The sun was starting to set and night was closing in. Workers were coming back home from work; students were going home with their friends; and night workers were opening their shops and stores for the day's business. The street of Seoul was as hectic as ever, busy with cars like any other days.

Tao was lounging on his couch with his eyes glued to his phone and a bag slung on his shoulder. Tao was reading the latest and hottest news on the Internet when he heard knocks coming from the door. Tao knew who it was and he quickly got up from the couch and rushed to the door to answer it.

Waiting outside the door was a familiar face with tanned skin, short black hair and dark brown eyes. He was wearing a casual outfit — if you consider denim flannel with jeans as casual — and a smile plastered on his face. When he saw Tao, his eyes brightened a bit and his smile widened a little more as he waved.

"Hey," he bid before thumbing to his car, "Here to pick you up."

Tao rolled his eyes — as if it wasn't obvious yet that he was there to pick him up — and the other grinned before stepping back so Tao could step out onto the porch. Tao closed the door behind him and locked it — since his parents were out and Tao's family don't own any maids or servants — before turning back to the male on the porch and smiling widely.

"Shall we go then, Jinfu?" Tao asked as he pointed to the car, not waiting for his friend's response before immediately making his way to the vehicle.

Tao got into the passenger seat while Jinfu took the driver's seat, starting up the engine and driving out and away from Tao's place. The radio was playing some songs but Tao didn't bring himself to bother what songs they were since he was chatting with Jinfu throughout the whole ride to their night club. The ride to the night club usually only takes around half an hour — if there's no traffic jam — and in a matter of minutes, Tao and Jinfu arrived to their night club.

Jinfu stopped the car to let Tao out so the latter could open the garage door behind their night club for him. Jinfu drove the car into the garage and parked it, turning the engine off while Tao closed the garage door. Jinfu got out of the car just in time to find Tao unlocking the backdoor and opening it.

The two went through the backdoor and passed by the rows after rows of doors — they were rooms provided for their customers to have their one-night-stands in — before finally arriving to the end of the hallway. Tao turned the knob and the door opened, the two friends stepping into the night club itself. Tao handed Jinfu his bag so the bartender could put it away while he went off to unlock the front door and turn over the sign from 'CLOSED' to 'OPEN'.

Tao went around the night club sweeping away dust that might've accumulated in the morning and wiping the tables whereas Jinfu took care of the bar. As time passed, workers started coming in through the front door and helped around in preparing the night club for business. By the time they were done making sure the club was clean, it was already night time and customers were already starting to stream into the place.

It started off quiet and peaceful with very little customers, some were surrounding the bar while some were in booths. As time went by the number of customers gradually increased and before Tao and Jinfu knew it, they needed to turn up the music and change the genre from jazz to pop. Now, the dance floor was covered with people dancing and the club was full of people with drinks in their hands.

The night club was now crowded, noisy and busy like every other nights.

Tao went around serving drinks to customers who were seated at their booths, trying but failing to avoid some of the drunkards' hands that tried to his — they just never learn. When he didn't see anymore customers that needed tending to, he opted to stay by the bar and ask for something to drink — definitely not something alcoholic because hangovers don't suit him well. Jinfu served Tao a can of coke and Tao drank the gassy drink after thanking the bartender for the drink.

Tao watched from the bar for a bit, seeing waiters and waitresses alike rushing forward when there was a customer that needed to be tended to; the people who were too high off their minds were dancing on the dance platform very ungraciously; there were also people standing around and blocking the workers' ways from tending to customers; finally, there were the people around the bar who were talking over the loud music and laughing at whatever weird jokes their partners were saying.

Tao looked over to the entrance to find two new customers in the club. They were looking around the night club like inspectors, their eyes roaming the place and their heads nodding as if they approved of the place. Tao didn't know why he felt offended by the way the couple was looking around the club — they looked like they were judging his baby club, the club that he and Jinfu worked hard in creating.

Tao pushed the thought away as he abandoned his can of coke to tend to the two newcomers.

"Welcome to Devil's Nest," he greeted the couple, "You seemed a bit lost, may I be of any help?"

Either the two of them heard him and ignored him or they didn't notice him in the first place, whatever the reason was Tao decided to call out to them once more with his hands outstretched in front of their faces and his fingers snapping.

"Hello?" Tao called out to the two, "Anyone in there?"

This time, the couple looked over and they seemed momentarily shock to find Tao standing there, like he appeared out of thin air — Tao figured that they probably didn't notice him when he called them.

Tao cleared his throat as he repeated the question to them, "Can I be of any help?"

The couple was a pair of male, one towering over Tao and the other shorter than Tao. The taller of the two had purplish pink hair which was obviously dyed and big round eyes — his eyes stood out a lot and made him look like a puppy. The shorter of the two on the other hand had brunette hair and was wearing eyeliner.

The shorter of the two was the first to speak up, a soft smile on his face and for a moment Tao thought that he was a female instead, "Ah, we heard of this bar from a friend of ours and decided to have our honeymoon here."

The brunette turned to his tall partner, "Right, Yeollie?"

The tall male — Yeollie, Tao guessed that its his nickname since it sounded too weird to be an actual name — smiled down widely at the brunette, "Of course, Baekkie."

'Yeollie' leaned down to snuggle at the shorter male's — Baekkie, again, probably a nickname — neck, causing a giggle to emit from the latter.

Tao felt an uncomfortable shudder ran down his spine as he resisted the urge to cringe at the two couples, instead he commented, "Well, it's not common for honeymoon couples to come to clubs to celebrate their anniversaries."

'Baekkie' beamed at Tao, "We're not the usual kind of honeymoon couples, we like things odd instead of cliche."

Tao nodded before asking them again, "Do you need help with anything?"

'Baekkie' nodded at Tao as he requested, "Maybe you can start by leading us to a booth?"

'Baekkie' looked over at the crowded night club and gestured to it, commenting, "The booths here are all full, but I guess there's more booths than this, right?"

True to 'Baekkie''s words, the booths nearer to the entrance of the night club were already taken by other customers.

Tao nodded at what 'Baekkie' said and pointed to a direction, "Follow me, Mr-?"

"Call me Baekhyun," the brunette told Tao then gestured to his tall partner, "This is my boyfriend, Chanyeol."

'Yeollie' — or more like Chanyeol like Baekhyun said — grinned at Tao and waved enthusiastically, reminding Tao once again of a cute puppy.

Tao smiled at the two of them and nodded to the direction he had been pointing towards, "Okay, right this way."

Tao led the couple to the booths at the back of the bar and directed them to one of the empty booths. Baekhyun and Chanyeol sat in the booth that Tao directed to them and once the two got themselves seated, Tao asked them what they would like to have for drinks.

"What do you want to drink, Baekkie?" Chanyeol asked his brunette lover.

Baekhyun giggled at his tall lover before answering, "Whatever you want, Yeollie."

Tao breathed in slowly, deciding to stop this exchange before he pukes from just how awfully lovey-dovey the couple was being, "How about our club's special drink for the day?"

The couple turned to Tao and Baekhyun replied with a smile, "That would be nice."

Baekhyun turned to Chanyeol, "What do you think, Yeollie?"

Chanyeol shrugged, the wide smile not leaving his face, "I'm up for anything you want."

Baekhyun turned back to Tao and nodded, "We'll have one of those, thank you very much."

          Tao nodded, "Coming right up."

Tao practically ran away from the couple. Never before had he felt so glad to be able to leave a customer. Most customers were annoying, but those customers might not compare to the disgustingly romantic customers that were Baekhyun and Chanyeol.

Tao looked out of breath by the time he reached the bar to order the drink that the couple had requested. Jinfu had thought he had seen a ghost, or maybe Tao was the one who had seen a ghost. Tao didn't know why he was out of breath himself, it could have something to do with the crowded club or the temperature or the couple from before.

"Dude," the bartender came over to the waiter, one hand on his back as he asked worriedly, "Are you okay?"

"Never been better," was Tao's answer.

Jinfu had a dubious look, "You panting like you just ran a marathon equals to 'never been better'? Now that's new."

Tao shook his head, "You have no idea what I've seen."

Jinfu raised a brow, "Oh? Did you see a ghost? Do they actually exist?"

"No," the waiter the bartender a glare, "What are you? Eight?"

"If it's not a ghost then what got you so spooked?" Jinfu challenged, leaning back and crossing his arms.

Tao inhaled deeply before answering, "A couple."

"A couple?" Jinfu didn't know what to make of that sentence.

"Yes," the waiter gestured with his hands, "You know, a pair of lovers who finally realise their love for each other and couldn't bring themselves to separate from one another?"

"Well there wasn't a need for you to be so descriptive with the definition but thanks anyway," the bartender leaned forward onto the counter, "Though you got my attention, tell me more about this couple of yours."

And Tao did, telling him about Chanyeol and Baekhyun and how awfully romantic the two were. They had these weird nicknames for each other and their exchange with one another is something that even romance writers can't bring themselves to write out. And, has he mentioned how awfully disgusting the two's romance were?

Jinfu's eyebrows were raised by the time Tao was done with his story, the older blinking a few times as he tried to absorb all those information into his brain. Tao stared at Jinfu and waited for the male to let all that he had said sink in. There was silence between them for a minute or two, before something in Jinfu's eyes flashed that signaled the end of his processing mind.

          His reaction?

"Oh," the bartender let out a low whistle, "Okay."

Tao and Jinfu stared at each other for a moment.

"That's it?" Tao raised a brow, "Just 'oh' and 'okay'?"

"What else do you want me to say?" Jinfu questioned, "'That's so disgusting'? 'Ew'?"

"Something at least," the waiter dramatically waved his arms around in the air, "I didn't just waste my breath and tell you all of this just so that I could get an 'Oh, okay' as a reaction!"

"Well I'm sorry, your highness," the bartender shot back, "I don't see what's so wrong about two guys being romantic with one another."

"It's not the fact that they're being romantic together," the waiter explained, "Nor is it because they're guys. It's the fact that they're basically interacting with one another like a pair of lovers would but when the lovers are behind closed doors!"

"Tao," the bartender deadpanned, "Which side of Earth are you from?"

"The same side as yours," was what Tao answered and got a smack at the head for.

"You couldn't possibly have not seen people being romantic like that before, right?" Jinfu asked him.

"I can't even bring myself to watch my parents 'flirting' with each other," the waiter fired back, "Don't tell me you can!"

Jinfu looked like he was ready to retort back to the waiter but instead he paused for a moment and thought about it, a shudder running down his spine as he closed his mouth and nodded, "Yeah, you got a point."

Tao gave Jinfu an 'I told you so' gesture before beckoning Jinfu, "Two glasses of Frozen Palace by the way."

Jinfu nodded and went away to make the requested drinks, picking up his shaker and pouring things in — Tao didn't get a good look at what they were — before closing it tight. Jinfu then skilfully shook the shaker to mix the ingredients inside together before uncapping the shaker and pouring the liquid into two tall glasses that were filled with shaved ice from top to bottom. The blue liquid ran down the shaved ice like a waterfall before filling up the whole glass.

Jinfu filled the two glasses up with the liquid before adding stirring sticks and straws into the glass, placing a paper umbrella in the drink for decoration. Jinfu came over to Tao with the drinks and gave them to the male — Tao smiling at his friend and thanking him as he took the pair of glasses. Tao turned around and almost tripped — don't ask how it happened — scaring Jinfu out of his skin as the waiter almost poured the drinks.

Tao looked back at Jinfu with a sheepish grin, "Kicked my own leg, nothing big!"

Jinfu huffed at his friend's clumsiness but waved him off so that he could go serve the drinks to the two lovers that Tao was talking about.

Tao squeezed his way through the crowd, making sure that the drink doesn't spill onto others as he made his way to the couple's table. Tao took in a deep breath when he was finally out of the crowd and looked around, trying to get his bearings. Tao quickly spotted the honeymoon couples chatting away at their booth and he quickly walked to them with their drinks in hands.

"Here," he served the drinks, "Two glasses of Frozen Palace."

"Wow," the brunette exclaimed, "They look amazing!"

Tao smiled proudly, "My friend made it."

"Well," the brunette turned to Tao with the same smile on his face, "Your friend sure is a talented one."

Tao chuckled, "I'll be sure to tell him that."

Chanyeol was pouting at everything Baekhyun said and he whined, "You never said that to me, and you're praising other guys!"

Baekhyun cooed at his tall boyfriend and patted his cheek, "Come on now, Yeollie. You know that you're talented in your own unique ways!"

Chanyeol huffed, "But you don't praise me like you did to his friend."

Baekhyun chuckled, "I don't need to praise you, because you're just perfect in every way and praises can't even start showing how much I love you!"

Chanyeol grinned and leaned over to place a quick peck on Baekhyun's lips, "I love you too!"

Baekhyun giggled, "Oh, Yeollie! My sweet, sweet Yeollie."

Tao ran off, not being able to stand another second with the two.

Tao ended up going back to the bar to rest as he continued to drink the coke that he had abandoned when he went to greet Baekhyun and Chanyeol. Jinfu was considerate enough to store the half-drank coke back into the refrigerator so it would stay cold. Tao would talk to Jinfu when the latter wasn't busy tending to the customers surrounding the bar.

From time to time, Tao would also have to leave Jinfu so that he could tend to the customers that needed help with anything. When there was none or if other waiters had things under control, Tao would come back to Jinfu to talk to him and continue to drink his can of coke. They won't stop talking unless Tao or Jinfu spotted a customer that was calling for a waiter.

At some point while Tao was resting at the bar and Jinfu busied himself with the customers around the bar, Tao spotted Baekhyun and Chanyeol coming forward from the corner of his eyes. They were holding hands and chatting to one another as they made their way to the bar. Tao tensed momentarily, bracing himself for the awful romantic exchange between the two like before.

Instead, when the two were close to the bar, Baekhyun tore his gaze away from Chanyeol to look at Tao. Tao almost choked on his coke, quickly wiping away the trickles of liquid that rolled down his chin as he put the can away. Baekhyun smiled at Tao as he and Chanyeol stopped in front of Tao.

"We want to pay for the drinks," came Baekhyun and Tao blinked at him for a moment.

"Oh," the waiter got up from his seat so he could round into the bar, "I thought you want something else."

"Customers usually leave the tips under the glasses of their drinks," the waiter explained to the brunette as he opened the cashier and held out a hand for Baekhyun to hand over the cash, "No one really comes forward to the cashier."

Baekhyun looked at Tao in surprise while his hands busied in getting the cash, "Is that so?"

Tao nodded and Baekhyun asked again, "Isn't there a set price for the drinks?"

Tao looked thoughtful for a moment and he hummed, "You're right, maybe we should put a set price on our drinks next time. Then, we would have more money to share."

"But to answer your question, no," the waiter replied, "Our policy is 'Payment has to be above one thousand won'. We have many workers to pay off, you know?"

Baekhyun chuckled at that statement, "I see. Then if you were to set a price for the drinks Yeollie and I had, how much would it be?"

Tao ignored the nickname Baekhyun gave Chanyeol as he thought, "Five thousand, maybe."

Baekhyun handed Tao the cash, "Ten thousand won it is then."

Tao looked at Baekhyun in surprise, counting the cash and his jaw almost dropped to the ground when it was in fact ten thousand won in his hands.

"I only said 'maybe'," the waiter looked up and was about to protest when out of the blue, a finger was placed on his lips and Baekhyun shushed him from saying any more.

"Just keep it," the brunette winked, "We have more where that came from."

Tao didn't know what to make of that sentence but decided not to question about it.

"Oh well then," the brunette waved his hands at the waiter as he took hold of Chanyeol's hand once more, fingers interlacing with his lover's, "Bye bye! See you again, Tao."

Tao waved back at the lovers as they exited the night club. Tao heard somebody calling for waiter and immediately went over to said customer. Tao took the customer's order and went back to the bar to place the order.

As the night continued, a sudden thought came to Tao.

'I didn't tell Baekhyun my name,' the waiter suddenly felt cold all over.

'How did he know my name?'

It was a Saturday morning with the sun barely peeking out from its hiding spot and the birds already up and about. Tao was awoken by the sound of his alarm clock going off, groaning to himself and slamming the alarm clock off. Tao hummed, tossing and turning in his bed before finally sitting upright.

Tao's black hair was messy and stuck out in every single direction possible, his eye bags made his eyes looked droopier than they actually were. Tao brought a hand up to his mouth and yawned, blinking a few times to adjust his sight. Tao looked around at his room before his eyes landed on the clock.

It was early and for a moment Tao wondered why his clock went off.

After some thoughts, the memory came to him and he let out an 'oh'.

He and Jinfu had agreed to get some new bottles of alcohol since their current ones were getting lesser and lesser. They also needed to buy ingredients for the night's special drink. Mint, salt, gas drink, sour plum — don't ask, Jinfu always finds a way to make his drinks interesting but safe to consume.

Tao sighed and got out of bed, stretching lazily and ruffling his hair as he shuffled over to his closet. Tao picked out his outfit for the day before making his way to his bathroom. Tao had his teeth brushed and his body scrubbed before putting on the clothes and opening the bathroom door.

Tao wiped his hair dry before hanging it on the towel rack in the bathroom, exiting the bathroom and made his way out of his bedroom. Tao quickly got down to the kitchen where he could smell breakfast being made. When Tao entered the kitchen, he found his mother frying eggs and brewing coffee.

"Morning, mom," the male greeted as he made a bee-line for the refrigerator, opening it to retrieve the carton of milk.

"Morning to you too, sweetie," his mother greeted and avert her attention from her cooking so she could plant a kiss on her son's cheek.

Tao's father came in at that moment while fixing his tie, "Morning, son."

"Morning, dad," the male poured himself a glass of milk while his father went over to give his wife a 'good morning' kiss.

"You're awfully early today, sweetie," his mother noted as she placed a plate — there were two sunny-side-ups, strips of bacon and baked beans on the plate — onto the table, "Do you have any plans for today?"

Tao nodded and took his seat, pulling the plate to himself, "Jinfu and I are going shopping today."

"Please don't let it be Gucci," he could hear his father praying and he rolled his eyes.

"Dad," the male shot his father a glare as the latter let out a laug
