The First Day, also known as, The Enlightening

From the heavens, the 13 Ancient Ones cycled through the galaxies. Pulsating with old power, wandering the universe, they drifted through the heavens. They hardly communicated, they hardly paid any attention to each other. Each essence was a star that shone more brightly than the regular stars, each essence burned in its own distinctive color…red, blue, green, purple, gold…

If you happened to be looking, any other night, you’d see the lazy, familiar, trails they left behind them throughout the sky that shimmered in their star’s respective color before it faded away…but if you happen to be watching the heavens tonight, I invite you to look a little more closely. If you aren’t paying attention, you just might miss a fateful occurrence that is about to happen.

An almost imperceptible shimmer began glowing from the red star. It began pulsing more aggressively, and in the swiftest of moments, the red star shot from its regular position in the skies, abandoned its orbit, it’s brethren, and flew at the speed of light swiftly out of sight.

It raced towards an old world that existed, forgotten in the universe…a world full of darkness. In a bright, intense flash, the star flared into a hulking, outline of flame as it descended through the dark world’s atmosphere…On this fateful night, it had been called. And it would answer the call.
