your feet
- “I think we might want to go back…your parents might–”
- “It’s fine, my parents won’t mind since it’s my soulmate.”
- Holding hands, you two made your way back to the kitchen to help with the rest of the meal
- Once around the table a thought occurred to you: you two didn’t know each others names
- “Wooshin, are you happy you found your soulmate?”
- “Y/N-ah, what about you? Are you happy?”
- You two looked at each other, big smiles broke out on both of your faces as you moved closer to him
- “I think this is the happiest we’ve ever been in our lives”
