I was half asleep when I wrote this... I don't know if you guys will like it or not >< but I hope you guys do... I know it but... TT I'm jicheol domestic fanfic deprived these days ;u;

Seungcheol was stressed. It was a rare sight for the man to get stressed no matter how bad the situation was usually he could handle it well, but no not this time when it seemed like there was no end to his work load. He brought his works home which rarely happened, he did it nearly 24/7 for the whole week. He felt like he lost himself buried under the papers he had to check nearly every minute. His phone was busy most of the time, endless meeting even on weekends. If life was a cartoon you could see smoke coming out from Seungcheol’s head. Lucky for him though, he had Jihoon next to him supporting him. The younger didn’t nag much too. The usual noisy home with their 5 years old energetic son Samuel and their new addition to the family one year old boy Dino had toned down, maybe it was because Seungcheol concentrating too much with his works but his son didn’t disturb him at all when he had work to do at home and Seungcheol really thankful for that.

Seungcheol looked up from his laptop when Jihoon came in with a glass of something green which Seungcheol believed was something good for energy and immune system or whatever it is, he was touched by how caring Jihoon lately and guilty at the same time knowing he rarely there for the family

“Awwww is that for me?” Seungcheol asked when Jihoon stood next to him and put the glass down

“This? Actually it’s for Samuel but someone kidnapped him from our home today” Jihoon shrugged “So you drink it”

“Leftover? Seriously?” Seungcheol snorted knew Jihoon actually bought it for him 

“Yeah I heard leftover is good for busy man” Jihoon leaned his body on Seungcheol’s working table while watching Seungcheol drank the green stuffs gratefully

“Who kidnapped our son anyway? How about Dino?”

“Mingyu and Wonwoo maybe they are planning to have a kid too? I don’t know but Sammy totally happy about it, I heard they are going to amusement park today I hope they don’t give bad influence to our son” Jihoon snorted suddenly remember his son might get affected by the couple “Dino is napping now oh I should wake him up soon if not I won’t get any sleep tonight” Jihoon was about to leave his husband alone again when Seungcheol pulled his arm “Wha -“

“I’m sorry” Seungcheol whispered his tone sounded so sad and Jihoon knew it was his time to do counselling for his husband again

“Instead of sorry how about a thank you instead? I really appreciate what you are doing and so do our sons, just remember to take care of yourself and take a break sometimes” Jihoon leaned down to kiss Seungcheol

“I miss our sons” Seungcheol said playing with Jihoon’s knuckles “I can’t wait for it to be over so we can go somewhere together” Seungcheol sighed feeling better after he talked out his feeling

“And we ca’t wait too” Jihoon said before he pointed to the glass on the table “Finish up that energy booster. I need to wake our monster already” Jihoon left another kiss before he walked out and before he closed the door he heard Seungcheol shouted ‘I love you’ which brought a smile to Jihoon’s lips

Seungcheol was overloaded with data, he closed his eyes took a deep breath trying to refocus he rubbed his eyes looked at the time and sighed ‘1am’ maybe he should close his eyes for few hours and continue later, yes he should but after one more document. Seungcheol was so ready to continue with whatever he was doing when suddenly he heard the door to his study room opened and Samuel was standing at the doorway while holding his dinosaur plushie, Seungcheol wanted to ask what happened when suddenly Samuel ran to him and clinging on his legs asking to be lifted up, Seungcheol smiled and lifted the boy up to his lap and just like he was dreaming Samuel rested his head on Seungcheol’s chest and immediately closed his eyes while Seungcheol rubbing his back gently

“Hi buddy, are you sleeping?” Seungcheol chuckled when Samuel nodded on his chest “So why are you up and not in your own bed? Did you have nightmare just now?” Seungcheol sighed in relief when Samuel shook his head “Alright, do you want me to bring you to your own bed?” Seungcheol was ready to stand when Samuel whined

“No, I want to sleep with you daddy” Samuel confessed “Dino cried and it woke me up I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn’t” 

“I’ll be done in 30 minutes, do you mind to sleep like this until then?” Seungcheol asked with one hand still caressing Samuel’s back, another hand on his laptop, Samuel nodded and after that the boy back to dreamland, head resting on Seungcheol’s chest and his small arms trying to wrap around Seungcheol’s body, plushie long forgotten on the floor. Seungcheol sighed in content, it felt so good to have his son wrapped around him like this, It was warm and calming, he decided to work faster so he could put his son back to his own bed. Adjusting Samuel’s position on his lap carefully, Seungcheol continued his work typing carefully trying his best not to disturb the boy on his arms, he spent nearly 20minutes working in silent when suddenly Samuel stirred on his arm 

“Daddy..” The boy mumbled

“Did I disturb you? Let’s just go to bed you need to sleep properly” Seungcheol leaned back on his chair caressing Samuel’s hair

“I want to grow up to be like you in the future” Seungcheol was stunned with what his son said “I want to grow up faster so I can take care of you and appa, I want to be hardworking like you, so Daddy and Appa don’t need to worry, I’m going to take care of you both in the future, no more working for daddy and appa you just need to rest at home” Seungcheol could feel his eyes were filled with tears, he looked down to his son and saw Samuel’s eyes were still closed but he definitely not sleeping

“I…” Seungcheol choked on his own tears “I’m so proud of you baby, I believe you can be better than me in the future” Seungcheol wrapped his arm around Samuel letting out all his feelings through a warm hug, he kissed Samuel’s head gently

“I love you daddy, thank you for always working hard for us” this time Samuel opened his eyes and gave Seungcheol a kiss on his lips

“I love you too baby, I love you so much” Seungcheol meant that, and when he looked up he found Jihoon was standing at the doorway watching his husband and his son sweet moment with a big smile and happiness radiating from his eyes

No matter how stressful his works could be, at the end of the day when he looked at how happy his small family is… it’s worth it… it’s damn worth it… His family, his everything, and Seungcheol couldn’t be happier than now

One week later…

“Daddy can uncle Seungkwan join our vacation to New York? He said he misses Uncle Hansol but he doesn’t have enough saving to meet him, can he can he? I feel bad for him” Seungcheol choked on his coffee upon listening to Samuel’s request
